"I sa' the left'is a fine choice."
GM Silbeg

This narrow corridor stretches around the octagonal center of the keep, and is divided into segments by doors leading through this level of the towers or into interior rooms. Here and there, a few remaining paintings of dour-faced Hellknights still grace the walls between high, narrow windows that let in limited light.
| Davian Runegleam |
Davian slowly walks the corridors, looking at the paintings of the Hellknights. "So many of them. Why did they leave?" He continues to make his way to the left-most door.
| Aragelda Silvernail |
"They're not very friendly-looking, are they?"
Aragelda is good with continuing to the left.
GM Silbeg
|
You move forward, on the left-hand corridor. You come to a door, which opens to a round room, with three doors, including the one you just entered.
Take the door straight, or to the left?
GM Silbeg
|
This dingy room is littered with toppled bunk beds and broken furniture, and doors to small but more private bedchambers hang open along the western and southern walls. In the room’s center, bed frames are stacked upon each other to form a sort of fort, with filthy and ripped bedding draped over the top to form its ceiling and walls.
| Davian Runegleam |
Davian slowly walks around the room, feeling all of the beds as when they leave he may try to bring one back with him. Not that he has much of a permanent home, moving from place to place each night. "Outside of those goblin dogs, this place isn't as scary as they stories that were told." He peeks into all of the side chambers one by one. "Must have been a lot of knights here."
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
| Aragelda Silvernail |
"What were they hiding from, do you think?"
Aragelda carefully pushes one of the bed frames out of the way using her shield, so as not to get her hands dirty.
GM Silbeg
|
Davian, perception is a secret check, which I will roll if you are taking the Search exploration activity
I have moved everyone back, and had the rest follow in... because...
perception Aragelda: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 6 - 1 = 24 2

Gideon, Ingraham, and Aragelda all notice someone or something hiding in the improvised fortress.
Currently counts as hidden to them, and undetected to the rest
Also, please remember that Aragelda, Davian, and Edjarha are sickened 1

Good morning evening, awake from my grave shift slumber.
Ingraham draws his club again and raises his shield. "If ye' be friend, this be no time to play games!" He then marches forward.

A female voice yells out, "Ewch allan o fy ystafell!"
What looks like a bugbear woman stands and chucks a javelin at Aragelda!
Her shield is raised, as the voice sounds quite hostile
Javelin vs AC19: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 piercing: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 Crit for 16
I am assuming the 20 AC is without sickened? If so, this is a crit. Also, I assume Aragelda uses shield block to reduce that by 5, so takes 11. Will adjust if my assumption is incorrect.
Gideon's readied shot flies true, striking her.
"Bydd Yoletcha yn eich lladd am hynny!"

Doh, Thanks! Shifting him back 5 feet forward where he was at then. I think I get messed up since Gideon is my PFS 2E Bards name as well.
Davian watches in horror as the javelin pierces right through Aragelda. "NOOOOoo!" He looks in anger at the hobgoblin as her shield barely saves her life. His back rune flares, bright with energy beneath his shirt. Ley lines of magic flow across like a vein connecting to the rune on his hand as a wave of missiles leap from each of his fingertips. Three of them arc across the room and into the hobgoblin.

Ingraham marches to the far side of Yoletcha, raising his shield.
"I be givin ye' one chance to stan'down, Yoletcha. May'haps we can talk'is out."
Not sure where I can attack her from with all that cover, so best I can hope for is to divert her attention.
GM Silbeg

You could attack her from the side you are on, but she still would benefit from cover.
Also, are you planning on using shield block?

With a flurry of missiles from both Darian, the bugbear's attention appears to waver a little.
Then Edjarha rushes forward, but all he can hit are boxes!
She used the Take Cover action
Then, Gideon lets fly with his own trio of missiles.
Agravara, then Ingraham can make his flat check
| Aragelda Silvernail |
Folgrit, please bring Ingraham back.
Aragelda calls on the dwarven pantheon to heal Ingraham.
2-action heal: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
She then raises her shield in protection.
GM Silbeg
|
Aragelda’s heal brings Ingraham back, at least part way.
The bugbear has some gear, including her bastard sword, 2 javelins.
Searching around while folks refocus or heal finds a potion in the bugbear’s fort, a couple of what appear to be alchemical weapons of some sort, and a small talisman, of the type you might attach to armor or weapons.
Two vials of a clear liquid are also found tucked under a wooden shield.

Ingraham, do you want to wait another hour, or are you okay to proceed with the 13 hp from the heal spell?
Ingraham Dovetal
|
Ingraham turns to the goblin they are accompanied with.
"So, seems'ye made some foes in'ere. Tell me, how much'uva rush are we in?"
If he says rush, I'll use my second heal spell. If not, I'd be willing to wait the hour.
GM Silbeg
|
Ingraham turns around to realize that Warble is no where to be seen. He realizes then she never came into the citadel.
| Davian Runegleam |
"According to Warble he goblin tribe here appears to be in some sort of trouble." Davian shrugs on how much time they have. "So we should probably hurry a bit."
GM Silbeg
|
Where to next, then? There is a door by Aragelda, and a door at the far end of the room.
| Aragelda Silvernail |
"Let's check here, first. Don't want anyone coming behind us."
If everyone is ready, Aragelda raises her shield up and opens the door next to her.
GM Silbeg

To the north of many rows of stadium-style benches stands a wide dais. Garbage clutters what was once undoubtedly a pristine floor. A small corridor near the dais leads to the west, while to the north, an iron gate provides a view into a central courtyard.
From through the iron gate, you hear a series of barking growls, the sounds of claws scraping stone, and further still, what sounds like goblins and a halfling arguing.
The halfling (who sounds vaguely like Calmont) is making insulting demands that he be shown the way into the citadel dungeon. The goblins are so far refusing and throwing back creating insults themselves!
| Aragelda Silvernail |
Aragelda whispers, "At least we've found some goblins. Should we assist them?"
Ingraham Dovetal
|
"Alright'en, I'll be more cae'ful with whatever we fight." Ingraham continues, covering himself with his last spell.
