Alfonse follows up Kaz’s bloody slash by trying to trick attack again.
trick attack (bluff): 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 4 = 15

Kaz's claw RIPS through the anacite's "neck" shorting it out and turning it to scrap! For the victory, the team earns 1,600 XP.

The vesk holds his claws up and gives a relatively quiet hissing victory cry. He turns to the others Quickly, lets find this ship.
Kaz begins to look around in the big room they are in. Its a hangar?
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Game Master S |
It looks more like a manufacturing facility than a hanger. There's a LOT of strange things in this place. Engineering and/or Mysticism can reveal more.
Kaz pokes around and finds some stuff worth good credits:
Aldo Cygnaurius |
”Well done, Everyone! Let’s move. There’s no time for resting yet.”
Aldo glances over the room too see what this room is used for.
Engineering: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Alfonse Vizzini |
Alfonse starts searching the room as well. ”Thought this was supposed to be the hanger!”
Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Chip the Android |
Chip also looks around, trying to find the ship they're supposed to take.
engineering: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Game Master S |
All this work appears to be completed, but this area was used to construct multiple large hybrid null-space devices. The computers are all protected. It'll take some skill to hack into them.
Angel. |
Angel cracks her tattoo'd knuckles and gets to work.
Computers: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 13 + 2 = 23
Game Master S |

Angel, with Chip's help, cracks through. There are two encrypted areas in the system. He manages to bypass one.
It's the technical readout for the Oliphaunt!
Alfonse Vizzini |
"Good job, Angel. Now we need to know where this ship is and hopefully its access codes."
Aldo Cygnaurius |
"Agreed. Those are some exceptional coding skills you possess. Also, check and if there is a way to get the oliphaunt out of this place intact. I don't want any surprises when we take her out of here."
Chip the Android |
Let me look at those encrypted files, Angel. And since you've seen them, maybe you can look on?
computers: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 <---pppffffffhhhhhahahaha!!
Game Master S |
Neither hacker shows much skill in the second attempt. The system is locked up tight.
Sorry, work was crushing for a bit there. I'm BACK (with one more time offline this coming weekend.) Where to now team?
Alfonse Vizzini |
"Maybe the ship is out this door. Can't see anywhere else it could be."
He takes a look at the door to see if it looks safe.
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Chip the Android |

Chip moves to the door, and tries to open it
pre-emptive engineering check vs door: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Say what you want about Chip...futhermucker KNOWS doors!! that's 2 consecutive 20's on checks v doors
Game Master S |
The door is most definitely locked, but Chip has ZERO problem getting through. Once the door is opened, everyone can see it's the hanger! The Oliphaunt is there for the taking!
Alf sees no one in the hanger at all.
Alfonse Vizzini |
"Let's not waste any time, we have a ship to steal!" says Alfonse, dry-washing his hands. He is visibly excited to get the chance to pilot this new ship, and he rushes towards the forward air lock.
Game Master S |
The party watches to see if anything liquidates or vaporizes the foolhardy ysoki, but nothing does. It's not even locked!
Alfonse Vizzini |
Alfonse waves at the team to join him, as he checks out the air lock.
Then, he pulls up the technical docs (that i assume we would have downloaded) to see if there were any internal defenses listed.
Angel. |
Angel takes a moment to upload Rhonda using her terminal uplink, and hacks the system.
She does NOT crack or knuckles or say it will be a piece of cake, knowing that hasn't worked well for her so far.
Computers: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26
Kazador Agudo Garrez |
Kaz gives a hiss of satisfaction as he boards the ship with his comrades. While they get it ready to fly, the vesk does a quick security sweep. He makes sure there are no stow-aways or any other surprises waiting for them.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Aldo Cygnaurius |
"We've passed security to get here, but don't let your guard down. If we want our freedom we need this ship."
Aldo approaches the ship and looks around the hanger for any resistance or trouble.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
When all seems safe, he will board the ship.
Chip the Android |

I think I'll lock this door behind us, just in case.
unless anyone objects, Chip will close & lock the door.
engineering: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13 <---HAW HAW HAW apparently he only knows how to open them
Alfonse Vizzini |
Assuming he sees no internal defenses, Alfonse runs up to the pilots seat, and starts his preflight
Game Master S |
Back! Sorry everyone. My schedule is nice and normal for a while.
Chip and Aldo are too excited to do a good job. Alf starts pre-flight for take off. All that's left is to plot a course. you can practically taste your freedom, but then reality hits. Stealing this ship is a job and this is not an employer you can just ignore...
To the rendezvous point, back in to loot, or something completely different?
Alfonse Vizzini |

Alfonse does not hesitate to plot in a course for the planned rendezvous. He’s had enough of double crossing powerful employers.
Game Master S |
Alf plugs in the coordinates and takes off. The ship is smooth after clunky and dilapidated cargo ships, this thing is the cat's meow.
Drift: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Looks like it'll take about 4 days to get to the asteroid hand off
After all the double crossing, it's hard for the team to let their guard down now. Still, this could be a very very handsome payday and a ticket to being on your own.
You have 4 days of Downtime if you'd like it. I'll advance once everyone either posts or passes on activities.

WAIT WAIT
while failing to close the door, Chip takes a quick perusal of the downed foes & the area, to see if there's anything of value to grab before we depart!
Angel. |
If there is nothing else to be found by hacking into the ship's computer, Angel will Lounge for the journey. If she hasn't made her way into all the files, she will take a crack at it (bonus for number of days spent on it.

"Well, my friends. I cannot say that I feel sorry for the Edge. They have been taking advantage of their employees for years. I think what we did is a good start to setting matters right. Mind you, we are not home free yet. Let's all keep on our guard."
Recognizing the stress of the situation, Aldor uses his downtime to Entertain the crew.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 + 1d6 ⇒ (14) + 12 + (4) = 30
"Did I tell you about the time that I was at the photocopier printing out these pictures of a dragon when all of a sudden my boss showed up at the copier. . ."
Kazador Agudo Garrez |
Kaz spends part of his downtime going over the weapon systems on the ship. He also searches the ship much more closely. Seeing if anything was left on board. Or if there is anything they can easily strip and take with them.
Perception take 10, 10 + 5 = 15 will take 20 if I can
Game Master S |
The party takes some time on the trip. Aldo entertains while the others go about their business.
You emerge from the Drift within sensor range of this asteroid, which has a small hangar that serves as a base for Golden League smugglers. The hangar quickly detects the Oliphaunt, and a woman named Deminda invites you to land.
The hangar is large enough for a Medium starship such as the Oliphaunt and is otherwise empty. A permeable force field retains atmosphere within the hangar, but physical objects such as a starship can enter and exit freely. A single door leads into the hangar's small habitation suite.
A single drow enforcer waits by the door. She tells you plainly, “I will escort you to Deminda.”
Game Master S |
"Sense of humor on that one! Look, Deminda is the Lord's emissary... just as good. Just.... don't piss her off."
He opens the door to the habitation suite. "Hang tight and make yourself at home." The room is spacious and laid out to host a celebratory banquet: a broad table is surrounded by chairs and laden with delicacies arrayed on fine plates while glasses of dark Apostae wine are positioned on the bar on the south wall of the room. Perception checks!
Game Master S |
You hear the door lock behind you as you're deposited in the banquet room.
Kazador Agudo Garrez |
** spoiler omitted **
Kaz casually leans in and whispers to the android. Im pretty sure they just locked the door behind us. If things go south be ready to work your door magic.
Game Master S |
No sooner does Kaz whisper then two drow enforcers enter the room and take up guard positions...

ref: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Chip is both surprised and puzzled at this turn of events. He's not sure if this is some sort of test, or if Sinjin is just planning to kill the group & take the ship.
in either case, he decides to act quickly. He pulls out one of the Nice Grenades he got from the rebels, and lobs it between the two drow, before turning his attention to the locked door. His drone them separates from his noggin, and fires off a shot at red.
