Frustrated Evanora attempts her curse...

Misfortune?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Barnel seems much more skilled than originally thought and is able to get through, though the spell and misfortune bought the team some much needed time to catch up!

Ref(Chalmers): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Ref(Shirin): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The Bathers seem to getting agitated as the two fumble about trying to get through. The Audacity! They are just trying to take a communal bath!
The Guards seem to be distracted by the advance of the other Pathfinders through the bath-house, giving the others left behind a chance to slip by.
With some strain, Kebrin finds themselves able to also break ahead, a fumble being turned into a success as they crash through the window. Disoriented but not detered, Kebrin gets up ready to push forward!
((Others who were stuck in the first "move" boxes automatically advance forward! Rolls were JUST shy enough that with everyone far enough ahead their successes have allowed you all to carry on!))
Desperate to get away, and now thinking they were clear of the other hurdles, Barnel attempts to break his way through the locks to leave the others behind to do the same!
Disable Dev(Barnel): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Misfortune(Barnel): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17
After what seems like an eternity, Barnel is only able to make a small amount of headway, doing his best to try and keep a lead on those close on his tail!
Thinking that they just had the lead, Aurax finds themselves in their natural environment and quickly able to keep up with Barnel!

Kebrin trotted up a moment later, casting his eyes back towards the way he had come, as if he saw something behind him that caught his eye. as he arrived he tipped his hat and said.
Evening. Pardon, but you realy must get a better lock on the back gate. I fear the one there now, will let any old riffraff in.

![]() |

The man nods nervously, "I-I-I work for some woman. I've never seen her face, but I think she works for the Graycloaks. I-I-I've been told to put out inquiries for potential clients, she says she has something big coming up next. She just tells me what she has and I sell the goods. I don't know exactly where she is, but I know the goods are usually kept on the north side of the Ascendant Court, some warehouse near Pitview Pub." he stutters.
He nods to those with holy symbols, "Please spare me, if I get arrested and she finds out I know I won't last the night. She comes from a place of god-haters, and I can assure you her hatred for the divine knows no bounds."

![]() |

My such charming people one runs into on these little outings... and they all know such interesting things. Shall we go and have ourselves a little looksee into warehouses and see if we can find some divine relics, or just useless junk?
Turning to Chalmers he smilled a bit and asked
do you think your lady is interested in hearing what this one has to say, or do we let him save his own hide, and maybe decide to work for more honorable, and above board clients in the future?

![]() |

“Let us release him. I think we have enough. Let’s go to the Graycloaks! Now!“ the half elf says.

![]() |

Chalmers considers the man very seriously after Kebrin's question, No I think he has much to do still in this life. He may make better decisions before he sits in my Lady's judgement. Let us away to this pub, I mean warehouses...

![]() |

at the mention of the pub he smiles and mutters I like this group, this is a good group, they understand priorities.
With that he once again gave a hat tip before leaving.
really, should see about that lock. At least something with more pins. Unless all it's there for is to deter honest folk from going where they shouldn't...in which case I imagine there is security, and I really should be going now....

After you discussion between each other, the fool of a man knows when he is well in over his head. He quickly nods, "Th-th-th-thank you!" he mutters and quickly continues on his way, slipping and stumbling as he leaves as the remnants of the grease spell continue to complicate the man's life.
Just then, a courier marked from the Pathfinder Society quickly runs up to the lot of you waving you down. "My fellows, the Grand Master himself has requested your presence at the Pleasure Salon of Calistria. He urges that it is of the utmost importance that he speak with you."
Knowing well as to not leave the Grandmaster Waiting, you take your leave and make haste the Pleasure Salon. Once you there you meat a burly half-orc guard who stands near the entrance to the bathhouse. Recognizing you all he brings you to the Grandmaster before returning to the door.
Grandmaster Torch reclines in one of the numerous small pools that make up the sauna, and steam fills the air. An attendant is rubbing a salve on Torch’s burn-ravaged face, but quickly gets up and leaves when Grandmaster Torch gives a silent gesture. “I have news from the Decemvirate and perhaps some assistance for you, but first I would like to hear what your progress is.”

![]() |

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 15

![]() |

Evanora smiles devilishly as she looks around the pleasure salon. "Well, the long and short of it is that we tracked down an individual selling these religious items. He said that he works for a mystery woman who he believes works for the Greycloaks. She delivers the goods to him, and he sells them. He says that the goods are kept on the north side of the Ascendant Court, some warehouse near Pitview Pub, and that something 'big' is about to happen."
Evanora gives a pause for that to digest, and then continues, "News and assistance. Call me intrigued..."
Snookums gives a short chirping vocalization as he butts his head against her calf.

![]() |

Raffle?: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Chalmers listens to Evanora's assessment of where they are in their investigations, but has little to add. We were on our way to investigate the warehouse, but wanted to check back in when your message reached our ears.

![]() |

Grandmaster Torch takes a deep breath, contemplating on what had transpired. "You've done well, but the warehouses in these parts are numerous and large in size. It could be anywhere. We need more information, which is where my opportunity plays in."
Cracking his neck he begins to explain, “Kreighton has discovered another relic, and he claims this could be the most important one yet. Supposedly, this keg was scavenged from the ashes of the original Cayden’s Hall and is the last keg Cayden Cailean drank from before he took the Test of the Starstone. After selling it to our relic dealer, the tavern keeper threw a huge celebration and bragged openly about how the Pathfinders were funding her retirement. By now, we can assume that we have piqued the interest of every would-be relic thief in Absalom."
Grandmaster Torch gives a heavy sigh, “While I am loathe to put you in harm’s way, this does present a unique opportunity. Should you accept responsibility for moving the keg from the pick-up location to the Grand Lodge, you will undoubtedly be the target of the relic thief we’re looking for. If you properly prepare yourselves, you might be able to reverse the ambush and catch the bandit before he makes off with the relic, or follow the thief afterward to find out where he’s been hiding. Either way, you’ll want to make sure not to kill the suspect, since whoever is behind this won’t be much use to you dead. Tracking down the culprit’s main site of operations is the most important thing right now—after that, you should search for as much incriminating evidence as possible."
Giving in to the warmth of the hotspring he sinks a tad, relaxing as best as one could expect with his face as scarred as it was and obviously causing him discomfort still, “It’s a huge gamble—which somehow seems appropriate when a relic of Cayden Cailean is on the line. This isn’t the sort of thing I would normally ask a Pathfinder to do, but we’ve already lost one courier and another was badly injured. I’d like this ordeal to finally be over with, and with your help, we can make that happen.”
Waving towards the guard nearby, the guard immediately walks up to the party and brandishes a scroll for them. "Also, just in case they misplace something important, this may be of some use to you all."
((The scroll that is handed to you is that of a scroll of locate object with a small note rolled up within the scroll that details the time and location of Cayden's Last Keg.))

![]() |

Oh. I thought we were done with this mess and about to get a juicy reward. Hmph. Always wanting more.
"Get the keg, spring an ambush, and capture the culprit alive. Simple as can be. I'm rather done with chasing.

![]() |

Shirin nods.
“Yeah, we’ll do it. Let’s go!!“

![]() |

Cayden’s Last Keg is 3 feet in diameter and 4 feet tall, and weighs 75 pounds. The relic merchant has thoughtfully provided a small wagon pulled by a donkey to transport it. The keg has old char marks on it as if it had been in a fire, and it still sloshes with the remnants of hops and ale. The innkeeper kept it in active service (as Cayden would prefer), and it has been refilled innumerable times since it was first put into use. Should the players wish to sample some of the ale, the relic merchant happily provides them with a mug of the brew.
Moving the Keg is a slow process, but mostly uneventful. A wagon loaded with over a dozen chicken cages has toppled onto its side ahead, and a farmer and a local vendor are arguing loudly over whose fault it was rather than clearing the alley.
Per(Chalmers): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Per(Evanora): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Per(Kebrin): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Per(Shirin): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Per(> Aurax): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
You all don't seem to see any reason for foul play, but you realize that you are now stuck in a bottle neck between those arguing and the swarm of chickens before you.

![]() |

Evanora certainly sampled the 'divine' ale. She did not, however, finish the drink.
"No. No, no, no. This is too obvious of an abush. Keep your hands on the keg, boys. I'll see about sorting through this."
Evanora will cast "Sow Thoughts" on the farmer Will DC 17 convincing him that he is at fault for letting his chickens spill out and that he should get them back in order and moving quickly.

![]() |

while his companions seemed to be well inclined towards to observation, Kebrin pulled in on himself, and let his mind be consumed by thoughts of a god drinking out of the keg, and getting so liquored up that he managed the Starstone test.

![]() |

Shirin just yawns after having drunk the ale.
"Ahh, this is so unnerving!" she says and shrugs.

![]() |

Farmer Will: 1d20 ⇒ 2 - Failed!
Evanora's spell quickly takes its hold upon the farmer. Shaking his head he looks upon the other in a look of conflicted remorse. "Heh... now that you mention it..."
Just as Evanora finished her spell and its effects begin taking hold, a wave of magical energy could be felt washing over her allies from behind her. Her last few movements allowing her to step outside of the spell's grasp.
