Thanks for the invite, GM! Very excited to play this. Great to see Red here....I’ve played with Lucendar many times in the past!
Very interesting cast of characters selected. I like it! I plan on maxxing out Shel’s UMD so hopefully she can help cover some of the arcane role with our bard.
Shel has a bunch of skills, can help support the front line a little, and can help with most of the face skills too.
Finally I’m very open to changing up a couple things if needed to help the group. Just let me know.

Thanks for the selection, GM. :) I look forward to gaming with you all.
Rîleth also has many skills (including all knowledge skills untrained) and can assist with Diplomacy.
She has both a rapier and bow and some healing magic in her arcane magic repertoire (to ease the burden falling wholly on our warpriest). As she levels, she'll gain Disable Device and trap sense and can assist Shel in these.

Hey Gerald, great to see you again! Hope we can reach 20th level together again on these boards! :)
Rothgarr is the muscle and brawn, not very bright. He is sword and board warrior and not your typical 2-hander combatant. He has Survival and Intimidate to offer the party.

Perri's just a farmhand who wants everyone to get along. <grin>
As an Erastilian, I intend for him to be really archery focused for combat.
Warpriests don't get many skill points, so he doesn't have much breadth. Diplomacy, Sense Motive, Heal, and Spellcraft are what I had planned for him to bring along. If you want me to swap one of those out, we can talk about it.
Both Rileth and Shel have better Diplomacy bonuses than Perri does, BTW. +4, +5, +6. Awful talky group we have here.
Long-term, I want Perri to tank up in the heaviest armor we can find, using his bow on the front line. Somewhere near the end of book 2 he'll not provoke when using the bow. Awful far away, that.

Based on the backgrounds, Perri should at least be aware of Rileth, though they may not have interacted at all.
Shel looks likely to be an unknown.
Red has no background I can see, so I think we can make that up to cover a connection if we need to. A monster hunter wandering this area of Varisia is likely to have contacts in towns scattered throughout, after all.
Edit: Aware? Sure! You think the gossip mill isn't churning about the attractive young elf who showed up out of nowhere and is spending all that time with old Brodert?

I figure I’m a stranger to town. Not sure about the rest of the group, but I’m here to catch the festival before heading back to the city. I might have made the acquaintance of anyone who might be helping with the festival or working in town or something. Thanks
Rîleth Mithrandir
I'm good with Rîleth and Perri having a passing acquaintance in town. Sandpoint is a small sleepy town, so I'm sure their paths have crossed at one of the taverns/inns or the cathedral, for eg, and they've had a chance to make small talk at the very least. :)
Rothgarr "Red" Titan-Slayer
Missed that, Perri. Added my background from the Recruitment thread. As a friend of the Sheriff, Red is most likely in town helping with security, while he continues with his search for a giant.
Perri Purrun
Yeah, given Red's background, I'm VERY confident Perri knows who this shaggy outsider whose helped out a time or two is.
Perri, on the other hand, may have just faded into the background from Red's perspective as just part of the militia. Or not.

Alright, everyone has checked in.
Anything you need from us, GM?
I doubt we will need a marching order for quite some time, but in a dungeon, I’d suggest Shel go first. Also to save time there, I think establishing a standard operating procedure at a door would be as follows...
Perception to listen at door
Perception to notice traps,
If trap, DD to try and open it,
If no trap, open door.
If locked, DD to pick lock.
That way we don’t have to repeat it every time, if everyone is okay with that.

Shel, I like that format. Please add your DD modifier to your line of stats so that is quickly accessible to me.
Also, I apologize for the delay. I linked the wrong game thread for this campaign and I cannot unlink it. I have contacted customer service for them to unlink it so I can link the correct thread but no response yet. As soon as the correct thread is linked, I can submit the initial post and get this moving. If anyone has any suggestions to expedite this process, please let me know.

Low stress. I doubt any of us are going to be able to wheedle Paizo Customer Support into having lots of people on staff this week or next, let alone to get them to pay attention to this concern instead of ones involving money and Christmas gifts.
Shel Whispertongue
No rush, GM. I just wanted to be sure everything was okay on our end.
Yeah, I suspect Paizo will be a ghost town until next week at least. Perri is 100% right.
Rîleth Mithrandir
Perri and I dotted the other/yesterday's gameplay thread and there was no discussion thread open this morning, so no posts were showing. I only checked under the GM's alias to find this one. Sorry for the wait. I PM'd Perri with a link to this game thread in case he has the same issue.
I'll be posting shortly. Posted!
I'm in the Southern Hempsihere, so I think I may be on a different time zone to other players. I also have an appointment for some tests at the hospital this morning (my time), so I will reply to any follow-up posts later in my day. Thanks!
Perri Purrun
Game link that was showing up in my Campaigns tab lost both Discussion and Gameplay tabs. I was wondering what had happened.
Rileth messaged me. JUST saw it. Skated out of work early today (Christmas has perks), so I'm posting hours earlier than normal.
My apologies for the delay.
Rîleth Mithrandir
With Christmas tomorrow and Boxing Day the following day, I won’t be on the boards as I’ll be with my family and extended family. I’ll be back on the boards in the morning of the 27th (26th in the northern hemisphere).
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Stay safe and enjoy the festive season. :)

GM, the goblin (blue) nearest Shel and Rileth has only taken 3 pts of damage. Was that enough to kill it? If not, I think we have one more goblin left to fight/kill presently?
Rîleth Mithrandir
Thanks for the answer, GM. I’m going into hospital for a surgical procedure and won’t be released until tomorrow night. If all goes well (fingers crossed), I’ll be able to post on my Tuesday/your Monday.

Thank you, GM, Shel & Perri. I’m out of hospital and recovering at home. Still loopy from the anaesthesia and in a little pain. I’ll post as Rileth in my morning once the anaesthesia has worn off and I’m more coherent.
Perri, I hadn’t even started counting and I was out. Whatever cocktail of drugs the anaesthetist gave me were mighty strong. Otherwise I can speak a few other languages and it would have been amusing to count in one of those. ;) Maybe next time.
Took some pain meds and I’m going to try to sleep. Good night.
Rîleth Mithrandir
I hope your holiday trip went well, Rothgarr, and thank you. Still sore and somewhat foggy-brained, however I'm functioning a little better today. :)
Thank you, all, for your patience.

Hey all, I've been reading some tutorials on Roll20 for map and tokens and it appears easier to me than Google slides. It's free to set up an account, which I already did. Let me know if you would be amenable to using that system for the maps and tokens - all rolls would still be made here on the boards. I created the next encounter map very easily there and naming the goblins and all was so much easier.
Perri Purrun
Works for me. Not sure how long it has been since I've logged in there for a game's maps, but I've used it as a player before.
Tracks your movements so the GM can review them. Has a fog of war feature that obscures things not in the character's line of sight. I found that more annoying than useful, since it blacked out the path you had already traveled, meaning you couldn't see where your character was two or three minutes ago character time, but possibly weeks ago (online combat!) real time.
Shel Whispertongue
Roll20 isn’t great for my iPad or iPhone, but neither is google. I’ll just be calling out my movements in my posts in either place, so roll20 is fine with me.
Rîleth Mithrandir
Shadow_Fox, I've joined the game map, however I am unable to move my character token. Can you please adjust the settings for this?
Thanks! :)
