Having stopped on the outskirts of the cemetery to perform the ritual that summons his phantom, Bielsi hurries as best he can to catch up. As best he can is not very impressive as his dwarven heritage shows through most prevalently in his short, slow legs.
Though she could easily outpace him, his phantom follows along behind him.
She is gaunt with dark circles under her eyes. But even in the afterlife, her hair and skin have the smoothness and body that suggest she did not suffer a life of want before her death. Her face is haunted by a combination of despair, anger and betrayal that she looks ready to unleash on any convenient target.

Jadger being deaf doesn't fair very well either as he hops instead of walking hoping to make up for his obvious lack of stride.

Trap Spotter (Ex): Whenever a rogue with this talent comes within 10 feet of a trap, she receives an immediate Perception skill check to notice the trap. This check should be made in secret by the GM.
It is a rogue talent. It does not matter if it is mundane or magical.

![]() |

It means he would have been entitled to a preemptive Perception check (made secretly by you) to notice it before it was sprung.

![]() |

It's an ability for rogues to have a chance to spot a trap before it's being sprung just by within 10 ft of it unless it's triggered 15ft away.

Laying at the bottom of the pit, Manthos wearily pulls a pair of small potion from his bag. "Didn't think I'd be into the stash this soon. Damn, I will hurt in the morning."

Bielsi also finds himself at the bottom of the pit, though Zarisha manages to avoid it.
"Well, someone doesn't want us here. I wonder if it was the original builders protecting the dead or the newcomers trying to keep us out," he says.

If you have a grappeling hook you can easely escape the pit.
On the plus side... you get more cash if you go this way.
As you look around you find the corpse of another visitor. who fell to his death. His fine clothes are unfortunately rotted beyond recognition, but alas he must have been a vain one eyed man, as his eyepatch is studded in rubies and quite quite valueable.

Did I fall? I'd no doubt have been at or near the back of the party....
Acting upon a hunch, Alexis examines the eyepatch (once she can get to it) with her third eye....

@Alexis the eyepatch is not magical. or anything but the items you brought with you.
With Jadgers help you easely climb out of the pit and continue down the stairs.
This crypt antechamber has been repurposed as a reception area. Four iron chairs, two on each side, sit against the walls.
Two funeral beds, pushed together to form an “L”-shaped desk, stand in the middle of the room.
A skeleton laced in gold sits at the desk and you can see the quill moving like a hummingbird down some parchment... or is it more likely an embalming linen.
Looking up it looks at you and in a raspy voice speaks to you.
"Welcome to the Grave Wager. Name?”

"Well...this is new," Bielsi says as he approaches the desk.
"I'm not quite ready to tell you my name. Until I know more about this place. Names have power, you know. I'm sure you understand," Bielsi replies.

Walking up to the skeleton, "Hmmm..Grave Wager...like a bet..." He then looks over the scroll. "Name is Rhinshin...point me to where coin can be made."

The skeleton points to the room behind him and quickly scribbles down your names. you move to the next room and this room is... somewhat surprising to you. It contains four holds four sarcophagi arranged around a large statue, this one broken off just below the knees so only the feet remain. The rest of the fragments are missing from the room. Along the room’s western wall you can see two small crypts, each adorned with a swinging bronze gate.
But the room is not empty. Far from it. You hear voices in agitation.
"Faites votre jeux! Double six, double six, daddy needs a new pair of shoes. Double fours. Oh my good. Do you buy another cart. Dealer has two dragons."
One of the dwarves comes closer, his teeth are stained and you can see his hands deftly shuffling cards in an absentmind manner and bows."Welcome to the Grave Wager. What game would the gentlemen like to play?"

Jadger stares in disbelief.
"We came all this way for a game?"

Addressing the dwarf, Manthos nods slightly. "Good master, we are less gamblers and more interested in the purchasing of items with, hmm how do you say, less than complete providence of ownership?" Pointing to the exit, Manthos gestures, "I believe it's this way, yes?"
