"That blood isn't ancient. It seems our friend and his group may have made it this far, but not without injury."
James continues to search for more clues, then is ready to move on.

Vedia Merenda |

Vedia goes to the desk to check it out. "What do we have here? Too bad we can't take all of this out of here, we'd be rich."
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Xandar Coulsong |

Xandar looks more on the disk then anything els in the room "Amazing I never expected to see this many wonders when I first traveled here. Wealth is not as important as knowledge, I would much rather learn what this is and it's function then haul it out and sell it to the higheste bidder. We might end up selling it to someone from the League."
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

GM Red Box |

Xander, as you search the desk you also notice an open door to what looks like a storage room. Inside you find the following:
- 1 working flashlight
- Three batteries
- 26 Silverdisks
- One locked bin with what looks like a white access panel
Once I see the roll I will tell you. :P
The room doesn't seem to contain anything else of immediate use or portability.

Xandar Coulsong |

"Hey folks I found something. Somekind of light stick" He says showing how it works "Some batteries I guess we might find useful and a bunch of these silverdisks. Also some kind of container, are any of you capable of maybe picking that up? I must admit that is not one of my many strengths." Xandar continues and sets the bin on the desk while he starts to examines the batteries. "Maybe these works with the pistol we found or something els in here."

Augar followed still a bit wpunded but not wantinf to impede the journey.
"These devices are quite impressive. Do you think that eventually we might achieve such fantastic feats of enfineering and magic?"

James Quintik |

James tries both key cards, and failing that, takes a look at seeing what he can do to short circuit the lock. Unfortunately, even with his background, this is simply beyond his skill.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
I wonder if they have a technology version of lockpicks...
"Well, there might be something that we find later that can open this, but so far, it eludes me."
Then looking over the light and the batteries, he says "Interesting. I is sort of like ammunition, powering both weapons and tools. I wonder if it is the same sort of thing making all these wall lights and buttons flash and such?"
Unless someone else takes the light and batteries, James will stick them in his bandoleer.

Vedia Merenda |

"Didn't we pick up that thing in the first room that was like a pick. The one that caused us to get into the fight with the mechanical guard?" Vedia studies the item, but doesn't have the skills to attempt to open it.

Uronzeer looks about the room and picks up one of the silver discs. He examines it closely.
"these do not look of our world." He turns to Augar "should we achieve such feats of majic and engineering?" he asks speculatively.
Uronzeer is Against the Technic league and in general not comfortable with technology

GM Red Box |

+1 from the pick gives you just enough. The pick you have is black, the lowest kind.
James sits on the floor with the case and e-pick and tries to work out how to open the box. Assuming the rest of the party is patient he fails again and again but finally, after about 40 minutes gets the case open. Inside are several unusual objects.
- Two glowing blue cylinders
- One outfit of unusual material
- One green pistol
Pictures are on the tactical map
Some sort of explosive device that you arm and throw (grenades) you would guess the different colors do different things.
The blue makes a great noise (Bang Grenade) No damage but staggers creatures for one round and defans for 1d4 - DC15 Fort negates
Uses batteries for power to change color. +2AC / Max Dex +8 One battery gives it 24 color changes. When a charge is used the wearer gains +3 competence bonus to stealth checks.
Timeworn Stung Gun - Currently 5 Charges 1d8 x2 - Non-lethal / 20ft Range / Capicity 10 / Touch / Semi-Automatic
This weapon uses a sonic amplifier to produce powerful low-frequency blasts of energy that pummel targets. The weapon has a relatively short range, but the fact that it deals nonlethal damage at range and can knock targets prone makes it a favorite for those seeking to capture their foes alive. A hit by a stun gun deals nonlethal damage—on a critical hit, the gun can attempt a free trip combat maneuver check against the target (CMB = user’s base attack bonus + 10); this attempt doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity.

Elkin Stormborn |

Elkin is happy to give James the time he needs to explore, and hopefully open, the small box. He busies himself looking around the room at the various buttons and switches, careful to not disturb anything, and mystified as to their nature.
When James exclaims upon opening the box, Elkin hurries over and peers inside at the gunslinger unpacks the box.
What was found, however, means nothing to Elkin. While his interest is even more piqued, he has no way of knowing what these devices might be for.

I'm assuming that the pistol's DC is Knowledge(Engineering) as well
Ivar takes a few moments, pondering the various items "These cylinders, they seem to be something similar to Alchemist's Fire or Acid Flasks. You hit this button here" he says, pointing but being careful not to touch. "and throw them at enemies. This suit seems to be some technological armor, similar to leather. With batteries, I think this material would shift color with the environment, aiding efforts to move stealthily. The pistol, I think, does nonlethal damage. It would be good for subduing targets without killing them."
Go ahead and read the spoilers (except the DC30).

That covers the DC 30.
"Nice! I would not have figured that outfit out. Good eye for details. This grenade, I think it just makes a big bang, although that might surprise or stun someone for a short time."

Xandar Coulsong |

Xandar is patiently waiting for James to unlock the container, his curiosity to big to contain he starts walking around the room to study the walls and desk more.
Once James get's the case open he returns to the group and takes a look on the stuff the others quickly identified. "Interresting equipment, who ever used to live in these ruins truly brought some amazing technology with them to Golarion. I guess James wants to hold onto the pistol, I don't really have any skill with ranged weapons. But I sure want to study the gun along with the other items, to see how it works and if they have other useful aplication then we already know"

Vedia studies the blue cylinders, but learns nothing new. "The outfit changes colors? Pretty. I can't wear armor though. Good job James. These are some excellent technology."

GM Red Box |

Once you are done examining the items you stumbled across there are two doors, beyond the one you came in though.
- North with relativity fresh blood
- East with no markings
The machines in the room occasionally beep, buzz or flash which I imagine would not be the most comforting experience for the group.

GM Red Box |

North Doorway:
Bloodstains mar the floor and walls of this hallway, while scorch marks and smears of ash on the walls evidence some sort of altercation having taken place in this area relatively recently. Four tangled mounds of metal and other materials lie further up the hall, surrounded by strangely colored stains.

"No I believe that it is possible, what we lack is a cohesive vision to do it" He said as he continued on the way after the others. He was still sore and injured but he would save his healing for later as he doubted that was the last encounter they would face on this trek

Uronzeer creeps ahead of the group into the hallway cautiously.

"Do you think someone has been piling this stuff together?" Xandar asks as he walks into the room and looks at the mounds. "What are these strange colors?"
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

GM Red Box |

Xander looking at the piles more closely you can see that each pile appears to be a destroyed construct of some sort. Some look like the ones you fought earlier but one is more yellow in color and bigger.
You can all see, as you move in, that clearly there was a battle in this hallway. At two points there are what appear to be spatter patterns of blood on the wall as well. The age of the blood is about the same as on the door you came in though.

Xandar Coulsong |

"A great battle has certainly taken place here. Some of these piles are constructs like those we have previous engaged in combat. Do you think Khonnir's group went through here? Would seem likely that it is them as the only missing team and there is quite a bit of blood here, unless ofcourse the blood is older then thier disappearence."

James Quintik |

"I fear our friends have not fared well, but I expect some have survived to carry on, since there are no bodies here."
James takes a quick look over the wreckage to see if anything looks salvageable, such as an upgraded e-pick or weapons or such.

Xandar Coulsong |

"I hope you are right James. I really don't want to think what kind of scavenger could live down here if there is no survivors. We have seen undeads down here already, maybe some power has taken the bodies for something dark and twisted." Xandar says as he moves past the half orc to see the end of the hallway.

![]() |

Augar continues on as he hears the possibility of it being body less he had to chime in.
"Just because there are no bodies doesn't mean that they faired any better than the fallen machines. They could have been taken by scavengers or since we have fought some already, possibly Undead" He said as he trudged alongside the others with a little issue his strides loud as he continued on.

Vedia Merenda |

"Let's continue to follow the blood and see where it leads." Vedia follows the group down the hallway.

GM Red Box |

I am going to assume that you are going through the door that the blood leads to.
A long table with various unusual stones and dirt samples heaped on it sits along the southern wall of this room, while to the north a line of metal desks with glowing panels and buttons are placed next to a large humming device. The heart of this device seems to be some sort of flickering sphere of reddish-brown mud or dirt. Dust covers much of this room, save for a strangely clean swath between the doors, which leads to the strange humming device.
As soon as they register the details of the room every party member hears a voice in their head “Where am I?” and a pause for an answer “Who are you?” and after another pause “What is this place?”
Now you can see the creature. A bulbus plant like body on tendral like legs with a large mouth, talking directly into your mind.
Finally “Do you have move food like the others did?”

James Quintik |

James thinks for a minute, then says to the group "Move food? Do you think he means something alive?"
Then to the plant, he says "I am sure we can find you some food. My name is James Quintik, and we seek these others. When were they here? And where did they go? As far as where is this place, well, I am not sure what to tell you. It seems you are in an underground building of some sort."

“Creatures like you were pulled by creatures not like you though here.” a very short pause and then the voice is almost frantic “they left delicious red food on the floor as they went though! Do you have more red food?

Xandar Coulsong |

"Hmm so it feeds on blood, better not tell it where it comes from." Xandar looks uneasy about how to continue the conversation with the plant, but he decides to try. "I'm sorry I can't say that we have any red food. But there was a lot of red in the hall we just came from, maybe that's what you want?" Xandar says trying to avoid a fight with it after he remembered what the plant is.
