I think the more logical due to the situation on the map when I shot was to hit the cyan one with a cold iron bullet.
I also think the yellow one is at -26. Because of -20 for crit and then -6 for the second hit.

Fluffy does a full attack against the yellow lurker.

Rogarch

@Beshmet - Miss chance is per attack. You should not be rolling once for all of your attacks! :)
Rogarch
|
Rogarch continues to rage. She moves in trying to finish off the stunned lurker (yellow) with her cold iron hammer.
attack,Guidance,Rage,Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 1 + 2 - 1 = 16

Only if Fluffy is doing Cold Iron attacks, otherwise damage reduction applies
Between all those attacks, Yellow is bitten, squished, shot etc. When the dust clears, yellow is no more.

Devaan has no target since Cyan is invisible so he delays.
Cyan comes out of invisibilty, flies towards the nearest Pathfinder, Allanaen, and tries to hit him with a dagger. As Cyan approaches Devaan fires the Ray of Frost but misses.

Devaan casts glitterdust into the area where the lurker is... lurking. DC 18 vs. blindness.

--- Combat Over ---
You find that Cybelle is unconscious but stable.
Allanen
|
Al will check Cybelle out before trying his healing hex on her.
Is anyone else wounded? he asks.
Heal Check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
Healing Hex on Cybelle: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (7, 3) + 5 = 15
Allanen
|
{ooc]I believe Al is wounded as well[/ooc]
Cure Mod on himself: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (5, 6) + 5 = 16
phaeton_nz
|
That healing is enough to bring Cybelle to consciousness. In gratitude she gives you two small pouches of glittering dust that she found in the woods—each pouch is a use of dust of emulation.
You also discover that several old corpses are rotting away in this clearing. Although their mundane gear has long since fallen apart and their features are unrecognizable, their magic items remain. Among the bodies is a potion of fly, a ring of protection +1, a scroll that contains animal messenger, lesser restoration, and resist energy, and a wand of cure moderate wounds (CL 5th, 5 charges).
Allanen
|
Hmm. That dust is strange stuff. Lets you successfully emulate a class or race with UMD. That would let you use, say an elf only item or maybe a paladin weapon but I am not sure what else. pretty specific.
I can used the scrolls and wand but don't specifically need them if someone else does.
Rogarch
|
Rogarch falls out of rage, puts her large hammer away. She then retrieves her wand of shield and places it back into her spring-loaded wrist sheath.
Rogarch expresses an interest for the ring of protection and the potion of Fly. With the combat over she turns to Beshmet to see if her vision has returned.
If anyone wants something then just ask for it. Allanen is probably the best person to hold on to the scrolls and wand.
@phaeton_nz - All right we killed the two lurkers and converted the wolf pack over to our side (I think). What exactly is going on with that?
phaeton_nz
|
The wolf pack has left with a new leader and the old zombie one has been exiled. Should be an S.E.P. now (somebody else's problem)
As for Beshmet, does anyone have Remove Blindness/Deafness or Dispel Magic?
Rogarch
|
@phaeton_nz - Allanen does have spell access to Dispel Magic so at least there will be no cost to remove the affliction after the adventure is over. However I think that Beshmet might be out of luck until the Shaman prepares his spells again. :)
Waze
|
The wizard is also wondering a bit on what to do next.
Devaan Zeleye
|
Devaan has nothing that will help with blindness.
"If everyone is in as good a condition as they can be, we should head to the Glade of Silver Sparks. This blessing is only supposed to last until sunrise."
Allanen
|
Rogarch is correct. Al will have to rest before being able to attempt to dispel the blindness.
Rogarch
|
Rogarch lends a comforting hand on Beshmet's shoulder.
"Just hang back, Fluffy can do the heavy lifting in the next combat. After this is over we will get rid of that nasty enchantment."
"Say what do we know about Will-o-the-Wisps in general?"
phaeton_nz
|
Fortunately Cybelle is able to lift the Blindness on Beshmet.
You carry on. A layer of dense fog covers the landscape like a pale shroud. Distant howls of anguish and the discordant sound of bells rattling in the wind inexplicably echo in the distance. Ambiguous shapes begin to form but then dissipate back into the mists as quickly as they appeared. With each step, the loamy odor of wet earth and oakmoss wafts up, mingling with the sharp scent of ozone and a faint aroma of flowers. A damp chill hangs in the air. Visibility is reduced to five feet.
From the misty void, a raspy, disembodied voice cuts through the din. Beautiful, it whispers slowly. Delicious. All these lovely fears you’ve brought for me. Let me see them. Let me peer deep into your soul and free them from their cage, where you’ve tried to lock them up so tightly.
The sentient mist addresses each of you in turn, asking personal and invasive questions about their character’s fears.
What is it you fear—your real fear? The one you harbor at your very core?

I think the answers are the ones we gave at the beginning of the game?
Rogarch

Sure, it is not likely we are going to tell the evil mist our deepest fears willingly. :)

Al reaches out and casts Barkskin on Rogarch while trying not to concentrate on anything he fears. +2 Natural Armor - likely will not help against a wisp but if it has allies it sure will.

As much as Devaan is enjoying this stalemate, he figures it is time to talk.
"I can tell you what we are not afraid of... you."
phaeton_nz
|
How does it feel to see your fear standing before you? Do you tremble and quake? Does your heart feel that it might give way?
As the disembodied voice keeps asking questions, your fears manifest more clearly and solidly in the mist with every question, and it eventually begins to interact with you.
