"Bishop, you think Timber needs to play fetch?"
Bishop Shepherd
|
"He can, but he doesn't usually play nice..."
He looks over at his friend and gives a quick whistle. Meanwhile the ranger grabs a handful of blunt tipped arrows from his trusty magical quiver, which has affectionately named Ehlonna.
Will try to knock the lot of them out with a hail of arrows while Timber goes after stragglers or those who turn a corner. Should I roll?

Munny takes his threatened shot.

Munny will shoulder Vera, and declares a judgement, for protection and and destruction.
He then casts shield of faith to make it harder for them to hit him.
| Grandmaster TOZ |
"Well done, Pathfinders." The voice comes from a shimmering image of a woman wearing a rune-inlaid ivory mask, adorned with peacock feathers, blood-red crystalline tears, and silver rings. "Once again you have been called to defend the Grand Lodge and are proving your mettle admirably. I have been monitoring the situation here and in Gallowspire to the best of my ability. I have not been able to locate the rogue member Vahlo, through the influence of his helm, nor have I seen Grandmaster Torch, likely through similar wards. As the only agents available to defend the Lodge, I charge you to stop Vahlo and Grandmaster Torch from causing further damage to the Society."
Jayne Munny
|
"Yes, Ma'am, you really don't understand. We're here to defend the Grand Lodge, and the Pathfinder Society regardless of what y'all say. So, if you have somethin' to report to us that will be helpful for that task, I reckon you'd be best off lettin' us know. Otherwise, you should use your tricks to try and penetrate those protections."
Jayne Munny
|
"Thank you, ma'am. We will make full use out of it."
Munny tips his cap to her, and starts moving to the stature of Durvin Gest.
Nymathor the Enchanter

Nym is distrustful of the magic before him. He whispers a cantrip and tries to understand the magic used, while assessing the words.

"Look, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Let's get to the statue and see what we've got. If it's a trap, then we learn a little something. Right?"
| Grandmaster TOZ |
"Your caution is well warranted, Pathfinders. I have every faith in your ability to overcome this threat and hope that we will meet again in victory." With that, the image fades, leaving the party alone once more.
Approaching the statue of Durvin Gest, you find nothing untoward around it. Opening the hidden compartment is a simple matter, the secreted nature no match for your skills. Inside is a wand and ten potions marked as healing. Two scrolls contain death ward and dimension door, the second at CL18.
Approaching the Center House, you see the figure before the entrance is clearly too small to be the Grandmaster. Leaning against the double doors, slumped to the stone flagstones leading up to the building, is a familiar halfling woman.
”Good day Pathfinders! Janira Gavix, Pathfinder agent! I’m busy right now, have to chronicle everything inside the house, can’t help you right now! If you want to cooperate, that’s our motto!” On the ground next to her are numerous broken lock picks, while in her hand is a broken short sword. She raises the blade, clearly blunted from repeated use, slashing it against the dark wood panel of the door. No mark remains from the blow, as she raises the blade once more.

He nods at Kulik, while waving Nym over.
"Well, little ma'am, why don't we see if we can help you out here. Set that broken sword aside, as I've got a little spell that can probably help us out a tad."
diplomacy: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29
He casts protection from evil on Janira, if she lets him.
| Grandmaster TOZ |
”Oh, you know Master Zey’s focus spell? That will make this go much faster!” Janira smiles, allowing Munny to cast the spell.
Will Save: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Picking up one of the broken picks, she begins to work at the keyhole of the door again, dried blood flaking away from her fingertips. ”We’ll have this chronicle done in no time thanks to cooperation!”
Jayne Munny

"So what's so gol'durn important that you've gotta get in to Center House? I ain't 'a seen a body so incensed over gettin' into a dwellin' since I don't know when."
He waves again at Nym.
"You know, maybe if you stop a moment, we'll be able to help y'all out, since we're a'goin' in their ourselves."
Munny grabs here, hoping to prevent her from doing any more harm against herself.
grapple: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (9) + 18 = 27 Provokes, since he doesn't have improved grapple

As Munny grabs hold of her, the halfling begins to pound her fists against him. The blows barely register with how weak they are, but the lawman is able to see the barely scabbed over cuts and dark bruises across her hands. ”Let me go! I’m on orders from the Decemvirate to chronicle this building. You are not cooperating with the will of the Ten!” Tears of frustration run down her face, clearing tracks through the dirt and grime.

”Darlin’, Shemis herself sent me here, to save our beloved Society. Please, take a rest, we can handle this.”
Nymathor the Enchanter

"Can you dismiss that magic, Mister Munny? I can probably deal with this and help Janira. After all, she did take me through my Confirmation, which I will forever be grateful."
Seriously, The Confirmation was Nym's first scenario
Once the protection has been dismissed, Nym weaves a spell to dispel the magical domination cast upon her.
Dispel Magic: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36
Nym nods in satisfaction at the perfect execution of his spell.
| Grandmaster TOZ |
As Nym finishes his perfect spell, Janira blinks, ceasing her struggle against Munny. Looking around, she seems to see the party for the first time. "Oh. OH! My head...feels like I've been listening to Master Shaine too long." Rubbing at her hands, she looks at Nym. "Thank you for freeing me. I was on the lodge grounds when I saw the undead coming from the Mausoleum. I knew I couldn't handle it by myself, so I retreated to Skyreach. I found a member of the Decemvirate there and thought they would know what to do. But when I warned them, they just laughed!" She shudders a little bit at the memory.
Nymathor the Enchanter

"What did their mask look like, Janira," Nym asks kindly. "Also, are you wounded? Some of us have magic that could help."

Munny casts cure light wounds on Janira.

"Can you check in on Starhall? It was burning, and I cannot say what has been destroyed. Perhaps you can identify what has been lost?"
| Grandmaster TOZ |
"That is definitely something I can do!" Janira offers a quick salute, before turning to head in the direction of the remnants of smoky haze.
Bidding the halfling agent goodbye, the party marches to the Mausoleum. The wandering undead become more numerous in the courtyard, oblivious to the party overhead. Peering through the doorway, a horde of restless bodies can be seen, falling over each other and forming huge barriers of rotting flesh and bone.
How would you like to deal with this?

”I reckon a fireball or two would clear this mess up. ” says Munny, as he unslings Vera.

”Or, maybe I save Vera, and haul out the longbow I’ve got stashed away, just to see if it still works.
“Should have had Janira see if there are any supplies, like ammunition and the like, that we could use.”
”Hayato, you think you could be point for us, as usual?”
Munny is fine just shooting the undead

Nym holds his Staff of Fire, and opts to draw power from the weapon to burn away the undead scourge. He waits for Hayato to stand ready, looks for a nod from Munny, and then lobs a Fireball into the undead crowd.
Fireball, DC 24 Reflex: 10d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 2, 2, 3, 6, 6, 5, 1) = 35

"I will end that Decemvirate bastard. Look, I've been a pathfinder in the field for more than 10 years. I believe in the society, but I also know that mortals can go wrong no matter who they are. Munny, I think Vera and Decision have a date with destiny."
As Nym casts the fireball, the charnel flames dance in Bishop's eyes.
