I've put Hellih next to the opposite wall. The monster will be between him and the exit which should give extra motivation ;)

The party arranges themselves and readies for combat, moving gingerly around the armor. Steev and Patterson look at each other over the fallen captain. The others ring the room.
Looks like you're well-arrayed for combat. Kai and Hermena may still set themselves. Someone turn off/unplug/disturb the battery and this time let's everyone roll their own initiative.

Warning: I am headed to GenCon on Wednesday. I will be incommunicado until Tuesday August 6. Steev will keep fighting the ghost, trying to keep anyone else from harm until he's down, then he will use RP to stay in the fight until the baddie is gone. He's fiercely protective of his crew.

Kai moved into the room, still trying to find a comfortable way to carry and aim the artillery laser. How did Patterson wield this thing?
Soldiers and exocortex mechanics are sworn not to tell anyone else about the gyrostabilizer controls.
Hermena
|
Hermena takes her Diasporan laser out to the hallway, gets on one knee, and takes aim at the power armor prison of her foe.
Thanks for putting up with my absence, I'm back from vacation now and should be able to post more reliably.

Awesome. Welcome back.
New image on slide 6.
Hellih shoots the cable. It sparks; the force field flickers and dies. A ghostly figure rises unfurling from the armor. It's pale and skeletal with glowing red eyes. Long-nailed fingers claw at the air and a screech pierces your very minds.

Kai grimaced as the apparition's wail cut into his mind. Concentrating on ignoring it, he leveled the artillery laser as best he could, then fired. As he suspected, it was difficult to aim the weapon and pull the firing stud, and balance the whole thing. Patterson made it look so easy. Of course, Patterson couldn't even turn a computer console on without a 3-hour training course, so there was that.

The ID creature DC is 14. Roll away and if you roll big, let me know what kinds of extra info you're particularly interested in.
This is a driftdead, an incoporeal creature formed from a tragic death in the drift. (They are very corporeal in the drift.) As incoporeal, it's immune to most physical attacks, but energy based attacks from a physical source score half damage.
If you roll big, let me know what kinds of extra info you're particularly interested in. Also, see the video for more clues.
HK's solution isn't perfect and the laser beam just grazes the phantom figure. It whirls in placeto stare at the android.

What result description text? I found 1d4 straight from the from the description in the scenario, and also in Archives of Nethys, but if you've another reputable rules source I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.

Sorry, my mistake. I thought you'd found a different source for weapon damage. I think the specific confusion effect should overrule the general weapon damage in this case. I thought the way you described the confusion was awesome.

Lasers guided by Kai and Hermena lance toward the ghostly creature. Kai's flashes by without harming the thing, but Hermena's is more skillfully guided and rips into the driftdead.
Nice shot. Steev and Hellih to go.

Hellih takes aim calmly breathing out air which sounds very awkward as he doesn't have to breathe at all.

The laser shot hit the ground.
Btw. Steev should get +2 to hit for flanking. Confused still means that Kai is threatening the space around him, he just chooses to attack himself.

Thanks, John. I'm going to DMPC Steev too.
Steev wades in swinging the baton heavily, but the driftdead proves incredibly nimble and dodges away.

"Urrgh!" Hermena flinches as the incorporeal claws rend her flesh. She quickly realizes hanging back and letting Steev take point wasn't going to keep her safe in her wounded state.
The tall Sarcesian ducks behind the doorjam, out of sight (and hopefully reach) from the undead horror. She slides the sniper rifle into the crook of her arm long enough to pull out her healing serum, hoping the beast will choose a new target long enough for her to heal herself.
Move action to move, Standard action to draw mk 1 healing serum (can't use Quick Draw to draw it as a swift action since it's not a weapon).

| CrimsonDM |
After careful consideration, I think John is right. Patterson and Steev may take an AoO for the driftdead's ranged attack.
Alzandre misses. Hermena withdraws to heal up. Patterson drives his baton into the driftdead's midriff and feels rewarding tactile resistance, just as if he had hit a normal creature. Alzandre puts a shot right through the driftdead's head. Its substance parts and reforms.

The pilot bravely follows the driftdead aft and manages to connect again. Somehow the driftdead's bared teeth look larger and more threatening as its gaze locks on its tormentor.
