BLD save, TN 7: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1) = 4 = 3, MEGAfail
Pilot!, TN 5: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4) = 9 = 7, success
Wraith never really believed in eating right, or exercising, or taking care of herself, or other dumb things like that. She just wrote checks and assumed her body would cash them.
Suddenly slammed into an acceleration couch with her vision alternating between black blurs and red blurs, it made her begin to question her lifestyle. Having one's lungs try to secede from the union via one's ear holes can put a new perspective on things.
But as the acceleration fades and the HUD opens up to clear, cool space, her natural skill takes hold and the brain and hands start to move. Although battlemechs are almost never associated with the word dancing, a head full of blood and eyes full of water are but poor coin as the White Angel majestically descends from the heavens.
Some might even call it a thing of beauty.

While booting up your mech’s systems, the Comm chimes.
+++”Welcome to AE-SaTTS. Advanced Electronic Sensor and Tactical Targeting System. Warning. Any attempt to copy this software WILL result in catastrophic system damage.”+++ It says in a feminine voice with a slight British accent.
+++”A vague disclaimer is no one’s friend.”+++ Cypher adds.
Your HUD updates to show: Probe active, ECM active, C3 online...Four members detected. Enhanced targeting enabled. DI system recording activated

Gunner Nelson |

Gunner hears the message over the commnet, knowing that the software is likely Comstar, which meant Star League tech, which was way above anything he studied in school.
Gunner copies.... he says, checking his gun for about the thousandth time. His first major combat after being cleared wasn't going to be a cakewalk.

Heinrick "Viper" Muller |

bld TN 8: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4) = 6 5 Failed seriously
As his vision greys out, a sudden movement of the ship sends his head into the crash couch blacking him out.
pilot TN 4: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 Well, If I survive this, I will get a piloting tic. :)
Shaking his head clear and feeling the cocoon rapidly spinning he keys his mike.
+++ I think my cocoon hit the launch bay on way out. I am headed somewhere, will catch up on the ground. +++
I swear the dice are trying to kill me. I have this kind of luck in each game I have played.

The Devil "Louis Cypher" |

Three others compose the assault team.two men and a woman. Astrid introduces them as. ”This is Arjun, Hugo, and Lin.” All are wearing the white snow camo smocks but it is obvious that they have heavier armor underneath. The two men carry M42B rifles. The woman has a Mauser 960 Assault system rifle.
”Need anything?” Asks Astrid as she flips open the lid of a black metal container with her boot. Revealing a plethora of weapons and armor. Including a Gunther MP-20 SMG, Imperator 2894A1 SMG, Blazer Laser rifle. Sunbeam Laser pistol, A FedSuns Infantry kit, A Lyran Alliance Infantry kit, and several winter camo smocks.
While gearing up.

Lord Kyle Lambert |

Perception, TN 4: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7
Kyle's eyes widen as he sees all the gear. "Just your com number." He says with a wink before quickly inspecting the gear. "Is that a laser rifle? I've always wanted to try one of these." he says with a smirk before picking a Blazer up along with a Sunbeam for a side arm along with several spare power packs. Next he grabs a winter camo smock and begins putting it on over the armored vest he was already wearing. "So whats the plan on the ground?"
Kyle also checks the charge on the power packs to ensure they are fully powered up.

The Devil "Louis Cypher" |

+++”I’m glad you asked Mr. lambert.”+++
Cypher replies.
+++”I think you especially will appreciate this. By replacing our sensor signature with that of Gungnir’s Point dropship It will appear to the defenders at the satellite station that reinforcements have arrived. Combined with Spoofed comm traffic and the obscuring blizzard conditions, it should allow you to walk right up to their position. Once there you will neutralize the opposition. My team will then set up a direct link to my console. And I will work my magic on their network. Guess I am ‘that’ smart after all.”+++
Astrid rolls her eyes. And says +++”Imagine having to work with him all the time.”+++
+++"I heard that."+++ Says Cypher.
Smiling slightly Astrid says.+++"You were meant to."+++

DM Dickie |

Apologies, 2020 has been really rough.
Most of the lance manages to hit their planned LZ dropping within contact range of the Point's retreating scout elements. Sensors immediately identify signatures matching light 'mechs and a vehicle, but the weather makes visual contact a little difficult.
Viper, unfortunately, comes in hot and far off course. The cocoon fragments with him inverted and burning hard. Fortunately, the Wasp is agile enough that the moment Viper's able to gain control he puts it down on what looks like a solid field of snow. A few moments after he settles down a loud crack is picked up by his external pickups. A sheet of ice beneath the snow gives way and he plunges into an ice cave.
Viper needs to make another piloting check to extricate himself from the ice cave's narrow entrance above. Once out he will be able to rejoin the group one turn later.
Everyone except Viper can arrange themselves in the square drawn on the Roll20 map, which is current. Now is a good time for skill checks (especially tactics rolls) to prepare for a fight. Consider yourselves to be in combat mode and take one action each.
As soon as I'm able I will setup the commando team up, it should be within 24 hours and the map will be the same page (just below the current battlefield.

Heinrick "Viper" Muller |

As he hits the atmosphere, Viper tightens up his helmet, and as the cocoon fragments with him head down he triggers one side of the thruster pack to right himself relying on instincts to keep him upright.
After landing and ejecting the extra thruster pack, the ice collapses.
pilot: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 4) = 10 DC 3
As he nimbly extracts tooth from the ice cave, he takes a moment to bring up his sensor system to locate the LZ, then he starts to make his way there.
+++Viper stuck the landing, and is on his way to meet up. Not sure the situation, so check your IFF on all units you are targeting+++

***Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!*** Wraith jams on the comms. As soon as her feet touched dirt her powerful jump jets roared into life, sending the heavy mech back into the air, as if it rejected gravity and all the limitations therein.
***Good job, Viper! If we're attacked by hordes of angry ice rinks I'm sure you'll beat their hoop!" she kindly jibes at the pilot of the other jump-capable mech.
She uses her time airborne to get a visual scan of the surrounding territory, letting her sensors get a fresher grab on the situ.

DM Dickie |

Okay, the map for this is same page, below the 'mech situation.
Despite the nasty weather, the landing craft is able to set down at the GP controlled site with little trouble. The landing is rather bumpy. Getting a visual of the site during landing is difficult, but there are more than a handful of individuals moving about on the ground. A wall surrounds the compound, and other than the large dish and watchtower, there are only a few single-story buildings.
Parka covered heads poke around corners or over the wall to get a glimpse of the new arrivals. The shuttle's comms crackle with a burst of static followed by a man's voice hailing the ship. +++Glad you could make it! Cypher promised a second team, don't know what took you so long!+++

Heinrick "Viper" Muller |

+++Ack. . . I got Tooth up to a full on hustle, and will be rejoining as soon as I can. Wraith, Jester, check IFF on incoming, as I don't want to eat laser+++
Viper continues to drive tooth's sensors hard on the run, taking full advantage of the Beagle probe setting on the sensor system of the satellite.

DM Dickie |

The shuttle's comms crackle with static and a new voice speaks, +++Challenge: Freya.+++
I have you outside the small craft, but technically you're still inside, I just didn't want to leave that a confusing mess. Orpheus and Gunnar haven't checked in since I got back, but I'll give them a little more time before I move on. Feel free to throw dialogue and flavor up, always fun to read no matter what, lol.

The Devil "Louis Cypher" |

During the shuttle flight Assault team members Arjin and Lin are busy checking their weapons while Hugo is working with some very high end comm. equipment. Astrid is silent throughout the trip. After giving the Minolta sniper rifle the once over. She attaches a silencer to her heavy pistol then ejects the magazine, and flicks out several rounds with her thumb before picking them up and reloading.

DM Dickie |

Sensors pick up the oncoming scouts ahead of the mechwarriors. A fairly standard hover APC is flanked by what appear to be a Spider and a Valkyrie.
Map has been opened up for the MWs. When the shooting starts for the tactical team, and it will, let's be honest, we will do it with group Init because there are a lotta folks.
Arranged in order, we will keep the whole encounter:
Wraith: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 6 = 12 ITN 6
Jester: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 4) + 4 = 10 ITN 6
Orpheus: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10 ITN 6
Sp Init: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 3) + 5 = 11 ITN 4
Valk Init: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 1) + 5 = 8 ITN 4
Viper: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 15 ITN 6
APC Init: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (3, 5) + 5 = 13 ITN 5

Lord Kyle Lambert |

Perception, TN4: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 Nope
Kyle will take note of his gear as well, taking special care to review the Blazer and the Sunbeam he got from their current employers, ensuring that it is properly functioning and at full power/ammo capacity. As he does he continues to flirt with Astrid shamelessly.
"So, what do you say after this operation we take some time to get to know each other a little better?"

The Devil "Louis Cypher" |

+++Who is this? No challenge was agreed on. Dropship is going full weapons hot in 10 seconds if I don't get an explanation.+++
Cypher's voice booms over the comms.
Several of the GP troops at the station should notice targeting tone on the sensors.

Anton "Orpheus" Kunegund |

Orpheus rushes forward, checking the satelite feed and ensuring that it's providing advanced telemetry and tactical information while his native targeting computer remains offline.
"+++Do you two think you can take out the Spider and APC? I should have enough firepower to ruin the Valkyrie's day.+++"

The Devil "Louis Cypher" |

Opening the shuttle cargo door, allowing a burst of freezing cold air and wisps of blowing snow to circulate in the cabin.
+++"Send two men got some special supplies we need help unloading."+++ Astrid says over the comm.
Then turning to the others.
"When they get inside we take them out, quietly" She holds up the heavy pistol with silencer. Nodding to Hugo who raises a silenced SMG.
"The storm should cover any sounds. The rest of you be ready in case we have to go loud." Glancing at the Minolta sniper rifle. "If all goes well, once these two are down I will take out one or two more while the team makes entry." The toothy smile appears, but her eyes are as cold as the air.

The Devil "Louis Cypher" |

+++Mr. Muller, I show you currently 290 meters North/Northwest of the AO. Continue on your current heading of One - Three - Zero. You should arrive in less than 20 seconds.+++
290 meters or just over 1 turn movement. (Wasp run 9 = 270 meters) You will arrive on map at Hex 0509 (green square) on left upper side of map) on turn 2.
