Checking for those interested in test driving a new world. You will be table 2, table 1 is ran on roll20.net sundays. I'm looking for Mature players willing to handle a test drive of my material.
I don't have a map yet, but I could write a whole primer. The only problem is finding artists to do the graphic design/Heraldry.
The world is available here. The rules to be playtested are the race rules.
Oh, I added kitsune as a race a while ago, so you can play kitsune. This is just a test drive, to see where I can improve the race rules.

I'll throw my hat in the ring here if you'll have me.
Important Question: What kind of power level are you looking at? I can munchkin a flavorful character if you want to stress test the system. I can also build a reasonably powered character as well. Or even low powered...up to you.

So I've had a read of the rules and I'm interested - the rules seem simple and thorough enough, I have a few concept ideas already.
I would like to ask before just making a few characters, will you allow archetypes? Or will they be case-by-case?
I'll allow archetypes, to be sure. Psychonauts, Vivisectionists, Flying Blades, Wild Hunters, its all good as long as I get to examine the archetype and what it will be able to do.

Sounds good! Keeping it super short and sweet:
Name: Vargos
Race: Undead
Class: Unchained Monk (Scaled Fist)
Background: Hailing from Margavia, Vargos was raised by a sect of monks whose original founders claimed to have been trained by draconic masters. Sent to travel the wider world as part of his training, Vargos found very little to like beyond the walls of his monastery. He keeps mostly to himself, though of late the wandering monk seems to have found traveling companions that he enjoys being around, and their adventures have led him to Bretonia.

You want to stress-test your race rules? To my eye, the obvious corner case is the undead character with Cha as a non-dump stat. So some character building Q's about the undead:
1) Do the undead reproduce , or are they all humans/elves/whatevers that have been re-animated? (& If so, how?)
2) Is everyone else freaked by them? Do the Christians hold auto-da-fe's for example...
3) How long ago did this bulk transformation into undead happen? How long ago did the re-awakening of the undead happen?
4) Is the lichs' empire still around, or is it just Margravia (and her vampire queen)?
| EltonJ |
A1. The undead cannot procreate. They are mostly humans and elves that have been re-animated by the Lich Queen's magic.
A2. Everyone is freaked out by them.
A3. 10 to 20 years ago. The re-awakening of the Undead happened 5 years ago. And it's still happening, although the magic that allowed for sentience/sapience is waning.
A4. Yes, it's still around, it doesn't include Margavia though. Margavia is ruled by a Vampire queen. There are more undead than alive in Margavia. The living is frightened by the Undead.
