The Waking Rune

Although you were hustled out of your bunks and rushed over to the lift, you'll have enough time to put up your hour/level spells; not knowing how quickly you'd begin your descent or how long the descent might take means that shorter duration spells would not be up.

Rolled a little too much damage for those morlocks - though they have clubs, they are specifically trying to bite and eat you! Should be d4 not d6, so +3hp for Aeliah.

The Waking Rune

Daedîn fills the last morlock full of arrows and it drops off the cage. I should point out that any arrows that miss are going to be lost, falling far away amongst the ruins below. So far only one arrow has missed (you didn't need the iterative attack above) :)

There's a moment of relative calm; for hearbeat the only sound is the creaking of the cables. And then there are inhuman screams from the cavern walls as a second wave of morlocks launch themselves at you!

Daedîn puts the morlock out of its misery. No misses.

Nina takes a tumble, but recovers and holds her weapon at the ready.

Inky and Thoriel keep their feet whilst preparing for another wave and even Teric manages to stay upright. Treating Thoriel's action as a readied attack too.

But sure enough, the morlocks aren't done with you yet. This time, Thoriel cuts down one of the bestial humanoids before it can attack, and Nina skewers another but it just keeps coming!

Aeliah's critters do their jobs; the snake drags on the lever and the feathered bear scratches at the morlock attackers. The druidess mends her own wounds. The lift seems to be accelerating as it falls.Snake fails this round.
