As I mentioned back in post #708, Parkhtu's initiative changed to +5 when he recently leveled up, so I believe I am first instead. With his curse, there isn't much he'll be able to do anyway...
Parkhtu will bestow hope as a swift action, handing out DR1/- to the party, then he'll stagger forward 30' (yay speed boost) and rely on his high AC and uncanny dodge to protect him and the party.

Parkhtu didn't cast haste, it's not exactly on his list. He did his bestow hope swift action, which gives DR 1. We need to free the dwarves first. What kind of shape are they in? If I channel to heal would that help them?
Heal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 to evaluate their condition
Are they able to ride the mobats on their own? If possible, I'd prefer if they find a place here to wait for us to finish our mission rather than send them on their own. We know the path to the svirfneblin village after landing, they'd be on their own otherwise.
GM Engleaktig
|
There are six dwarves in varying degrees of health. Most of them suffer from starvation, dehydration, and exposure; so a channel would not help.
You take them out of their cages. One is mostly in good health and offers to watch over the others whilst you complete your mission. "Thank you! Thank you, all! Give Zohir what for. I shall remain and watch over my brethren. We'll await your triumphant return!"
As he speaks, however, his expression reveals particular worry for a couple of his still-living companions.
With his skill at healing, Parkhtu can tell that two of the dwarves suffer from ghoul fever and are 2 days from death.
Nonlethal damage from thirst or starvation cannot be recovered until the character gets food or water, as needed—not even magic that restores hit points heals this damage.

Parkhtu will look around for some containers that can hold liquid, and will fill as much as he can by casting create water. "We'll be back as soon as we're done. Is there anything you can tell us about other creatures that you've seen up here, things we should expect to run into?"
Kelvor of the Shundar-Quah
|
"Parkhtu, will those two be OK?" asks Kelvor, pointing to the two who are worst off. The two with ghoul fever.
Parkhtu Akhen-Amun
|
To the dwarves, "Thank you for the info, that matches what we've seen so far in our journey here to rescue you."
To Kelvor, "Their bodies are being ravaged by a disease, which will turn them into ghouls if we let it kill them. But that's not going to happen. I don't have the ability to simply cure the disease, but I can repair the damage it is doing to their health every day and buy them time to get over the disease. I can help them cope with it if we stay in one place for a few days, but I think we'd be better off getting them back to Davarn as quickly as possible. I'll keep them healthy, or at least healthy-ish, until then. Now, let's take care of business here so we can get back to the surface!"
Kelvor of the Shundar-Quah
|
Kelvor takes the lead.
"Shall I break it down?"
GM Engleaktig
|
Kelvor taps the door as he asks his question and it swings open a bit--sort of like those kitchen doors in restaurants that swing open in either direction.
The interior of the tower looks like it has grown into its current shape over the years, rather than having been carved out of the stone. The walls and floors are smooth— no tool marks are evident. Elaborate rugs cover the floor. Several plush chairs and a sofa form a cozy circle near the room’s center, while a line of stern-looking statues overlooks the room.
Down a ways (and out of your line of sight) a voice cries out: "Hey! You killed my cousins at the undead corral!"
You already encountered creatures like the speaker, so I'm happy to say that you recognize a redcap.

Bhuukka gives the evil fey a nasty glare, magically compelling it to attack an ally. Unfortunately, the redcap is so filled with vitriol that it (apparently) considers none to be an ally. Thus, it shrugs off the compulsion.
__________
Manaria takes a tactical approach and becomes invisible. The Jinkins seem to understand that this is a great threat to them.
__________
Kelvor gives nearly as good as he gets--delivering 59 HP of rage-fueled damage to the redcap. Through a bloody visage, the redcap smiles and says, "Nice. Can you take another one of those?" And the fey laughs cruelly.

Room descriptions:
Area Q3 (the room with the double doors that you entered and where you fought the redcap): The interior of the tower looks like it has grown into its current shape over the years, rather than having been carved out of the stone. The walls and floors are smooth— no tool marks are evident. Elaborate rugs cover the floor. Several plush chairs and a sofa form a cozy circle near the room’s center, while a line of stern-looking statues overlooks the room.
Area Q5 (where the redcap and jinkins came from): A dark, wooden dining table dominates this cavernous chamber, while a short, raised stage overlooks the room from the northern end. Lovely silver and porcelain fixtures fill cabinets along the walls, and a stairwell in the eastern wall leads below.
Area Q2 is where you fought the topiary and shredskins.

Room Q4: This lavatory holds a row of wardrobes (essentially, these are super-fancy lockers), as well as a counter of soaps, colognes, and cosmetics. The room's most prominent feature, behind a gauzy curtain, is a massive marble bath. Clever use of magic and piping provides nearly endless water in a variety of temperatures.
The various scented oils and perfumes are worth a total of 300 gp. Some of the oils and other items look... different... (This party is pretty savvy. Some of the items are magical. There are 10 items to identify here. How much time (if any) do you wish to devote to the endeavor?)
Anyone who wishes may attempt a perception check.

"Whoa there a second, you're leaving a blood trail even I could follow!"

Channel energy: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8 +4 to Parkhtu (fey foundling)
Kelvor is now down 22, Parkhtu down 3. After life link pulls 10 more hp, he'll channel again.
Channel energy: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5) = 7 +4 to Parkhtu
Kelvor is now down 5, Parkhtu 2. Perfect! The life link will pull the last 5 hp of damage from Kelvor, and Parkhtu will use a lay on hands to heal himself one last time.
