After a while of walking, you see a bridge made of bamboo and stone. The bridge is an archway. With a keystone. It's also colored red and green. There is a depiction of a dragon on the bridge. It looks safe to cross.

"I'm a Kuni Shugenja," he explains. He doesn't have the makeup on associated with Kuni shugenja. "Both the Crab clan and the Scorpion clan lay claim to this river. Nearly, bushi had been called upon. That was when the Crab clan asked for Emerald magistrates to mediate. And it's a good thing you two are here."

The Shugenja nods. "Do you have horses to ride, he's a day's ride away."
"We do, but they are back at the inn we came from. I was hoping that he might be closer to the river. It will take us a short time to get our horses and return to this side of the river." Dai says.
"Good, I'll be waiting near here to show you the way," the Shugenja replied.
Niko nods and says, "It might be a good idea to touch base with them as well to see what they want too."
She then goes back and fetches her horse and crosses the bridge to meet this other Lord.

Dai travels with the Matsu to gather his horse and then returns to the Shugenja.
"I hope you have supplies for a day's journey," says the Shugenja. He gets his horse and mounts it. "Follow me."
Matsu Niko says, "Of course we do."
Dai will follow along behind the shugenja. He looks over the lands as they go to see how well they appear to be tended.
You see hills that have been terraced, as you ride to Crab lands. The forest path is well maintained. It's almost like a road. You continue to ride as you near a pass between two terraced hills. Both are green, and have rice growing upon them.
Matsu Niko looks both ways to get a bearing of her surroundings.
The pass was winding, though your horses could take it. "We'll rest here for the night, tomorrow we will be in Crab lands," the Shugenja said.
Dai nods and will look for a place to dismount and tend to his horse and camp.

Matsu Niko decapitates both of them and burns their bodies.
She then says, "We should relocate our camp a bit further away, where there is a group of goblins there is sure to be some more."
