A third man shows up from down the hall. "All hail the might of Oord! These non-believers have the spines of cuttle fish!" Lightfoot feels a sense of dread welling up in the back of his mind.
"Ha ha! I will take them down!" the tiefling cackles, stepping over to the doorway and releasing two translucent missiles--one at Professor Sparkles and one at Lightfoot.

The masked human drops his pistol and draws a massive sledge from behind his back, bringing it down toward Lightfoot. The agile ysoki dances out of the way. The hammer clangs upon the floor loudly.

Earlier entries report moving several collected samples to the medical bay for additional testing and that a few of those tests on the materials had caused small explosions.
