In House
Julus tries to speak but the strength goes out of him and he faints. You see his skin go greener and throbbing lines of green under his skin.
Robbet says.
"He said he forgot his Axe, so he set off to come back here and get it. Then we heard him call out. I thought he had slipped, fallen you know. I left the others stayed to finish the tree. But when I got to him. He was holding this woman in green, she took one look at him and pushed him away and ran into the trees. I chased her but she was just gone. When I got back to Julus he was like this. But he was smilling, like he was happy. Whats got into him has he been bitten?"
He asks a tall elf who had come over to see to Julus. She is Lyrondel the village healer,
"Take him to my house and place him in the sick room. I need to see what ails him so."
Two of the larger men of the village heft up Julus and follow Lyrondel to her house.

Rei looks around at the group, the healer leaving with the green man, and the crowd, confusion showing on her face. She seems outside of her element. "I think...I think there is something that I should check on, but I want to be here to help. Are you all going to be staying in the village for a little bit?"
I'm happy to RP it too, just might be a delay before I can get to a computer again this week
Tarial
Tarial was not terribly happy about the idea that whatever had happened with the tree and the corpse could be repeated. Hopefully the healer could do something before they needed to fetch a sword or an axe.
Alyssa Fox
Alyssa listens to the discussion and is stunned to hear the Fox clan mentioned as a founding family. She quietly mumbles to Reimaka "My family name is Fox. But.... Does that mean the Fox clan?" Know-History: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19 No knowledge-Local but I do have History. Not a great roll though. "Maybe I need to ask my folks."
Wow! I'm away from the board for a few days and 2 dozen posts get missed? Sorry. Is there an app for this?
Valerie Kvalheim
Valerie ran back inside of her house, past the main room and up the stairs to the second floor to the rooms. She threw open the door to her father's room then paused. She hadn't been in there often, in fact she could count the times she had on one hand. She had been born in their room... and her mother died in this room. That had been the last time she enter this room... till now. Walking in she stayed away from the master bed, the place her mother had taken her last breath about seven years ago. Her father never remarried. According to him Valerie's mother was the love of his life and he said you only get that once.
But those words where something to ponder on for another time. Right now, Valerie needed Coldfyre. Cold iron burned fey, and if this woman was truly fey then she would need the blade. Opening her father's wardrobe as a place to start, Valerie began to look through her father's room for Coldfyre. She did so as respectfully as possible as to not make a mess. If things had been different she would have simply asked for the blade, but Valerie was too worried her father would try and stop her... and she didn't want anyone else to get hurt...

If your away, then that could work, I will PM you the info about her short trip home.
:) I think it would be a good idea
There was talk, of times passed great greats who could change, who the family tails said had the gift of fox form. But they went wild and into the woods, never to be seen again. Or so they day.
you find the blade under the bed, rapped up in your mothers wedding dress, rapped in your baby blanket. It seems your father has kept the things he also loves moves safe.
Your follow the healer to her home where Julus is placed on a bed,
"Yes Jediah if you could makes some, crush them into a past and place on his lips."
She then gos to a small bookshelf of hand writen books and starts looking over the tomes. When she gets to a very old looking one she takes it to a table.
Looking at.
If you look, inside down you see writing and a hand drawing of a woman in a long dress. It in monotone so its hard to know if she is in green but the evish writing talks of green.
"This here is my great, great, grandmothers notes on healing. Like all of us after we write down our lifes work. Here she stalks of a great evil that befell the village. A green illness that drove thoe with it mad. There skin and blood would be come like Bark and sap. Their minds would think only on getting into to the woods, braking bonds. Its says some who had seen the infected swear they had seen a demoness or wood fey in green A beauty irresistible to any who meet here. That a kiss would doom the soul. Then something about locking up and night? Its hard to read the rest, this page as water damage. But she did find a way to fend off the green sickness for a time."
Lyrondel the village healer makes a pultis with the instructions from the book and places it on the sick mans chest. The Green of his skin seems to recede and his skin takes on a normal hue a little.
"Well that one I can make, but it uses a root I can only get in the deep woods. So if another is afflicted I will need to make a trip."
She goes back to the book.
"This treatment is good for 5 or 6 days, to holt the green sickness, but then. He will go made and try to make his way into the woods"
She looks up
"Its odd, she says the sickness was ended when 'She' was banished. I have no idea what that means"
Tarial
Sighing, Tarial replied, "He met some woman in green, and she used him to try and get a bag guarded by the undead." Who may well have been the last victim of whatever this disease was. OK...so they couldn't help anyone else who got infected. Wonderful.
"Does it say how long someone will have before the disease sets in without any treatment?"

We can carry on this, but want to do a little time jump.
Out side the healing house, the elders of the village meet and head of to the hall. They will in a privet meeting talk over the events of the day. The summer party is canceled and villages are told to go home.
The villages in the outside woodland houses are told to come into the stockade. The summer party Tents are emoted for them to use. The hunters come back and say they cut down the tree. They sow nothing more. No woman in green or for that matter larger creatures like dear.
Night will come soon, so tell me where you are.
Reimaka
While the others are discussing what to do, Rei slips out and away from the group. As she leaves she calls back "I am going to run home fast to make sure my family is ok, and see if they know anything about what's going on. I'll be back soon"
She sprints away, out of the village before anyone can stop her.

The old vixens who took you in as a child, take you outside from the Fox burrow and sits with you.
WhiteTip
[b]"We did not tell you for fear you would leave us. But from what you say of the two legs in green. Then I must tell you, your clan and your story. The tail I was told by my mother and her mother going back to when the two lags 1st came here. Your fox Clan came with them not all but some. They helped cut down the great, They helped clear the land and they helped burn the scrub. So that the two legs could build wood caves to live in. But not all the fox clan came, some came later and did what they should have not. They dug a deep worran in a place they should not have. By the old stones deep in the woods. There something was waiting, something angry. Angry that the two legs did not respect the old ways. So This thing of green came to call and found the Fox kin. One by one it took them all, sending back some to carry the others away. You we saved, left we save you from her in green. I am sorry I did not say before, but what good would it have done. You where happy and grow up strong, a good hunter for your cubs. wag goodby to the two legs, come live and stay with us in your true form. There will be nothing but sadness there"[.b]

Finally back from vacation. Will be able to be more active again
Rei is returning to the village outskirts still in fox shape, to see what the others are up to. I'll just assume that she's aware of anything that the others do outside as a group and post when she has decided to act.
Alyssa Fox
Thinking that there may be information available about the symbols on the foundation, and the rod, Alyssa returns to copy both on some paper. She keeps them on separate lines. Will be changing prepared spells tomorrow to include Read Magic.
When the elders head to the hall Alyssa considers trying to sneak in or have her Familiar sneak in. She decides against it knowing she would be spotted and told to leave, and if Little Bit was noticed her folks would recognize the bird and be upset. She calls the bird to her and tells it to get some sleep. Alyssa knows she will have to sleep but the familiar can watch during the night hours, and more importantly, wake her through the empathic link they share.
Alyssa returns to her home and waits for her parents. When they arrive she projects calm regardless of how she really feels. "What can you share? You know I'm not just a little girl anymore, and knowing more of what is going on means I'll have a better chance of surviving whatever is coming. Do you know of the magic on the foundation stone under the Kvalheim's house?"
GM_Panic
The others see Valerie come out of her house with sword of all things on her belt. She walk towards the woods you can see the hunters come back. Hiluric the head of the hunters is taking to a village group of elders.
Valerie's father is one, on seeing her he brakes off the talking and walks to her.
"That sword"
He looks said but nods his head.
"I did not want you to come of age this way, Valerie. But, well, the village is in danger, many ware worried and scared. And with calling everyone to come behind the stockade. We need to show force, that they can be protected. I know your good with that blade. By right its yours. I give it to you now. We are Kvalheim and we are a founding family. It is our responsibility to lead and protect. My place is with the elders tonight, talking about what to do. Your is to stand my Guard. I know your young but so was I when my faither asked me to."
he means what he says and you have never seen him look so worried yet determined.
"I need you to stand watch tonight, by the lake side, by the boats. Go find your friends. Recruit them to aid you. That Jediah is a big lad, he will be an asset. The others even if they are just a eyes to watch the dark. Take them to Rev the blacksmith, tell him I sent you and ask him to some quarter staffs or dagger. I think he has a sling or two as well."
He takes your hand.
"Be safe but do you duty. Protect the village. Lead and protect"
he kisses you once on the cheek then turns and walks to the long building of the elders.
As he goes, Jediah walks up to you and asks.
"So are we going to head into the woods?" Jediah looks excited. "A secret mission!"
They are as shocked as you are. They say no they did not, but your mothers says. There was a hermit when I was young, He lived by an old tree, and told us of the time before the village. He said it was founded with magic and was a magic place. He had an old bad with a rode it in, said it was magic.
As you come to the village and get close to keep an eye on it, you see
Jediah walks up to Valerie and asks.
"So are we going to head into the woods?" Jediah looks excited. "A secret mission!"

Stealth: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (15) + 18 = 33
Rei is present in the village, she's just not really visible right now. Feel free to open the spoiler above for player knowledge, but if your PC can't meet the perception roll just please remember that your character doesn't get to see it.
Alyssa Fox
Alyssa accepts what her parents tell her. She was hoping for more, but the detail on the hermit might mean something. "Thank you. I think we need more, but maybe if we could just understand the symbols on the stone and the rod it would help. But there seems to be something missing. I'm going to go back out and find Valerie. The stone was in the Kvalheim's home. There might be more information somewhere."
Guess I'm going back out to find Valerie.
Valerie Kvalheim
At first upon seeing her father catch her red-handed with the family sword made Valerie worry, but when he spoke Valerie swelled with pride to the point tears started to well up at the corner of her eyes. "I'll make you proud." Valerie declared to her father as he turned to leave.
"We'll be watching by the lake." Valerie answered. She smiles to Berold and nods. "Lets get the rest of our friends together. We need to get to Rev and get in place." She told them.
with that Valerie went with the friends she had to seek out the rest.
Tarial
Tarial wandered over to join the others, having snuck out of the house earlier.
Appologies for the shortness - feeling under the weather.
GM_Panic
Ill let you all catch up and one ready head to Rev.
The Blacksmith is working hard, others are there, getting arms to stand on the Stock-aid gates and wall. Rav looks up as you come close. He sees the blade on Valerie's hip.
"So your fathers has you on guard as well, with company I see, well what can I help you with Valerie?"
Korliss Ironscale
"So, what is the plan here? Is there a monster or wrongdoer to fight? More evil trees and fey women?"
Korliss and Grumsch fall in with the others, noticeably ignoring the weapons several of the youths now sport.
Alyssa Fox
Finally spotting the others around the blacksmith, Alyssa joins the group. "We need to protect each other. Don't let anyone wander off. Everybody should pair up."
Tarial
Tarial looked around to see who was there, and if anyone seemed likely to want to team up with her. She wasn't the most effective in terms of fighting - in fact, she was almost useless - and she didn't want to impose on one of the others unless they felt strong enough to make up for that.
Alyssa Fox
Alyssa looks around for other non-melee types and notices Tarial. "Tarial, Can you pair with me? I'm not a combatant so won't be right up in the fighting unless everything goes wrong...."
Tarial
Grinning in relief, Tarial said, "Sounds good to me. We can try and avoid getting into trouble together." Considering for a moment, she added, "Not normally how I like to do stuff, but I think getting into trouble here will be a bit too exciting."
Reimaka
She felt a strong urge to swap forms and join them, but then she remembered her promise to WhiteTip and held her form and her place on the roof just watching, with her tail twitching in anticipation.
Valerie Kvalheim
"We're suppose to keep watch on the boats by the lake." Valerie told the group and the smith. "We're not going back to the tree till our watch is over. We can't." She told them. "Father told me to say they we're suppose to get what weapons you can give us till our watch is over." Valerie explained to Rav.
Tarial
Tarial picked up a sling. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing.
