Galileo Figaro Magnifico
Galileo descends the remainder of the ladder and tries to catch up to the action. Not sure how many moves or how far I can get in one move.
"Running and hiding won't save you now, Hyve! He calls out.
Brother Laurence
Brother Laurence looks at the table covered in alchemical equipment and immediately thinks of Oswald's actions above. Deciding that they will have to search through them later, he follows the others down the passage, making his way carefully.
Climb, ACP: 1d20 + 6 - 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 - 6 = 10

Sorry- I think I accidentally clicked off updates for this game
Bear moves over to the waterslide wet chute and hesitates for a moment while Edalmir gets a firm grip on the straps of his saddle. Then he steps in and begins to slide, using his long claws to control his descent (and that of the small people attached to him).
climb: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
DM_Delmoth
Apologies for the delay, working through some mental health stuff and not really feeling like doing anything for a while.
Galileo runs to the shute past Valkarian and rides it down as if he was at some animal themed amusement park. Seeing the drop coming he’s able to twist at the last minute, landing in the water and only slightly bruised, Nonlethal: 2d3 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5
Euda and Galileo wisely take caution.
Below now that several of you have discovered it
Partially composed of a natural cavern, partially remnants of long-buried buildings and foundations, the ceiling of this dank, 40-foot-tall cavern is supported by several stone pillars. Water drips from numerous spots in the ceiling, pattering into a fungus-choked lake below. Here and there, islands and beaches rise from the sides of the dark lake, but these areas of doubtful land are clogged with hideous fungi of pale yellow, bone white, bruise purple, and other noxious hues.
Hyve swim, DC 10: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Water ripples where Keeper Hyve now starts to drown, doing your dirty work for you.
PCs go, swim DC here is 10
Oswald Copperpot
Oswald seems to be trying to decide if he really should dirty his clothing....
Having had previously made that particular decision (should have gotten that Wand of Prestidigitation!), the Gillman easily swims 30' to the drowning Asshat and grabs his hair!
Cmb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
The Investigator's efforts do seem a bit...lacking.
Valkarian
Valkarian makes his way down carefully.
Climb DC 5, ACP, Accelerated Climbing: 1d20 + 11 - 4 - 5 ⇒ (7) + 11 - 4 - 5 = 9 Half movement, so 10'
Climb DC 5, ACP, Accelerated Climbing: 1d20 + 11 - 4 - 5 ⇒ (19) + 11 - 4 - 5 = 21 Another 10'
Galileo Figaro Magnifico
"Weeeeeeee!" splash!
Swim: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Wet golden locks emerge from the dank water as Galileo looks about for their quarry. He sees the Gillman dive below and swims to that spot.
DM_Delmoth
Oswald not in the least bit inclined towards the the grossly physical art of underwater wrestling fails to even brush against Hyve.
Hyve swim: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Hyve continues to flee, managing to right himself and tread water towards one of the small islands dotting the lake.
PCs go, you all have line of sight at least to Hyve and the underground lake
Eudamonia Solanis
Bear and his passengers follow Galileo splashing down into the water. The small people continue to cling to his fur as he paddles.
swim (take 10): 10 + 5 = 15
Oswald Copperpot
Oswald Copperpot looks at the pathetic attempt to flee being perpetrated by Hyve.
The Gillman looks over at Valkarian as he makes the plan clear.
Shrugging his shoulders, the Investigator easily swism over to Hyve, sizing him up, and impaled him!
Melee +1 rapier, flat-footed, combat thingy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 321d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
CRIT? Melee +1 rapier, flat-footed, combat thingy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 281d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
DM_Delmoth
Oswald stabs the man in the heart polluting the already fungus choked waters with his blood. Hit and crit, I think I just need an action from Brother Laurence
Oswald Copperpot
Oswald Copperpot frowns at the disgustingly dirty waters.
I just knew that a Wand of Prestidigitation would be warranted!
Brother Laurence
Brother Laurence, seeing that others seem to have matters in hand, looks around to see if there is anything else here, or an alternative means to the chute of returning to the upper level.
DM_Delmoth
Cornered the man fights for his life but the nimble Gilman easily dodges his clumsy attack.
Rapier vs Oswald: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
He didn’t move so I don’t believe he needs to make a swim check, Just in case: 1d20 ⇒ 15
PCs go!
Oswald Copperpot
Oswald sighs.
I feel like that we may have gotten off on the wrong foot.
The Gillman shrugs.
Shame.
Melee +1 rapier, flat-footed, combat thingy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 131d6 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
He then Swims (doing a double breasted backstroke) to shore to watch him
DM_Delmoth
Oswald finds Hyve far too slippery this time around to land another devastating blow.
Brother Laurence
1 person marked this as a favorite.
Brother Laurence, seeing nothing of interest yet in the underground cavern, calls down a calamity on their quarry. From somewhere above, a heavy rock falls on Hyve.
Deadfall calamity, DC 16 Reflex save for half damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7 bludgeoning damage
DM_Delmoth
Reflex vs Calamity, evasion: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Keeper Hyve ducks under the water quickly as rocks fall and he refuses to die. No damage
I need actions from Galieleo and Euda and friends.
Galileo Figaro Magnifico
Swim: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Swim: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
When Gal sees rocks come tumbling down from the cavern ceiling above, he first flounders in the water, then catching his stride, moves toward the nearest land mass.
I'm assuming the darker areas on the map are rock columns and not islands, moving towards that little beach area on the left.
DM_Delmoth
I'm assuming the darker areas on the map are rock columns and not islands, moving towards that little beach area on the left.
Correct.
Heh, are all our enemies rogues? :D
You picked the rogue first, lol.
