I think you're far enough away that you can manage to hit both H1 and Origa in a line, but you'll have to basically be on the ground to get the angle.

Hunter 1 sees what's coming and dodges out of the way; the bolt singes his shoulder instead of hitting him center mass. Unfortunately (for Origa), his bulk blocks Origa's view of Katia, and she is unable to react in time. The bolt hits her full force and she yelps in surprise and pain, then narrows her eyes at Katia (uh oh, magic battle!).

Behind the screen:

Freyja's first shot puts an arrow in each of hunter 1's eye sockets (to be fair, ogre eye sockets are pretty big). The third arrow takes brute 1 in the shoulder, but the last two bounce harmlessly off its dull plate armor.

Trjega straight up tears hunter 2's throat out. It's gross.

Before brute #1 realizes what's happening, Randall is past him and giving him the charley horse of a lifetime.

Origa roars in frustration as another two of her minions go down. On the bright side (for her), at least there will be no friendly fire now. She swoops down to just out of Veldanis's reach and unleashes an enormous burst of sleet and ice from her hands, engulfing Veldanis, Trjega, and Katia and coming just short of Freyja. If her minions had any life in them, it is now gone as their bodies freeze solid.

Veldanis reflex: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Katia reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Trjega reflex: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27

Katia sees it coming and is able to duck (mostly) behind a pile of firewood. The cold still makes her fingers go instantly numb, but she knows it could have been much worse (18 damage). Veldanis, being just a few feet from the source of the spell, takes the full force of it to his face and upper body. He would start shivering if he could feel ... anything (36 damage).

Trjega looks at the others and wonders what their problem is (0 damage because evasion).

Katia grits her teeth. This oni mage is a b@@~% and a half. If she targets her with an area spell, like another lightning bolt, the mage might not be affected thanks to her spell resistance. But if Katia hits her with the spell she's thinking about, which would bypass the spell resistance, it might miss because of her displacement effect. And targeting her with a dispel magic to end the effect, if it even works, could be negated next round by simply casting it again--it's an inborn magic, after all, and probably has more than one casting per day in her. In fact it may even be a constant effect. She knows a lot about oni mages, but she doesn't know everything.

She sighs. "I'm gonna try something. Hopefully it works."

Since she was kind enough to drop to ground level... she thinks wryly, and casts a spell. A massive field of rubbery black tentacles rips forth from the Aether, writhing and undulating like an oil-slicked sea. Just looking at it makes Katia feel a little queasy, but she has to try.

Placing the 20ft radius area so that it ends with the oni mage. Marked it on the map.

The tentacles immediately whip out and try to grasp the ogre.

V takes a moment to stare at the lake of writhing tendrils, his jaw slack with both awe and horror. Finally he mutters, "That is so gross" before striding up to the oni mage and taking a big ol' swing.

I forgot about Origa's regeneration. Pretend you saw some of her wounds get less woundy.

Also, Katia murdered that knowledge check so she definitely knows that oni mages cannot cast displacement as a spell or SLA. She probably drank a potion or used a scroll while she was invisible. That's not to say she doesn't have another one, but it's not an innate ability.

Origa nailed her spellcraft check on black tentacles, so when she (barely) avoids being grabbed when they first appear, she knows she needs to get away from them quickly. She growls in frustration that she can't put Veldanis in his place, then flies 40' straight up (provoking from V). She fires a single arrow, which catches Katia in the shoulder (14 damage).

Meanwhile, brute #1 swings its sword vaguely in Randall's direction twice.

Rand is probably not the best symbol for redemption, all things considered, but he does his best by unleashing an insane flurry of piercing cobra strikes on the brute.

Combat Expertise is on, flanking, and spending a ki point for an extra attack. Style Strike also gives me a free trip attempt on the first attack if it's successful. I am so excited for ONE TURN to go completely feral with this guy and see his damage output.

The lovely forums double posted. I'll use the rolls from the first post.

Also, I'm not even going to add up the damage. Every roll was a hit, and the trip was successful too. XD

Randall turns brute #1 into a fine red mist.

Origa screams in frustration, momentarily seems unsure who to target, but then settles again on the biggest threat to Origa herself: Katia. She fires three electricity-infused arrows into Katia, who falls in a heap to the ground (which is thankfully only a few feet drop) (46 damage). Origa snorts in defiance.

Give me a DC16 con check for Katia.

Cursing, V considers rushing over and sticking a potion down her throat, but he's not terribly fast, and while he's wasting time fumbling a potion out, this ogre mage is going to decimate the rest of them.

AKA it will take 3 rounds for V to administer a potion. 1 round to get there, draw a potion and then sit there wasting his standard action like a dumbass because it takes a FULL ROUND to shove liquid in an unconscious person's mouth apparently, and then another round to actually Do The Thing.

Instead, he pulls out his bow and fires off a single shot.

Actually the fly spell-like ability keeps her floating so even if she'd gone unconscious sixty feet up, she wouldn't have fallen. However, it is still a good thing she was only a few feet up, because if she had gone unconscious sixty feet in the air, she'd bleed out up there with no one to stabilize her. Although, I suppose you could argue that since she's not conscious to make her Fly check to hover each round, she'd eventually descend, but the rules don't cover that eventuality so it'd be up to GM discretion.

Somewhere deep in her subconscious, Katia is eating biscuits and drinking tea and wondering what the f@*$ she's even doing here anymore, she's so damn squishy.

Freyja hasn't been this hurt since the dragon. She knows she can't handle another barrage like that from Origa, and her aim hasn't been very reliable lately, so she makes the unusual decision of opting for defense over offense. Gritting her teeth through the pain, she whispers the incantation for barkskin.

AC is now 30. That might save her, unless Origa crits again.

Rand shoves a potion that he definitely had in his inventory because Rand is way smarter than his player down Katia's throat.

Potion of CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3) + 3 = 10

He then steps in front of Katia, hoping to keep himself between her and the flying ogre while she gets herself in order.

You watch in dismay as more of the oni's wounds close up. Someone needs to find a way to put her down.

She continues to hover effortlessly in place, seemingly perfectly safe 40' above the ground. Her face is emotionless as she rains down three more arrows on Freyja. And it turns out that defense was the right call for Freyja, because the first arrow -- which would have pierced her throat -- instead bounced off of her magically hardened skin. Her luck doesn't last forever, though; the third arrow takes her in the thigh (another goddamn natty 20, but unconfirmed this time, which is a good thing because it would have killed her outright had it crit; 19 damage). Freyja is almost dead on her feet.

Cleaning up the tracker.

Katia awakens and quickly takes in the scene. Her mind races as she makes a grim calculation. Another volley will probably kill both her and Freyja.

She touches Rand's arm, and magic courses into his body, making him as buoyant as she is. She looks him with fire in her eyes and growls, "Go kill that b+*!~."

Casting fly on Randall! WHOOSH!

Ignore all that, I'm an idiot. I could swear I memorized fly for this specific purpose but I did not.

She wants desperately to weaken the woman so she can properly slam into her with a spell, but there's no time. It's now or never.

Without thought, her Harrow cards are in her hands and she draws three of them as she weaves together the threads of a spell that will either work, and save them all, or fail, and doom them to almost certain death.

Using Harrow Casting.

Card 1 Suit: 1d6 ⇒ 2 = Dex (Wasted)
Card 1 Alignment: 1d9 ⇒ 6 = CN

Card 2 Suit: 1d6 ⇒ 2 = Dex (Wasted)
Card 2 Alignment: 1d9 ⇒ 8 = NE

Card 3 Suit: 1d6 ⇒ 6 = Cha (+1 Save DC)
Card 3 Alignment: 1d9 ⇒ 6 = CN (No Change)

Casting baleful polymorph on the oni mage. She needs to make a DC 24 Fortitude save. She's being turned into a flying squirrel, so even though she's in the air, she won't get the +4 bonus for being in a deadly environment (she can glide harmlessly to the ground). If she fails, she then needs to make a DC 24 Will save or gain the mental ability scores and alignment of a flying squirrel.

Origa shuts her eyes tight, gnashes her teeth, and shakes her head violently. Katia begins to think her spell might be taking hold, but then Origa's eyes fly back open and she is still decidedly an ogre mage. There is a slight bright side, however; the shimmeriness that made her so hard to hit has dissipated (a potion of displacement is CL 5 so it technically should have expired last round, but no one would have hit her anyway so it didn't end up mattering).

Origa had been fixated on putting the ranger down, but now that she notices that the witch has regained consciousness, she begins to swing her bow back in Katia's direction.

Randall sees the shimmer stop and scowls. "There you are, motherf@!*er," he growls, and voips out of existence. He reappears in mid-air in a snapping strike to her face.

Using Dimensional Assault to teleport-slap (well, mechanically it's Piercing damage so a teleport-stab, I guess?) this biotch in the mouth! Stunning Fist, too, so if this hits she needs to make a DC 21 Fortitude Save.

Even though Origa has already seen Randall pull this trick, she still seems taken by surprise by it. Her eyes close momentarily (and involuntarily) every time some of her wounds heal, and Rand -- calm despite the seemingly dire situation -- manages to strike at that precise moment. As Origa's eyes open, he is there; a loud crack erupts from her neck as her head snaps back in response to his strike. Her eyes roll back, her arms go limp, and her bow falls forty feet to the ground below. Her flight spell keeps her aloft, but her body hangs limply in the air.

Randall probably just saved two lives. +16 on that save and I rolled a 2. Also, I moved him on the map to the nearest adjacent square.

BTW, don't forget the oni mage dropped her bow when she got stunned! :D

Cards begin to swirl around Katia as she flies up near her stunned adversary in a Hail Mary move, pulls forth three new cards from the deck, and casts a spell.

If I'm gonna keep using this damn ability I need to come up with a better system than the dice, it's driving me nuts. I wish there was a way to add the Harrow deck to Roll20 without like... a shitload of work.

HOLY SHIT I would've failed without Harrow Casting! GotDAMN.

DC 20 Reflex save. Shame stunned doesn't affect your Reflex saves.

SOOOOO I misread the Harrow Casting ability. She doesn't gain the double benefit from a card unless it matches her alignment exactly. Her alignment is CG, not NG, so the card bonus doesn't double, so she fails the caster level check BY ONE.

Her flames wash over the oni mage, and her stomach drops like a lead brick when she sees them wash over her adversary and leave her unscathed.

Freyja was dead. She knew she was dead, especially when she couldn't manage to hit the enormous oni with five damn arrows. She can regularly put arrows through the eye sockets of hobgoblins; why has she struggled so much to hit non-goblinoids?

She sees one of Origa's fingers twitch and realizes this is her one and only shot. She pushes the doubt out of her mind and aims her bow carefully.

"Hey, you ugly b%@~%! Lookin' for this?" He waggles the bow in front of him as she comes out of her stupefied state.

Hoping my taunts will draw her ire and make her attack Rand for a round instead of either of the more wounded members.

Behind the screen:

Origa regains control of her body and looks down at Rand, hatred burning in her eyes. She is also suffering from a broken jaw, skull, and multiple ribs and bleeding profusely (mostly internally since Freyja can't manage to hit her). - potion of neutralize poison
- scroll of blessing of fervor
- scroll of prayer
- wand of greater magic weapon (29 charges)
- an erotic onyx statuette of two hobgoblin men embracing (630 gp)

Origa's bow is a large +1 shock composite longbow (+5 str). On the bodies, you find:

- 2x cloak of resistance +1
- 2x large mwk composite shortbow (+5 str)
- 4x large mwk greatsword
- 2x large rhino hide
- 2x ring of protection +1
