Kizzy tries to sweep her legs, to put her prone - and succeeds! Meg gags the manacled, prone, and pinned wizard to prevent further spell casting (no verbal, no somatic). Kast takes the opportunity to slap the entirely captive captive.
The wizard remains invisible (although now that I think of it she might have gone visible trying to break the grapple… I’m going to say she’s still invisible for fun) and stops struggling. She stands inert against the floor as if awaiting her fate. She says nothing.
Seamus thinks he hears a ‘clank’ or something on the other side of the door, but it’s muffled, and the doors on this level are relatively heavy stone affairs. They are well balanced, and open easily, but hard to hear through.

Meg gets a good look at Nualia's stomach scars and her stomach churns. Every expectant mother has heard of Lamashtu and what her "blessings" do to you. Some women barricade themselves away and surround themselves with blessings of Feronia or another more benevolent goddess of fertility, not wanting to risk the slightest chance of some wayward villain cursing their child. Meg had been more cavalier, as typical, as she could not bear to think of the horrors that might be unleashed upon her body should she be so unlucky as to fall under Lamashtu's gaze.
That this woman would so willingly throw herself to Lamashtu is beyond anything that Meg can comprehend. A drive for self-annhilation, a warping of your most fundamental being into pure function and monstrosity.
Meg hates herself, sure, but she has never hated herself that much.
"Why in all of the hells would you do to this to yourself, Nualia? Because you lost your child? I lost two--" She peeks around the corner, lifting up her shirt and armor to show the c-section scar on her own stomach for a long moment before letting it drop again. "--and I did not come anywhere close to...this. I just became an even worse alcoholic than usual. You know, like a sane person."

Last post had a lot of data, so I delayed this bit. Here’s the description of the hallway beyond the door before Izomandakus closes it again.
This short hallway rises in a slope to the east. Five feet from the western door, the floor is polished and shiny, unlike the dusty floor elsewhere. A pair of stone statues depicting stern men wielding glaives stand in alcoves north and south of this section of the hallway. At the eastern end stand two stone doors, their faces carved with strange runes. Just past the doors is a third alcove in which a partially collapsed statue sits. The top half of the statue is missing, leaving behind a ragged stump of a torso.
Seamus slashes the dogs nose, causing to reel back slightly as he bloods it. Meg feints the intelligent dog and cuts it deeply in its flank as she ponders what Nualia has become. Kast casts Bless, to further boost his allies as he continues to watch the back. Kizzy activates her tactician ability as she questions Nualia. Izomandakus’ ready goes off changing his initiative, and blocking the dog from biting!
Nualia laughs at Meg’s scars, ”You know nothing of the power of birth! Sure, you may know the pain of a man violating your body, but you know nothing of the power to grow a fiend!” she grasps her womb, clearly relishing the unwholesome creatures she can, and maybe has, created there.
She spits at Izomandakus. ”You! You were part of the problem. You and the other residents of Sandpoint!” She says it like something unpleasant she stepped in but can’t get off her boot. ”You were all so fawning! ‘Oh you’ve got warts? Just go see Nualia.’ and ‘Her hair can increase fertility.’ I was a FREAK! A sideshow there to please the populace and nothing more.”
Kizzy scoffs, "Not many worry over the dead when the living are threatened." She said with a sneer...
”You think the goal was to kill the residents of Sandpoint with that raid? Oh how precious. That was just a side bonus. Like chips with fish.” She laughs viciously, but does not share her plan.
”To hell with you!” she hisses angrily as the door slams in her hounds face just as it was about to tear into the party!

People would write thinkpieces about me because I tried out a new style of clothing! Thinkpieces! Do you even know what a thinkpiece is? And you organized a goblin invasion because people came to you about warts? Well, congratulations. You really are a freak, now."
She rushes after the retreating Nualia, attacking the hound once more to help clear the way.

Meg charges forward - and into a trap! No one had an opportunity to take-10 to see it, and so it snuck up on you. As she closes with the yeth hound, a pair of portcullises slam down on either side of her, trapping her in the square!
She makes an attack through the bars (normal cover), but the agile hound avoids it!
You hear, around the corner to the north, laughter.

"Lamashtu's mark?" Izomandakus looks at Kast shocked "Of course, is the same like in the altar below Sandpoint... how did I not realize..."
Then the boy looks at Meg even more shocked as she reveals her scars "Oh what? You were a mother Meg?! Of course... that's what you meant back in the temple..."
Izomandakus is shocked when Nualia starts to shout back at him aggressively "Bu... but... it was always so nice around you... you were always so nice..."
As the action resolves and the corridor is cleared when Seamus opens again the door, the redhead is increasingly unnerved "This has no sense. This is not the Nualia I knew. She died in the temple and some demon has come to posses her resurrected body or something" he turns to Kast "Lamashtu has corrupted her body. Yes, that must be"
Izomandakus is still murmuring when Meg charges forward and ends trapped behind the portcullises "Critters!"
"Hold this pig!" handing the torch to Pachemu, Izomandakus moves a hand and closes the door at the back with a few more arcane words, the one from which the laugh is coming, trapping the dog between the doors and the portculises "We do not want that demon possessed creature to come now"
And makes a step forward rolling up his sleeves.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Meg bangs her fist against the bars, wincing as it hurts more than she expected. As she shakes out her hand, she glares at Izo. "You were listening? That was a private moment and I do not care for you spreading my personal--" She cuts herself off as she realizes that in her focus on Nualia, she may have spread her personal information about a bit too freely herself. She bites her lip, then refocuses. "Nevermind all that! Let's figure out how to move this damn portcullis!"
GM Euan - Rise
Ahhh, Meg, please make a Reflex save DC 15. Succeed, and you're 5' back, and not enclosed in the portcullis.

Meg is able to leap back and avoid being trapped in the cage! Instead of lashing out at the dog, she grasps the portcullis and heaves, but she doesn't have a good angle and the iron bars are too heavy to budge much (rolled low). More like a DC 20, or maybe even higher.

Kast looks over the portcullis, thinking strategically.
"Seamus, can you jury rig it so that it can't be opened again? make it so that it's stuck, can you?" Kast asks, hopeful.
Qetsiyah "Kizzy"
Kizzy moved closer to better see what was going on. "Better grab your crowbar, Izomandakus. What are you hoping to do, Kast? Jam it shut to trap her in there?"
Kast Phaer
Kast keeps his eyes on the stairs down as he answers Kizzy.
"Yeah. Absolutely. We don't know who else is with her and what the terrain is like, let alone if they might come up behind us. If we can block off his side, then we can clear out the floor above and circle down," Kast's eyes dart around. "We can't go charging off without the prisoner either. What if someone comes down and frees her?"
Seamus Passeri
His brain spinning, Seamus looks from one friend to the other. Seeing that Meg had almost been trapped. He had opened the door and Meg jumped through. Realizing he should have gone first. That's why he was here, out of all of them, he was the most expendable. And she'd had kids? His Meg had kids. No wonder she drank. Letting his brain wander he wondered if her paramour Sappho had been the father. Shaking his head, Seamus focuses back on the here and now.
Meg wanted to move the portcullis to get to the evil mother of demons who Izomadakus thought was possessed by a demon herself and was still the nice girl from their childhood. While Kast thought they should spike the portcullis keeping the possessed mother of demons locked on the other side with the dog after Izomandakus shut the door between them. In theory keeping either from freeing their prisoner who was still laying bound, gagged, invisible and glittery on the floor while they backtracked and found a way to get to the possessed nice girl mother of demons.
"Aaagggggh." Seamus blurted out as he looking from Kast to Meg to the prisoner.
Still in rounds, just thought I would share where Seamus' head was at. While trying to do it with out the Inner monologue

Seeing Meg manages to avoid the portculis, Izomandakus remains by the pillar instead of stepping forward "That's clever Kast, trapping her like the Shinning Crusade has the Whispering Tyrant sealed at the Gallowspire"
After some seconds for the others to voice up their concerns, the boy also adds more elaborated thoughts "Well, in fact, we do not know if there are more exits there. We might trap her, or we might not"
"But while we decide, we can try to deal with the Yeth Hound" pointing to the doors ahead he adds "Why don't you try to shot it through the bars while I try to hold the doors as closed as possible?"
GM Euan - Rise
Seamus opens the door and readies an attack! Meg charges forward, and into a trap, which forces her back. Though she be mighty, she cannot lift the gate. Kast and Kizzy delay, chatting about their plans for the battle. Izomandakus, still somewhat flabbergasted, slams the door shut on Nualia yet again!
So she opens it, stepping through with a longbow, her sword sheathed for now.
Meanwhile, the hound takes a step back from the cage, clearly aware of what’s coming…
The two statues on either side in the cage suddenly swing down with their glaives in patterned attacks! The blades blur, swinging wildly within the cage. It’s a good thing there’s nothing in there with them.

Round 9
Kast keeps his guard on the back way (readied attack) and hopes the shoot-and-jury rig plan begins to work.
"Maybe the witch has something we can use. Izo, can you check?" Kast nods at the wizardess.
Izomandakus
"I totally want to Kast! But I am busy right now trying to purify Nualia on Sarenrae's flames" Izomandakus tries to quickly answer the warrior while precisely picking a scroll from his case and unrolling it saying the completion words to trigger the contained spell пылающая сфера.
A roaring flaming sphere materializes at Nualia's feet!
Fire damage (DC 13 to avoid; CL5): 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6) = 14
"Burn out of poor Nualia evil spirit!" Pachemu raises her head up to look at the boy unbelieving, while still holding the torch at her small mouth.
Seamus Passeri
Hoping everyone gets there crap together, Seamus sighs as he sheathes his long knives. "Iomandakus, I don't think she's possessed, I just think that's her." Drawing the silver dagger he kept, he shrugs, "Bought cold iron long knives, this is all I have that is silver." As he readies to throw the knife ant the dog.
Move action sheath shortswords, move action draws knife.
Qetsiyah "Kizzy"
Qetsiyah seemed to think that things were not going particularly well. She winced as the statues sliced at the empty space. "Good thing you got out of there, Meg. I have some silver weapon blanch, but it takes time to apply. And Izo has a point, we don't know if she has a way out or not."
My tactician ability dwindling away here.
Margareta "Meg" Alekto
Meg roars in frustration. ”Fine! I’ll check her.” She steps back and begins searching for any scrolls or keys or anything else useful that might help get them past this trap.

Seamus switches up his weapons for the hound. Meg goes to search the woman - who fights back, writhing and shifting to make her job as difficult as possible. Meg still comes up with a potion and a scroll - both unmarked. Kast readies an attack in the rear. Kizzy converses further and continues to delay. Izomandakus focuses on Nualia, their foe, and drops a ball of fire at her feet.
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 vs DC 13 or 14hp fire damage
The two statues on either side in the cage continue to swing down with their glaives in patterned attacks! The blades blur, swinging wildly within the cage.
Nualia laughs, and takes a shot with her bow at Meg through the open doorway and then shifts out of sight into the next room.
Longbow: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 9 - 2 = 22 damage: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 2 = 9
Unwholesome energy envelops her bow as she shoots.
Meanwhile, your manacled wizard rejoins the fray, and becomes visible, as a magic missile launches at Meg! As the woman appears, you see a wand in her hands, still manacled, but she is no longer gagged.
