Any consensus from the group about whether they want Phin to try to disable the chest (and us potentially damage what's inside) with Erix busting it open?
If everyone wants to leave it intact then Phin will look at arranging some sort of audience with someone of House Vadalis to return the items.

Lupi is too curious to return the chest, so she votes for opening it.

Alua Riversong |

We gotta open it. Better to risk ruining whatever is inside than risk giving it away for free.
Unless it's a curse or a bomb, I guess.
@Lupi - make sure you tell the rest of us what happened in Goblintown, we'll definitely have reactions.

the Grand Goblin |

Yes, you SAID that you told the others, but you didn't tell them in IC. Not quite the same thing ;^) What did you tell them? How did you tell them? And please don't say "everything" and "to the best of Lupi's knowledge" or something like that. Write it out, tell the story in Lupi's own words.
I probably understand your point here :), not entirely sure, but I will let Lupi continue...

Alua Riversong |

@Jussi - what was in the envelope we bought so dearly from Werem?
Those interludes are whetting my curiosity! (Lupi - here is the first one.

Thanks Alua :)

Check the party pool:
- name, contact information and code phrases for a reliable guard in the Blackcaps prison camp
Also, if you intend to do something with the chest then please go ahead and do it - for all you know, it might contain a powerful magical item that's key to your survival in the next mission (hinted at my last gameplay post) and won't you be sorry if you decide to leave it for later ;^)
But if you just want to gaze longingly at the battered old thing while it sits on some storage shelf gathering dust, that's 100% OK with me too.

Erix Thorn |

I'm afraid I've lost track of which day each event occurred on. I think Erix had thrown himself into the carnival the day - Nymm (June) 13, Far (Friday) - the goblins were attacked?

Pain posted about opening the chest on Thursday

Erix Thorn |

Sorry - final assignment went in last night. Erix has dropped the chest in Zorch.
Incidentially, I think I have to apologise to @Kirsdrake that he has careful dates, and I've got a section called Zorch.

It works, and "Zorch" has a certain charm to it! Besides, we can all soon go back to posting in one timeline so we can do away with the spoilers and worrying about dates.

"Yes!! ...please." Then Lupi got suddenly serious and turned to Phin. "Do you have any way to disguise yourself...? I mean... goblins don't really like elves... or actually... they kind of hate elves...", Lupi's voice got a bit more quieter with every sentence. "Most goblins there will attack elves on sight..."
That is true, with half-orcs being up there with the elves as hated enemies, and the Darguuni are just not generally fond of outsiders. And Lupi's own existence can't help but confuse things. Despite what she choses to believe, she does not look like a goblin. Now, a very un-elven diet since she was still a baby may have resulted in some peculiar coloration, and she certainly doesn't carry herself like an elf, but the mix of pure-blooded elven physique, exotic skin colour and wholly goblin body language... also, she's brought up by some pretty old-school goblins so in Sharn, among city goblins, she can out-goblin most of the locals. Out in Darguun, though... the locals might not be quite so impressed, since you won't be running into familiar faces from childhood.
On the other hand... well, wait and see.

Kirsdrake |

So... the airships leaves on the 20th, in the afternoon. Alua's and Baran's visit to the Pegasus Spire takes place on the morning of the 19th, so you have a little time for preparations. Also, particularly since you are leaving the City for a bit, make sure to make very clear if you are taking some of the stuff in the party pool with you (Potions, poisons, the wand, some money). Otherwise they are left at the Agency and are unavailable if it turns out you'd really need them over in Darguun.

the Grand Goblin |

I think there is nothing too heavy in the party pool, so I guess we will be taking it all.
Except maybe sell the silver cutlery?
If we are going to dig old dungeons, there might be some undead, so holy water might be a good investment?

Kirsdrake |

Let's see... 365G assuming you sell the cutlery, but then again, it's been a week so you need 50G for the loan repayments (I'll go ahead and reduce that, and add up the various monetary rewards on one line in the party pool). And since you don't know how long you are going to be away, might be a good idea to pay the next week's sum ahead of time (so you don't return to find your office ransacked). That's leave 265G... 240G of which you need for next month's property tax, Sebastian's protector's fee and loan payments, assuming something goes sideways and you won't get paid for the next mission (although you won't need to cough up every penny on the first day of the month).
So, up to you. 25G if you want to play really safe, 265G if you want to assume a speedy mission and timely payment.

Baran 'Elmswright |

It seems to me an oversight that BArds do not have 'charm animal' in their spell list, especially as they have 'charm person', 'charm monster', and the mass charm versions of both of those spells. I will have to activate the wand using 'Use Magical Device'.

Erix Thorn |

Hmmm. Erix hasn't taken anything so far, and probably doesn't need to (assuming his job pays for food) but he will need to cover his membership in the Deathsgate Adventure Guild after a year.
In theory this is useful, as it opens certain doors to them.

Phin the Raccoon |

Sorry, I am a little behind.
With regards to stuff from the party pool, we can probably leave the darkwood box. I would say that Erix take the CMW potion. Phin can carry the invisibility potion and the poisons unless someone else has a different idea.
I would love to go shopping for Phin before going but I'm still unclear as to how much she'd have to spend so I guess I won't get anything. Especially since their expenses seem to be adding up quite quickly.
A disguise kit would be too expensive to splurge on for the trip. Kirsdrake, would you allow her picking up some odds and ends to make a passable disguise? If so, how much would you charge her for that?
She'll also leave her Courtier clothing at her home. I don't really think that they'll be needed where we're going.

Kirsdrake |

Can I get clarification on how many females are on the airship? Just want to make sure before I post as I have conflicting thoughts in my head right now.
Two NPCS sharing the room with you and your lot - I guess digging into a mountain was a job that attracted more brawny lads than delicate lasses. And the ship's crew is male-only for this mission to avoid men and women having to share bedrooms. Not that there's any real privacy for hanky-pansy on the crowded ship.

Kirsdrake |

Hmm... you don't NEED a disguise kit, it just gives bonuses like most kits (I guess lockpicking stuff and the like are an exception since it'd be somewhat tricky to pick a lock with chopsticks). If you have a specific disguise in mind I don't have a problem of you taking some time to get the requirements on the cheap - if you need clothes, you need to buy, loan or steal them, of course. Can't just create a dress out of nothing with a mere skill check ;^)
On the other hand, if you want the option of disguising yourself as anything you might decide you want at the moment, you'll definitely need that kit or a large wardrobe of clothes to carry with you. Preferably both, but one can assume the kit comes with a variety of clothes as well as makeup and wigs and such.

the Grand Goblin |

Did not find anyone objecting, so I guess it is OK to remove 12.5gp from the party pool to Lupi's Color Spray scribed scroll.
@kirsdrake: Party pool file is likely only editable by you, so please take 12.5 Galifars from it for one self-scribed Color Spray spell.

Kirsdrake |

Ah, I see. Baran created a few female NPCs in his post. Well, far it be from me to discourage such! In fact, exactly the opposite - the nameless NPCs are meant for you to play with if you wish, to interact with, to create drama and glimpses of life with. I have plans for a few of them, but even in the case you went and fleshed out every single one I trust I can still fit a few of them to the roles I need for them.
So forget about that limit of 2 female NPCs ;^)

Phin the Raccoon |

Phin will look at disguising herself as an older human. So she'll 'borrow' a voluminous cloak w/hood to hide her form. I figure she'd be able to find a stick to use as a walking stick somewhere in the 'wilds'. So that leaves purchasing a bit of makeup and hair dye. Does 5g sound reasonable for that? If so, I'll remove it from her personal wealth.
Granted this could all be moot because her dragonmark allows disguise self but she doesn't know that :)
I will put the mentioned things in her gear but I'll separate it for 'party use'. If Erix doesn't take the CMW, she'll also take that one so it's not left behind.

Phin the Raccoon |

I didn't think she'd need a disguise while doing the work. I figured it was more if we got separated from the archeology group and had to explain our presence in the wilds.

Sorry, I've completely forgotten about that post - mea culpa. I'd be happy if you ret-con'ed them as men. As long as the guy stays cute - Baran isn't particular.

Phin the Raccoon |

@Baran: your music pick was waaaaay better than mine. I absolutely love that rendition. I missed it because I didn't realize that was a link. I thought you were telling Kirsdrake that you had nothing else to add. If it had said Nothing Else Matters then I would have clued in faster :)

Phin the Raccoon |

@Kirsdrake: Back pain and joint pain are a b!$@+. I really hope that you're on the mend. Or at least find decent enough treatments (whether chemical or physical) to help with the discomfort.
