The result of all of that is one very dead winter wolf.

On the other side of the ice barrier is a frozen foyer. Intricate gilded stonework adorns the entrance, and a complex marble mosaic paves the floor. Arrow slits flank the north and south sides of the hall, but the north side has collapsed and is choked with rubble. On the eastern end, two 10-foot-tall marble statues of armored dwarves flank a fresco depicting an opulent throne room. The faces of the statues have been broken off.

Ice covers the floor. Characters must spend 2 squares of movement to enter a square covered by ice, and the DC for Acrobatics checks on surfaces covered by ice increases by 5.

@GM: Would Kaseem's Travel domain power 'Agile Feet' reduce his movement penalty on ice? Here's the text: "Agile Feet (Su): As a free action, you can gain increased mobility for 1 round. For the next round, you ignore all difficult terrain and do not take any penalties for moving through it. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier."

It's dark in there, yes, and no, no trap. Kaseem is able to treat the ice floor as normal terrain.

As you explore the foyer, please make perception checks. It's obvious that most of this complex was sheared off as it was transported into the Hao Jin Tapestry.

Well ... pre Baba Yaga, Irrisen was ... most likely the same sort of temperatures as it's neighbouring lands. Uliyara replied. When Baba Yaga arrived and laid claim to what is known now as Irrisen and put her first daughter on the throne part of what she did was to lower the ambient temperature of the region.

She moves to the edge of the area where the rest of the complex had been transported into the tapestry.

So smooth and precise. It is as if the contents of this entire bowl was scooped up and carried away. Do any of you know what happened here?

She then looks around. Oooh look .... Doors She is clearly excited about finding out what lies beyond.

@GM: How much do the PCs know about the Hao Jin Tapestry and what happened to this place?

At least that's how it seems to work in Osirion and the ancient ruins and tombs. Let us be the ones to get attacked; I'd hate to explain to your mother we let you come to harm!"

Seeing how far ahead Haltani has gone into the ruins, Kaseem hurries to catch up and gestures for the others to follow.

I would assume most PCs have basic knowledge of Hao Jin and the Tapestry, since the Society has it on display. Of course, if your characters have personal experience with it - all the better

Where Uliyara was looking ...
Thousands of icicles cover the ceiling of this cylindrical chamber. The outside edge forms a perfect circular curve, cutting into stone without mark of chisel or tool, impossibly smooth. Only places where ice flows over the stone, or where the structures have collapsed, mar the perfect precision ofv the cylinder. The remains of workshops and living spaces, still furnished, peak through holes in the cylindrical void. At the southern and western edges of the cavern, large portions of the stone and ice have collapsed, cutting into the immense void with piles of rubble.

None of the doors are trapped but they may be frozen shut. No magic is detected

Nilah knows very little about the Tapestry. In her time with the Society she has helped solve a murder, prevent murders, and knows a good amount about Sky Keys. She does not, however, know about the transport of any part of this complex into the Tapestry.

I wish I knew more. Can one still travel to... err, inside of it?

She smirks knowingly at Kaseem's warning. Qadira had tombs similar to what he described in Osirion, with long-"dead" things lurking and irritably guarding their own rest.

She keeps her scimitar drawn and ready as she follows closely behind Kaseem and Uliyara.

No wait, don't touch...

But it's too late, and the thing breaks free.

Fortitude, DC15, Cold damage (half): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 221d6 ⇒ 4

I don't suppose it has a sky key on it...

She draws her scimitar and swipes at it.

Ulyara takes a five foot step back and starts to Inspire Courage as the undead goes for her, most likely provoking several AOOs on the way.

@phaeton_nz: Could you indicate the movement of the undead on the map? I'm not quite sure where it started. Will roll an AoO nonetheless

When the undead dwarf moves towards Ulyara and passes Baldrum, the monk strikes with his fist.

AoO Unarmed Strike + IC: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 = 16 (+2 if flanking with Kaseem)

"Надо было нарисовать мой Сансэцукон перед тем, как открыть дверь..."

Dwarven:
"Should have drawn my Sansetsukon before opening the door..."

Baldrum takes a closer look at the undead to check what kind of creature it is before he strikes it again with a flurry of blows.

Knowledge: Religion t: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Well, I tried...

Fortitude Save DC 15: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 (+2 if it's a spell-like ability)

@GM: Thanks!

@Cith: So it's a good thing that Baldrum does have Combat Reflexes... ;-)
