He steps over to the next vesk with solar weapon at hand, he will ready for a flank if possible.

A solar weapon slams into the vesk's stomach, knocking the wind out of her.

George 09-23 moves back out to help his teammates. He casts a simple spell to disorient the vesk warrior.

For a moment, it looks like George's spell will work--but the vesk shakes her head to clear it, and continues swinging her fists wildly!

That was a smart idea George, but she made the save exactly.

The vesk is doing unarmed cleave again, starting with Kaath and then trying Scruffy.

TK423 pops out and takes a shot at Vesk

After an ordeal that has seen one of their number fallen, the Starfinders make a final stand! Scruffy shoots a stream of acid that melts part of the vesk's armor, Kaath exploits the weakness to land a powerful blow, and TK423 finishes the job with a pinpoint shot! The would-be assassin collapses.

And then, in the utter silence, DING! The elevator has finally arrived!

Well done! We are off Initiative.

George 09-23 looks at the poor damaged robot.

"I hope that you are able to fix up Robert-O. He was quite a help back there."

George looks down to the damage done to his side by the doshko and all his training in Medicine and Life Sciences does not help to explain how he is still alive. Perhaps there are other forces at work here that he has to consider in the days ahead.

I think that I am going to multi-class him with a level of Mystic (Healer) and this is a good reason why. :)


After searching the assassins' bodies, the Starfinders make their way into the elevator, having secured the datastick and rescued two civilians (Director Ebaki and Bordle) in the process. But the mission was a costly one, with one of their own falling in the process. Once the elevator opens up in the lobby of Bluerise Tower, Director Ebaki handles all of the arrangements to have a full security team sent to the floor, for Bordle to be taken to the hospital for radiation treatment and for Twila-4's remains to be sent to her next of kin. Both Bordle and Ebaki offer you their sincere thanks for saving their lives.

Once you make your way back to the Lorespire Complex, Venture-Captain Arvin ushers you into his office. "You look like you've been through a war!" he says. "What happened?"

George 09-23 comes to the obvious conclusion.

"Clearly someone was aware of our mission and attempted to retrieve the data stick. Considering that the defences of the building were turned against us it appears to be an inside job."

Pure speculation but it seems to fit with the facts. :)

Kaath will rest 10mins again then join the others

Moments later, Celia, leader of the Dataphiles faction, enters the office. She takes the datastick from Arvin and says "If there's any blame for what happened in Bluerise Tower, it's mine. I'm the one who assigned Venture-Captain Arvin to assign a team for this mission without giving him the full story. I've been working with a hacker named Ceren for several months now, and that led to forming a connection with Director Ebaki. He contacted me in the hopes of leaking information to the public that points to members of AbadarCorp being privy to a price-fixing scheme on medicinal goods! The info isn’t enough to dam the corporation, but it’s enough to start a solid case. Still, the price was high--and for that, I'm truly sorry. Thank you, Starfinders, for your bravery and willingness to uncover the truth."

As you leave Arvin's office, you happen to catch the latter half of a televised interview on one of the Lorespire’s many monitors. The interview consists of a kasatha in AbadarCorp attire providing an update on the recent events that took place in the Bluerise Tower office. The public relations official expresses his gratitude to the Society and thanks each of you by name! He goes on to state that AbadarCorp is going to appoint a new director to handle security in its Pact Worlds offices. Soon after this announcement, the new director takes the stage: a ysoki named Datch. Waving to a flash of cameras, she proclaims "I sure have a lot of messes to clean up, but I really hope to make good long-lasting business relationships and friendships with other organizations along the way.”

Kaath listens to the conclusion but the loss of one and almost two friends hit pretty close to home.
