He's perfectly fine minus the giant growth of vegetation on his arm that is rapidly invading his brain

You have time to rest up here if you want

Pressing on the group comes into a small clearing shaded by the trees over, and the giant tree to the west. The shade keeps the smaller plants from growing too big.

DC 12 Survival:
This is definitely the place that Suzi described to you. The big tree, the three paths converging in one place, the water fall in the distance, and most notably the giant banner that reads 'YALUS SUCKS' hanging between two trees.

Sadly you aren't the only living things in this section of the forest. Beneath one of the trees to the south there is a giant beast. A mass of tentacles around where it's mouth would normally be, fin down it's back and a lashing tail whips through the brush. It seems to be clawing at something in the tree where it is before it spots your group and gives a giant bellow before dropping to the ground.

Life Sciences DC 14:
This is a Ksarik, one of the more dangerous feral monsters of Castrovel. It's actually more closely related to plants than animals, however it can attack any living creature and incorporate some of it's DNA into itself allowing it to gain senses, resistances, or ability to create certain elements as what ever it attacked. They can be raised in captivity and are pretty docile when done so, but feral ones are fairly deadly.
For every 5 you beat the DC by, you can ask for another piece of information.

The Golden Serpent Maps | Actions: ◆ | ◇ | ↺

Api moves into a bit of light ground coverage and fires a shot at the giant dogthulhu thing. The pistol scores a small scratch on the thing.

Joe tries to intimidate the creature into submission or at least weakening it, but not only are his movements a bit... well, lackluster, the creature seems to ignore anything he'd done. You can tell it's immune to mind affecting things that don't target it's type specifically.

Ardoc jogs forward and stabs out with his pike, piercing the hide of the beast and drawing out a dark brown slowly oozing liquid that looks more like sap than any blood you've seen before. The beast gives a roar and raises it's tentacles menacingly.

Bonra clads himself in his solar armor and then gets into a good place to hopefully fight from.

Roddy, trying to recall anything about the creature he can, gets into place, fearing the dogthulhu is about to retch up all over the place.

Kaath makes sure he's not part of an easily targeted group and draws a ranged weapon as well.

Bludgeoning: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

The scar on Dogthulhu heals as it considers Ardoc for a moment. The active retching sound stops, as with a single cough a few strands of acid spill out from what must be its mouth, and drips down the unraised tentacles as the raised ones both lash out at the man in front of it. the first tentacle slams down in front of Ardoc's feet, but the second whips in from the side and catches Ardoc on the back. As the limb comes back it starts to take on the color of Ardoc's skin and even starts to sprout a few silver hairs. This then spreads all over Dothulhu's body.

Ugh barf. I really goofed this up. After re-reading the Entropic Pool entry, a few things:

1. The base damage from Entropic Strike increases, but so far as I could find in the class entry, the bonus damage die from spending an Entropic Point is always +1d4 per point used. The die does not increase.

2. Take away 1 damage from his Entropic Strike, because he could not have added a bonus die to his roll regardless. It requires a move action, and he had to finish moving up to the creature.

3. I may as well use mitigate because I'd max out on Entropy Points anyway and I'd like those 2 HP back. Unfortunately that means I don't get any EP for the triggering damage, so 1 EP for start + 1 EP for full double move = 2 EP currently.

4. OW.

I suspect we should find any others. Yailus, now that we have rescued you, do you know if any of your fellows are nearby?

But meanwhile Ardoc helps AbadarCorp Head manager himself.

Hello, Yailus-tin! Do you harmed, sir? Fear not as we are here. Where can we find these people who think you are sucks?

First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo’s voice rings out. ”Our agents have captured a freighter carrying an unauthorized shipment of drone parts under Datch’s orders. We’re now working closely with the Stewards to determine the source and destination of the confiscated shipment.”

Table GMs, covert mission two is now closed and action mission two is now available for selection.

After accomplishing their own missions, a few ambitious Starfinder teams rush to support their allies still on the ground.

Table GMs, the Agents’ Respite condition is now in effect.

First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo once again summons her chosen agents to the Hall of Discovery. Workers bustle about the chamber, oblivious to the urgent meeting taking place. Luwazi addresses the gathered agents.

“Congratulations,” she begins, grinning proudly. “You’ve met the objectives outlined in my first meeting. Thanks to your hard work, the AbadarCorp board refused to pass the vote of no-confidence Datch initiated against Iseki-Okaibo. The executive archdirector’s position is secure, and our new allies proposed a counter-motion to remove Datch from her position, pending investigation.” Luwazi pauses for a moment to savour the first true victory over her adversary.

“Datch isn’t the sort to cooperate with an investigation, unfortunately. As I predicted, Datch already fled to her private hideout, a secure compound orbiting Verces. She’s absconded with an armada of automated battle drones, and I’m sure that’s not her only line of defence. Thanks to the evidence you helped collect, the Stewards have authorized the Society to engage the drones and oversee Datch’s arrest.” Luwazi glances around at her assembled teams, an expression of triumph on her face.

“Starfinders, this is our first opportunity to act against Datch directly. I know many of you want this, so I don’t need to tell you how important this mission is. Using the elevation ceremonies as cover should give us the element of surprise, but let’s not waste any more time. Travel to Verces immediately, and be ready for anything.”

Table GMs, Part Three has begun.

One point of business, technically Api used the aid token on her shot, but given that the extra damage was not needed, using it for healing would work. However given we finished all of the covert missions, you guys can have a full 8 hours rest.

Ardoc deftly climbs the tree and grabs ahold of Yalus, and then helps the executive as he comes down. Bonra helps from below in keeping an eye on foot placements and hand holds. Yalus calls down, “Sorry about not being much help or warning. I didn’t see or notice you until after the shooting started and I don’t have any weapons on me right now… But i admit it looks rather sucky given the situation… Maybe the banner is right.”

Yalus then points out another three people hiding in the trees. “Simon is over there in the tree that dog-plant-thing, I think someone said it was a Ksarik, was pawing at. Suzzane is over there, on the opposite side of the banner. Annndddd, He pauses for a moment before shouting, Michiala! Where are you?.

From a tree by the river a small Over here, sir! sounds out. He points that way and goes, “...and Michiala is over there! She always was good at getting out of situations before they turned bad!”

With a few minutes the party is able to get everyone down out of the trees, Simon proves to have fainted, Suzzane has a giant scratch down her side from her frantic climb, and seems a bit faint from blood loss, and Michiala proves to be a good 100-150 feet up her tree, apparently intent on getting as high as possible. Otherwise they prove to be okay, and with some basic field patching on Suzanne, they pile into the buggies, ready to head back.

At the resort, Suzy waves the party down as soon as you get in sight, as the concierge and staff rush to help their guests. The bear grins at you, “I’ll want to hear all about what happened with Yalus and his crew, but you might have to tell me later.. The phones here have been blowing up with some host shirren named Zi… Zig… I think he said to call him ‘Ziggy’ instead? He wants you to call him immediately!”

Ziggy gives a sigh of relief as soon as the party calls him. “There you are! I’d not been able to get a hold of you properly. You need to come back at once. The exterminators are ready and moving and need your help immediately!”

Taking the Sunrise Maiden the party has a good 8 hours to rest, as everyone else gets in place. After Luwazi’s inspiring announcement, the ‘fleet’ jumps to Verces, to an orbital base, however as they arrive a veritable sea of drones floods the space near the area. It seems that Datch is not going down without a fight.

First some notes on how I run space combat:

・Given how PbP is highly unconducive to smooth space combat, I ignore phases, and put everyone up at one time. I will add in any additional modifiers or penalties as needed.
・For rolls that other players can modify (assuming they haven't posted yet) I ask that you put it in a spoiler. I trust that you won’t metagame.
・Additionally, the pilot should roll the next round’s initiative with their post, preferably spoilered, for the current round. (Maiden also gives you a plus 2 to checks!)
・Gunners who aren’t at a turret weapon (and posting before final positioning is set) feel free to roll dice for all weapons that apply
・The Maiden has a mk 1 Duonode computer, so a +1 to two checks. Please specify outside spoilers if you use the bonus or not. I’m assuming it will go towards the gunners on a standard basis, but we could funnel it else where as needed.

If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to let me know. Otherwise try to enjoy describing how you do things and what you do!

Secondly, I added a copy of a filled in cheat sheet at the top of the page!

GM Dice:

Next?: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
How far?: 3d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 3, 4) + 5 = 15
Facing?: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9
Initiative: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
First?: 1d2 ⇒ 2

Two of the drones break off from the rest of the fleet and block the flight path of the Maiden. One seems to be covering their rear and the other ready to face you.

Ok, this is my first PbP space combat, so not sure what actions Kaath can take.

Kaath watches as each of his team scrambles to find a battle station on the Maiden.

Where am I going to be the most use?

Per the Cheat Sheet, can Kaath take "Magic Officer"?

Kaath closes his eyes and concentrates on the motion of the other ships.

mysticism: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Precognition DC14?:

You use your supernatural senses and a spark of divination magic to see opponents’ motion before it happens, giving you just a split
second to shout a warning to your ship’s pilot. Attempt a Mysticism check (DC = 10 + 1-1/2 × your starship’s tier). On a success, you
grant the pilot a +2 circumstance bonus to their Piloting check at the beginning of the helm phase to determine piloting order.

The Golden Serpent Maps | Actions: ◆ | ◇ | ↺

That is perfectly fine and I think you'll make a great Magic Officer!

Kaath scrambles for a seat on the bridge, clearly not quite ready for a fight, but ends up in the magic officer's chair. His breathing scattered and scrambled, he takes a moment to meditate and as he does, the images of the drones diving in closer flashes through his head. With a shout he prepares Api for the drone's sudden movements.

Api, you get a +2 to Piloting checks from the speed of the ship, so probably a +11 for most rolls

Apikinzas stays cool, waiting out the drone's movements.

The red drone flies straight for the Maiden and starts up it's sensors, and charging it's weapon.

The yellow drone turns and moves a bit finally coming to facing the right way and also starts to charge it's weapons while scanning the ship.

Okay Api go ahead and move. Also roll initiative for round two please!

EDIT! Ardoc slides into the engineering chair and throws the power core into a weapons focus, powering up Joe and Bonra's shots.
