Moved people near the doors in no particular order.
Heading to the double doors to the south there don't seem to be any traps. Opening them reveals a room where a massive table and eight chairs fills the center.
Empty shelves line the walls, and soggy carpets cover much of the floor.
The unmistakable plopping sound of ooze quickly fills your ears though.
Interi: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 1 = 26

Dash Ooze: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Dot Ooze: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
You see a pair of stinky greenish brown oozes, much like the one you encountered in the previous room, although probably not quite as big, just as stinky though.

Snaps, Interi, Renato, Ithuriel and Rogvar are up!
Interi

"The void draws near once more." Interi strides into the room, positioning themself to provide an opportunity for an ally, then strikes at the ooze in front of them.

Action 1: Inspire Courage
Action 2: Stride
Action 3: Strike
Rogvar breaks out into song as he confidently strides into the melee.
"This will never end 'cause I want more
More, give me more
Give me more"
Though it's not a battle song, each word from the Ulfen man inspires those around him to greatness and fortifies their courage.
Inspire Courage. +1 to hit/damage
He positions himself opposite Interi and swings his blade!
Longsword vs Dot (Flat-footed): 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 1 = 21
Damage (S): 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5
Renato Bashwick
|
Renato looks at Interi. "You're weird. And kind of depressing. You need to lighten up! "
She then charges into the room and tries to bash the ooze.
hook hammer: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
In case it's not dead, she swings again.
hook hammer: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Ithuriel Falsus Sacerdos
|
Ithuriel steps in between the doorways. As he does so he raises his staff up in both hands, just a few inches off of the ground. "Those who follow the Steps will be rewarded. Those who turn from His path shall have neither." He drops the staff back down onto the ground. As it hits small crackles of lightning rawl across the floor shocking the oozes.

Snaps argues with seemingly no one as she moves in. Yes gramma Zuzu it's boring, but it works!

The room fills with electricity and the wounded shakes with electricity before splatting. The other ooze is remarkably unaffected by some of the lightning.
The remaining ooze plops towards Renato and goes bloop.

"The void calls for this one as well." Interi strides next to the remaining ooze, leaving the flanking position for Rogvar as they swing their warhammer twice.

Rixette moves over and tumbles through its square!
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

She lashes out at the ooze with extra style.

She then guidances Renato because she agrees this ooze is weird.

Rogvar continues to sing, his voice deep and loud as he repeats the lyrics a second time.

Splat goes the ooze.
Out of Combat
Searching further eventually leads you to the western courtyard where overgrown trees and bushes stand in a roofless, muddy courtyard. Mud and slime cake the walls and drip from the eaves onto the soaked ground.
There you meet the Ooze Mephit Nazraz. See slides for picture.
He wallows in a mud pile and stammers as you approach "I... I'm Nazraz, Prime Assistant to the Egregiously Generous Zarzan. I uhh, plan A to deal with the oozes didn't work, so I'm on... onto plan B. It will succeed... eventually. I can't return to my glorious master until then though. I've figured out how, how to starve the oozes out. I've made it so no birds and such will land. It might take years, or uhh err even decades, but I can do it, because I'm tough enough, and strong enough and doggone it, I'm patient enough."

"Wait... you've dealt with the Oozes. Well thank you for your help. I can take it from here, now thank you and trouble my master no more. Have to make sure the job is done thoroughly, so unless you want to wait with me another year to be sure no more oozes show up. Anyway, my plan was flawless with the tools at hand.... Hmm, I suppose I can go report this success with your assistance. So thank you once again, I'll go report to master Zarzan."
With that the Mephit flies off...
The house is otherwise empty and reporting eventualkly back to Zarzan you arrive at about the same time as the Mephit who is grovelling. "Oh thank you master for entrusting me with this grand task and for sending me further assistance. Surely I could have accomplished the task in time but your infinite wisdom in providing further assistance truely moved the timeline forward to a much more satisfactory conclusion."
Zarzan rolls his eyes at the Mephit "Yes, well done little one, let us find you a better task now that the house is free from slimes..."
He thanks you as well, and makes sure you get paid as well.
The End.
