Cilik cleans the floor and closes distance.
The bespectacled orc tosses the packet. Out comes brownish powder that Craft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14 utterly fails to do anything!
Cursing, he grabs a vial, mixes it in a flash and hurls it at Blodgett: ATK: 1d20 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 1 = 14 but the flask misses completely!
The blood ooze rolls forward and a pair of pseudopods snake out towards Kaleb and Blodgett:
Pseudopod v. Kaleb: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27 for DMG: 1d12 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 and Presistant Bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Continuing to focus on the ooze, Cilik hurls a trio of missiles into the mass. It's the best spell he's ever cast, and it obviously harms the monster.
The orc steps back again, trying to buy some space. He grabs a concoction and hurls it at Kaleb: Bomb: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 for Persistent Acid: 1d6 ⇒ 1 and 1 Acid splash. It splashes on the ooze, but the orc seems to think it's got a lot of life left in it.
Indeed, a pseudopod lashes out at Blodgett: ATK: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27 for DMG: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 and Persistent Bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 6.
The creature then begins to pulsate! Kaleb, Blodgett, and even the orc each feel their very blood being pulled by the ooze. Suddenly their ears, noses, and mouths begin to bleed and the blood flies forth to reinvigorate the ooze! [ooc]Kaleb, Blodgett, and the orc each take Slashing: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3) = 7
The orc's laugh is maniacal; either in spite of the horror, or because of it.

I think per slack the party isn't dying any more? What's the HP situation?
Dungeon Master S - 2e
Able to catch their breath, the party takes a moment to look around.
For defeating the Alchemist and the the ooze, the party earns 160 XP.
The victim in on the table is too far gone to save without very powerful magic. In a matter of seconds, he's quite dead.
Upset at his death, but happy to be alive, the party searches the two rooms.
Of immediate interest are the valuables:
There is a trove of books and writings, all written in the orcish tongue.
Finally an old set of delivery instructions is pinned to the north wall of the room. It includes directions to a "Spite’s Cradle." The directions start at “Hallod’s drop-off stump.” This discovery, as well as you stopping the experiments of "The Sculptor" earns each hero 80 XP and 1 Hero Point.
Dungeon Master S - 2e
Kaleb can't tell if the face is familiar to him, it's awfully mangled. It looks like the cause of death was vivisection.
Penryn Shortfall

Penryn studies the delivery directions a bit and says, "Well, looks like we found our next bread crumb in the Maguffin recipe...or some other mangled metaphor. Anyway, since the unnatural warping effect was clearly coming from here, maybe these directions will tell us who it was going through in town. Or something. First, though, let's figure out what we found here that might be useful."
Any of the doodads on the loot list magical? Can someone do the identify procedure on 'em?
Dungeon Master S - 2e
These are both magical. They're the only things here which are.
