Aurika translates the goblin song for the others. "Not the sort of lyrics that I like to hear."
She draws her dagger, then whispers a simple spell that causes the blade to glow with a cool white light. "Ready."

With a nod to his teammates, Doven cautiously enters the room, his now glowing shield raised. "Hey dudes" he calls ahead. "We don't mean you any harm, alright? We're just looking for someone. If you're cool, we're cool, cool?"

No magic present other than what you bring. Also scooted people up.
Heading in you spot a goblin with a pair of torches trying to get a campfire going in front of an alcove.
Goblin is currently providing light around in as normal per a torch, campfire is currently just dim light at 5ft.
Shrieking as you enter the goblin mutters something about longshanks and decides to burn you too.
While it's hard to see from this angle there might be an iruxi in that alcove behind the fire, although it'll take awhile before its in any danger from smoke or campfire fire.

Behind the smoldering fire is a lightly smoked and unconcious but still alive Iruxi.
Kazuuk also returns shortly and surveys the situation
"Well done Pathfinders, take this lesser darkvision elixir."
After healing up, including the captured Iruxi you're able to make the trek back to the enclave.
There Chief Thakik once again sits atop her bone throne, but now the hint of a smile tugs at the corners of her mouth. “Kazuuk tells us you were quite impressive! This is good to hear. I wish to learn more of what you found, and I’m certain the Tskikha and the Pathfinder Society have a bright future ahead!”
After a small feast and evening of celebration you're able to report back to Fola Barun who congratulates you on a job well done and encourages you to meet with Calisro, Gorm or Eando next.
Next quest is next day, feel free to assume you're fully healed by then and let me know who you want to see next.

Scerzaq cringes a bit. Though he is healed it takes some time for his burnt fur to grow back. The melted fur clings together and tugs at his skin below. "Goblins eat longshanks? But why? Are they that hungry." The small Ysoki makes gagging noises even thinking of it. "I lost my appetite. Let's go see this Calisro."

One Cinematic Dissolve Later...
A striking figure leans casually against one of the ancient columns that juts from the surrounding swamp. She is a halforc dressed like a fashionable sea captain, complete with tricorn hat.
“Isn’t it exciting?” she asks, her rough voice deep and full of command. “Fresh out on your first missions and already exploring Azlanti ruins? I once thought the high seas were the only place for true adventure, but the Pathfinders have shown me otherwise!”
She pauses and deeply inhales the air. “I’m Calisro Benarry, leader of the Horizon Hunters. Now, let’s hear about you!”

![]() |

YOU ARE … A CORSAIR … YES ? Faldur knows sailors like stars. Maybe some trivial knowledge of astronomy would impress.
His single eye rolls upward. TEHRE… He points. A HUNDRED YEARS AGO ROSE THE SEA WRAITH CONSTELLATION . NOW HER LEFT EYE WOULD BE … 39.2746° N, 120.1211° W . He moves his finger a fraction of an inch.

Perplexed at why Faldur is rattling off numbers, Aurika forces ahead with introductions. "Well Calisro, where should we begin? My name is Aurika. I grew up in the Puddles district of Absalom, but was one of the lucky ones who escaped and became a Pathfinder. I've learned from Janira and Master Shaine that I've a mind for magic, so that's how I help out."
She gestures to the others. "And I can tell you that my story is definitely the least interesting one you'll hear."

![]() |

"My people are not known for seafaring or seeking the horizon but I have proven to be the exception, at first by necessity and now by choice. I earned the name Long-Strides-Over-Water through my travels and have only respect for those who spend their lives roaming this world by land or by sea. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Karianamu."

![]() |

Scerzaq waves. "Name's Scerzaq. Hell of a story, though not one anyone believes. I am from out there." He points towards the stars overhead. "Somehow came here and just trying to survive long enough to try and get home."

![]() |

"Eh, not much to tell. I'm Doven. I used to cut trees for the lumber company. Then I used to guard the other people cutting trees. Then I got tired of working for the man, man, especially since that consortium is kinda terrible. Didn't really jive with what the Hero tells us to do, y'know? Anyway, I spent some quality time hangin' out by the beach, until I had some cash flow issues, y'know? Now I'm a Pathfinder." With that, he pulls out his his own flask and raises it in salute before taking a swig.

![]() |

"I'm Aella. I used to live in the woods, but then some people chased me out because they thought I was a witch. I met Doven here and he said I should join the Pathfinders."

Pirate GM |

Calisro nods and responds
“Excellent! We Horizon Hunters get most excited by exploration. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of knowing you’re somewhere no one else has been in a thousand years! Or even better, finding a place no one has ever seen before. Admittedly, we sometimes get a little overeager to be the first, but that’s all part of the true joy of discovery."
“Since you are a bit new to the Pathfinder Society, I want to give you your first taste of that same thrill. Through that tunnel,” she says, nodding toward a dark hole leading into the hillside, “is an Azlanti ruin where no Pathfinder has ever explored. I have to admit, I’m more than a little jealous!"
“Your job is to explore the area and report your findings to me. Questions?”
