I am looking for 4 mighty heroes to explore the ruins of Bonekeep. This 3 scenario adventure was originally the 2018 PACG Open, and it will be more difficult than your average adventure. Each hero will pick one of these 4 character options:
Each character gains 3 skill feats, 3 power feats, and 3 card feats and will build their deck using only cards with adventure deck numbers of 3 or lower.
The adventure has a scoring system, and each scenario will reward you with points based on how you did. After we are finished, I will create a "2018 Open - High Scores" thread in the PACG forums (if it hasn't already been created) and hopefully over time more games will be posted there.
If there is enough interest, I may consider running multiple tables.
For these tables, I plan to use Google Hangouts/Chat for player communication.

If there is more player interest than seats, I will randomly choose players, and then those players can discuss who will play which character.
I'll leave this recruitment thread open for a few days, and then we'll have a few days to discuss character builds, with a (flexible) target start date of June 14.

You listed 5 character options. Does that mean we are leaving 1 off or will it be a 5 player table?
Will this be timed similar to the irl version?
If it isn't timed I would like to play.
Edit: And if there are multiple versions of a character can we pick the version we use?
Edit 2.0: If we have to own what we play I'm limited to Lini. I don't own most of the old class decks.

Thought on Lini vs Kyra.
Non spell Combat
Lini: Reveals an animal ally to use Survival + 1d6. Then must recharge the animal on success or bury it on failure. This isn't a melee check so isn't aided by say Blessing of the Samurai. But 1d10 +6 +1d6 averages to 15. Not bad for a caster. Fire Gecko can be revealed for an extra 1d4.
Kyra: Wants to use swords so Flaming Scimitar +1 or Longsword. She may want to use Icy Hooked Hammer +1 over the Longsword since it is magic. Valeros might also loan her a sword. 1d10 +4 +1d8 +1 averages to 15. She gets an extra 1d8 vs undead and it's called Bonekeep so Kyra probably wins out on this one by a bit.
Spell Combat
Lini: Cauterize is versatile and does decent damage. Divine Blaze at 3 is fantastic. Ice Strike is decent. She is probably better off using her animal reveal power with Bloodscent or Wintervine for an extra d10.
Kyra: Holy Light, Volcanic Storm, and Holy Javelin. Marionette if pressed for a 4th option. I think Kyra wins out here as well.
Healing
Lini: Cure and Angelstep. Probably Cauterize.
Kyra: Built in cure effect but also Major Cure, Restorative Touch, and up to 3 Cures. The cleric is a better healer obv.
Non Combat checks.
Lini: Lini has bad physical skills but unlike other versions the class deck Lini has no way to negate this beyond possibly including Pearl of Wisdom. She has decent int with Knowledge and decent charisma. D10 Wisdom with decent Divine and better Survival. With Bloodscent and Wintervine she can be very good with the skills she has but is otherwise lacking.
Kyra: Good Strength with Melee and good Wisdom with Divine and oddly some Survival. The rest of her skills are bad. But she has access to Fire Snake and Binder's Tome. Possibly Create Mindscape. I think this is closer.
Local support.
Lini: Renewal is a fantastic spell if the party is traveling together.
Ultimate Wilderness has tons of local support items but Lini starts with 1 item. Her animals usually only help her.
Kyra: Kyra also only gets 1 item but she has access to Binder's Tome, Fly, Coordinated Blast, and Create Mindscape. Also the built in Cure.
Non local support.
Lini: Blessing of the Green Faith is fantastic. Not much else of note at this tier.
Kyra: Find Traps. Blessing of the Spellbound isn't quite as good. Lini probably wins this one.
There is one big advantage Lini has over Kyra however. A hand size of 7 vs 5 and both Mastiff and Renewal for card draw.
Kyra gets a maximum of 5 spells and will struggle to cut good options. Lini gets a maximum of 6 spells but might be fine with less.
Both good options but I do think Kyra wins out. I could see an argument for both, cutting Merisiel, and sticking together as a group.

Sorry, typo in my initial post. There are 5 characters, of which the party will choose 4. We will be using the class deck versions of the characters, and only cards from the listed character/ultimate decks will be allowed (no promo cards, or Core swap ins).
There is no time limit.
Thanks!
