Simon manages to grab the cabochon before Lasha eats it and attaches it to his shield. Patched up, you continue moving towards the gate.

A mob of angry conscripts allied with the Hellknights is trying to grab a human priest that has stopped to tend to some fallen goblin soldiers. From their shouting, it's clear that the priest was once among these conscripts, but he experienced a change of heart when he spotted the wounded goblin. Not content to merely denounce the priest for his treachery, the bloodthirsty mob has decided to attack.

...but Shimmer doesn't see a gap in their defenses. She knows if she attacked right now, she'd fail, so she takes a moment to try to find an actionable weakness before attempting to tend to an injured Pathfinder.

I had not drawn a weapon in case Simon wanted to use athletics to trip or something. That's unlikely to work against a troop. Besides, he had his shield boss to use if necessary.

Lasha do you really want Mason inside that mob? :) You can have your third action back to readjust.

Mason is caught completely by surprise and gets hit with more arrows than anyone else Natural 1; Crit Fail. He moves in but is unable to make any strike connect.

Lasha dodges the worst of the bolts. He moves in and manages to slash at the unruly mob, wounding several soldiers. 3rd action pending

Simon doesn't get out of the way in time and takes a pair of bolts to his arm. He draws his sword and charges, but can't make contact.

Ulfgar moves in but also can't hit anything.

At the time I did it he wasn’t there. I know initiative order is a bit fluid on the boards though. I wanted them a square to the south so we could flank them from the north and south. It’s not that big a deal so can just have a fascinating performance with focused fascination to regain my panache.

Lasha gets out of the way and avoids the worst of the damage. The pirouette he makes as he avoids most of the slashes gives him panache. He then attempts to channel his best Man in Black routine but the mob only laughs at him. His strike also leaves much to be desired as he almost drops his sword.

Simon calls on the Inheritor and shields Lasha from the damage. He strikes at the mob and connects!

Shimmer tries to get an angle on the mob but miscalculates and her shot hits a nearby wall. Reloading quickly, she shoots again and drills some of the mob.

Hana blasts the mob with some strange music.

GM Dice:

Although the mob toughs out the music, they still take a bit more damage, indicating a weakness for area attacks!

Ulfgar moves in and his weapons move like a blur. The mob takes a total of three hits from axe and dagger and get smaller!

Mason moves in and with one strike causes the mob to break and run!

116 hp. Disperses at 15 hp. After all that damage, I'm looking at 96 damage so I'm calling it here.

This has all been very straightforward, so far. Which isn't bad for a change, but still!

Okay, fine. Shimmer can use that. Particularly by letting it think she isn't paying any attention to it, either.

She moves over, eyes focused on the closer one as she takes a shot. And then fires off another, perfectly lined up shot at the farther one before it could realize she was done reloading. As she planned.

◇ Recall Knowledge with Known Weaknesses (which I've been forgetting to use). Religion +6 if necessary. Untrained Lore +9. Hopefully Shimmer can use her +12 Occultism or Society (and roll again with the same bonus on a non-critical failure with the same bonus, thanks to Kreighton's Cognitive Crossover) instead. She's looking for a weakness or weak point. On a critical success, she and all allies gain a +1 circumstance bonus to their next attacks against Blue.
