Ragnar nods and grins. "A blessing indeed! A blessing indeed! Let's get this haul back to the inn and split it there."
He also takes a look at the corpse of the slain creature to see if it had anything on it.

"Praise Abadar an' all that"
The grin on Halders' face is so broad and persistent that his cheeks begin to hurt.
"Ya can make use of your cart and 'orse now, oh Chosen of Abadar- ta move this'n loot."
As they gather up the loot Halders gently kicks the corpse, wondering what damaged the guard before it trundled down the hall.
Halders Isgood
I propose we haul everything back to the inn, get a room & divide everything up. We may have to sell the crest though it may be worth side-quest information xp too. No doubt we'll need to check in with the Baroness but I assume we'll have more answers for her as we go forward.
Once at the Inn we can also look for another party member or two.

Onward down the tunnel!
Ragnar holds his key of Abadar aloft and summons a floating disk to take some of the weight off his old shoulders.
"Right then, down the tunnel we go! Once we get back I will assay our haul. There is a church of Abadar in town and they will guide us to a merchant to get a fair price, for a modest donation of course."
Galessa
”Let’s go down this way. We haven’t been here yet, and it may also lead out. That way we can honestly say that there wasn’t any Wizard in here, nor any information on the kobolds.”
Halders Isgood
Looks like we're going on through the tunnel we haven't explored yet.
With a tick tick tick of cogs, Halders will retrieve the daggers that were used as keys, twirling them around watching the cage enclose the empty chests again.
He'll turn and follow the tall folk down the unexplored tunnel, kicking again at the extra-dead guard.

The old dwarf shakes his head and grumbles as he takes out the knotted length of rope again."Could one of you please secure this up top. These old bones are not going to be getting over that without some assistance."
Once it is secured he carefully works his way up and over, his armor feeling heavier than ever with the extra weight he is carrying.
Climb: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (3) - 5 = -2
Shondra Demarkus
Shondra struggles up the rock, emerging atop the pile. "Toss me the rope," she calls down, giving a glance over the other side.
Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Halders Isgood
Halders dives out of the way as the dwarf falls, bringing stalactites with him. Stone shards pelt the halfling. He pipes up once the dust settles; "Th- there was nothing there! honest to Abadar'n all that Ragnar" He helps the dwarf up, patting him hurridly; "There ya go, ol bones. Take a snifter of ye cure-all potion if'n you 'ave one."
Once everyone is ready, Halders will check the route again; "Yep, absolutely nuffin there! then attempts to climb the rope.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
Halders Isgood
What bonus to climb does a rope give?
Halders hauls himself up, and once reaching the top peers out into the widening room.
From the map it looks like a cave. Are we still under the tower rubble? Is this is part of the reason the tower fell?
climb: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (9) - 1 = 8

Lowers the DC for the rope, it's an extremely low DC anyway as it's just a small barricade that's been set up.
This large cave appears to have been recently scratched from
the hard-packed earth, and its ceiling is only five feet high.
Several tons of debris fill the western portion of the cave.
What appears to be the body of a man lies half buried under
the rubble near the north end of the cave.
You reckon that you are now directly below the ruined tower. The rubble bit on the Tower Exterior map and the rubble in this room are the same pile

Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Climb: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
This time it is Shondra who loses her footing, sliding back down the barricade. Trying it again, she looks sheepish as she slides back down. "Third time is the charm?" she says hopefully. Scrambling back up the slide, she manages to get over the top.
She looks at the half-buried body, hesitant to approach.
Halders Isgood
Halders looks back at the barricades, the trap and the recent scratchings;
"Oi, muckers. This'n aint no natural tower fallin'. I'm finkin somfing 'as caused the tower to fall and someone doesn't wan' us to find 'em"
He follows Shondra's gaze to the body, then glances around suspiciously;
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
"All clear big'un, go check'im out."

The body is a white-haired, balding human in now-tattered finery. He matches the description of the wizaed, Hunclay, who you'd been asked to find in connection with the towers collapse.
The only item of interest in his possession is a key ring with a pair of brass keys on it.
Nearby Halder's spots two Kobold bodies, each grasping a spade.
Halders Isgood
Following the tall folk, Halders pores over the body of the dead man. He fishes out the brass keyring.
He wanders over to the kobolds; "dya think 'Unclay was tellin the scalies t'dig 'oles an collapse the tower?"

The wounded dwarf scowls and sighs as he has to doff his armor yet again. He waits for the knotted rope to be setup and very carefully climbs the barricade (taking 10).
If rolls are required:
Climb #1: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (17) - 1 = 16
Climb #2: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Climb #3: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Climb #4: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Channel Positive Energy: 1d8 ⇒ 6
The dwarf send out a wave of healing to sooth his injuries and those of any around him. He gets his armor on quickly and frowns at the three bodies. He nods to Halders. "That is a possibility, but the real question is why and on who's orders." He shakes his head as he ponders the implications and inspects the kobold bodies."BAH! This is getting murkier and murkier. If the coin wasn't so good I would be on the first caravan out of town."
Halders Isgood
"Well, ol'unclay wasn't one of them discernin' types- leaving the ol Baron's loot for scalies. Once we parcel this out, ifn' ya wan'ta come back an investigate, I'm more an'appy to search for truth- so long as our benefactor pays sufficiently."
Halders holds up the keys; "an keys means locks, an' locks means secrets, an' secrets usually means treasure!"

After a few tries Ragnar manages to haul himself over the barricades.
As you inspect the bodies you all hear a noise coming from the tunnel to the north and see three kobolds approaching. As they see you they move to attack.

The two kobolds with spears hold back a moment while the archer behind them clambers onto the rubble and takes a shot at Galessa.

Its arrow hits her hard. 9 damage.
The two spear-kobolds then move forwards and attack Shondra and Galessa.

Galessa
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Galessa cried out in pain as the arrow hit home. She was lucky to not be dead already. Acting on pure instinct he dodged to the side of the incoming spear thrust, grabbed the spear and pulled the goblin so that she could stab it with her knife.

Ragnar takes a step behind Shondra to get a clear shot with his crossbow at the archer. He stradies himself, takes a deep breath and lines up the shot before letting loose."Filthy tunnel dwellers! Get back to your own holes!"

Ragnars bolt just misses the archer as she jumps out the way but then Galessa manages to cut down the kobold in front if her (yellow).
As Shondra fires her bow the kobold attacks with it's spear
AOO: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 121d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
..but it misses her and her arrrow kills it a second later.
For Halders the yellow and blue kobolds died before you went so happy for you to change onto the remaining one. I don't think anyone's cast detect magic on the daggers to check.
Halders Isgood
Halder's range for the daggers is only 10ft and running up to the named kobold goes against his philosophy for self preservation ;) ... if you are happy to let it happen, Halders will hold his turn until someone else is up in the Kobold's face. Then he'll move up and attack. I can re roll the attacks if you would prefer or can use what I have rolled.

No worries - will put Halders in delay so jump in whenever.
Seeing Shondra take out one of her comrades with a bow the lead Kobold takes a shot at her.

Light Crossbow, Deadly Aim: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
He frowns as the nimble arches sidesteps another shot.
"Ahhh this little bugger is too fast, can any of you slow him down?"

Shondra draws a breath, trying to block out the pain of the wound. She draws a bead on the kobold and fires.

Ragnar steps in front or Shondra to get between her and the kobold archer. He glaces at the human and grunts."Get down you are wounded!" He raises his buckler and braces himself. (Aid other, +2 AC for Shondra plus soft cover from his body?)
