Apollyanna finds an antique frost giant's earthbreaker in the Gallery of Huge Hitty Things and takes it to the pyramid for several minutes.

"WHAT? IT'S A MUSEUM. THEY HAVE HUNDREDS OF PRICELESS ART OBJECTS." she calls down to them, slamming the pyramid with fourth or fifth one that looked sturdy enough to do damage.

"OH! I KNOW! THERE WAS THIS MARBLE STATUE NEXT DOOR OF A WOMAN MISSING THE ARMS. I'LL USE THAT. IT'S ALREADY BROKEN."

Fortunately, as Apollyanna bashes the last incredibly expensive gem into oblivion, the pyramid disappears and the lights slam back in full force.

It is quite bright.

All evidence of a shadow museum coexisting in this space seems to have disappeared too. The slaves are even still standing outside happily waiting for more orders.

Seeing the museum return to normal Apollyanna drops the last ancient Tian vase she was preparing to hurl at the now gone pyramid.

Eveline looks at the mayhem Apollyanna caused with her seemingly barbaric antics. But she doesn't look disapproving. This was, after all, the Blakros Museum. Hamaria Blakros's attitude towards them, the whole scheme to help out a rich family because they screwed up big time themselves... all this comes to the fact that the noble family deserves to have their precious museum ransacked.

They can blame it on the Onyx Alliance, regardless.

"Do you want to stay that way?" Eveline asks Apollyanna with a glint in her eye, "you'd be the mightiest paladin of Shelyn the world has ever known. Some wizards, I'm sure of it, would be thrilled to have the spell placed on you, permanently."

Hmmm... something about Shelyn rings a bell... protect all works of art or something? Eh, whatever. I can't think of what it might be. ;)

Two words: Performance Art. ;)

Besides, who goes to this museum and not expect to have to destroy cursed artifacts, slay animated dinosaur fossils, or cut up evil undead mummies?

Its honestly more and more weird to me that they have dinosaur fossils when there are dinosaurs just like walking around in the Mwangi and other places.

The two daughters finally break out of their trance as the connection between the two planes is severed. They seem confused.

The slaves just stand outside the museum. Confused as to what they should be doing and who their master is now.

Upon return to the lodge the pathfinders find a grateful Hamaria Blackros, thrilled to see her daughters safe and sound. She waves off any concerns about broken or 'lost' items from the museum, "Oh don't worry dears, we have insurance. But at least now I won't have to collect life insurance on these two!"

One of the daughters rolls her eyes, "Jeeze mom, too soon. But uh, thanks for getting us out of that situation."

______________

Agreed Wrigsolar, it's almost as though the writer had no clue what setting they were in and were like... 'what is in museums? Oh yeah, dino fossils. What if they attacked?!?'

Eveline sighs heavily to Hamaria Blakros' behaviour. She's more than happy to leave the vicinity of the lady as soon as halflingly possible.

The halfling paladin heads to the fletcher to replace all those numerous arrows she shot. Those stray arrows surely make a better museum exhibit than the other seemingly random items held within.

"Speaking of people in harsh situations, my ladies--the former slaves. If you could get someone to give them what they are owed this week tonight that would be great! Feel free to throw in whatever you like on top for the holidays."

Then, as Eveline goes to collect her arrows, Apollyanna puts on a very formal voice in the style of Blakroses, and says: "Your arrows, ma'am." and delivers up a handful of previously loosed missiles.

Am I correct that you are then returning the rest of the slaves to the Blackros family?

When Ahmande exits the museum, he's surprised to see the former Blakros slaves still milling about in front. "What are you doing here? You have your freedom. Go!!!" He yells, waving his arms in a motion as if to shoo off unruly begging pigeons.

Thanks for the reminder, and, ahhh, no! Not returning any slaves to the Blakros family except the two daughters that we were hired to return.

Oh hell no! If it'd be possible we'd free the twins as well from the looney mother's schemes!

I may have misread what Apollyanna stated too. I think she was just hoping the slaves (that don't get paid anything because they are slaves) deserved some sort of pay. But that aside, I think most of you are at least on board with freeing the slaves.

They run off when shoo'd.

They don't really know what else to do and probably end up dead in the gutter within a week's time.

Or not. Probably not. I bet they have a great life!

:P

I was waiting for someone to say that in character so that I could have Apollyanna say "Wait! You don't pay your slaves!? That's worse than Amazon the East Sellen Trading Company!"
