Gregor was walking around the ship with Jask on a tether. Letting him stretch his legs and get some fresh air. The manacles were tight but not bad to cut off circulation. and afforded enough room to move his hands a bit. The keys were on Gregors belt in a pouch.

He looked around and breathed the sea air in. He could understand why someone would take to loving this kind of life. The gentle rocking of the ship was very soothing. A seagull sqwacked nearby and flew up to one of the crossbeams that the sails were affixed to.

he grinned. It wasnt half bad. Well Jask. Ill be almost sorry to see you go. Youve been a pleasant prisoner and I thank you that you havent given me reason to hurt you. I hope Your Nethys is with you and your sentence isnt harsh.

You are feeling sand below your back and you hear the gentle lapping of water on your feet. The sound of oceans waves washing against a beach reaches your ears.

You foggily try to wake up as a searing pain goes through your left foot. You open your eyes and feel a disorienting nausea. When you manage to focus, you find yourself lying on a beach staring into the eyes of a sea scorpion. When you look around you see two more of these crossbreeds of a Lobster and a Scorpion crawling onto the beach. Next to you see various other passengers lying on the beach, although none of them shows any movement yet. A few meters to the left a pile of various weapons, armour and tools lies on the beach.

The creatures are Ochre Eurypterid, the smallest suspecies of Eurypterids. Eurypterids are sea scorpions with a dangerous poison sting and fearsome pincers. Some ship captains are known for seeding their ships holds with colonies of these creatures as they do not eat the ships store but are murder on rats. Alas, one can often tell the ships that use this tactic by the unusually high number of crewmen with missing fingers.

As a vermin its immune to mind effecting abilities.
The sting of an Ochre Eurypterid is only a weakpoison reducing the agility of the target. (DC10)
