Fiata, Flagbearer and Inspire Courage adds to your damage too.
"Finish off the Hound quickly!" Dario urges on the others fighting the Hound of Tindalos. For his own sake, he whirls and slashes at the creature in front of him to try and fend it off.
Move action to use Freebooter's Bane on the Hound. +1/+1 to attack/damage vs the Hound. And yes, it stacks with Flagbearer and Inspire Courage!
Attack vs Green (flag, IC): 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 8 + 2 = 21

In that case, the hound was destroyed! Good thing too - this way it won't come back and follow you...
Kenji Haru

”Great job with the hound. It .. it was scary!!! Let us continue!“
"Can you .... feel the power!?!" he shouts and moves to the skeleton!

Zeta follows with her eyes where the whole fight has moved and rushes there a second later.

Vellestir flies up next to Zeta, but does not attack yet.
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Kenji charges up and destroys the yellow skeleton.
Zeta moves up to try to mimic his success, but the skeleton is too nimble and dodges the blow.
Nevedno is up!

So close, but not close enough to damage the skeleton.
Pink moves slightly and then double teams Nevedno with the other skeleton.

Kenji moves to the hound!
"I am coming to you Dario!"
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Dario slices the beast, and it silently howls in pain.
Fiata again pokes the spear through the skeleton, catching nothing but air. Nevedno has more luck, indeed cleaving the skull from the remainder of the body, with the remains crumbling to the dirt.

I won't miss now! Zeta swings harder and with great power lowers the halberd on the skeleton's head.
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Zeta destroys the skeleton near by, as the small dragon swoops over to attack the last one. It bites it, but gnawing on bone is less than appealing, so the powerful jaws crush the skull.
The akata again bites at Dario, and again is turned away.

You get a further +1/+1 to hit/damage if you're attacking the target of Dario's Freebooter ability, which is currently the akata. Yes, it stacks with both Flagbearer and Inspire Courage.
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Dario and Kenji simultaneously strike blows - either of which would have killed the beast, but together, they obliterate it!
The professor then notices a worn-out leather strap hanging from the mouth of the beast.
There might be more of interest for those who search the area.
Kenji Haru
|
”Aahoooohh!! We did it!!“ Kenji howls.
He detects magic and looks around.
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Magic detection picks up a dagger and a small bag filled with dust. There is also a sheet of beaten gold with soem magical inscriptions on it (in Aklo).
Professor Dario Westone
|
Dario reaches down to inspect the leather strap hanging from the beast's mouth. "Hmm, what do we have here?"
Kenji Haru
|
Kenji collects the dagger, bag of dust and scroll.
“Can soomeoneee identify these magical items?!?“
Professor Dario Westone
|
"Of course!" Dario examines the magical items, noting their fine manufacture. He casts Read Magic to examine the scroll.
Scroll should be automatic
Spellcraft (dagger): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Spellcraft (bag): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
| GM Fuzzfoot |
Dario tugs on the strap hanging from the mouth of one akata. The strap
is attached to Nefti’s belt pouch, which he extracts with ease. Hours spent in the akata’s stomach has destroyed most of the contents, but several parts of a journal are still intact and legible. The entries include poetry and music composed by Nefti, as well as mundane day-to-day observations. The last several pages record Nefti’s complaints about the Aspis Consortium’s lack of appreciation for his accomplishments. A folded sheet of paper wedged in the journal bears the title “Potential Partners” and names the Pathfinder Society among other well-known organizations.
The "scroll" is actually a ritual.
You suspect this process might also attract the notice of something beyond the stars. Performing this ritual—which does not require the character to understand Aklo—takes one minute and restores 1d2+1 uses of mythic power to the creature up to once per week. Doing so also earns something for your chronicle.
The dust is a dust of disjunction.
And later, you will find out that the dagger is a +1 mythic bane dagger. But it doesn't say bane of wnat?
After defeating the monsters, you can again pick up Kafar’s trail, though his footprints are partially obscured by those of the akatas.
Professor Dario Westone
|
Knowledge, Planes: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Dario examines the scroll, trying to understand the writing. "Hmm...not a magical scroll at all. Some sort of planar ritual perhaps. I might need to consult Dr. Farragut. Yes, he would likely be able to understand this. And want to see it. Perhaps he would trade me some priceless artifact..."
The Professor turns back to the journal. "Well, it would seem possible that Nefti came to a horrible end. At least her journal did. But it does confirm my suspicions that they are disgruntled with the Aspis. If we can find Kafar, then perhaps he would be interested in working with us."
Finally, the scholar tries to make sense of the footprints and tracks nearby.

Description
This fine powder looks like crushed diamonds. A single
handful of this substance can be thrown in a 15-foot cone,
at which point it attempts to absorb and neutralize any
magic it comes in contact with. The magical properties of
each unattended magic item in the area are suppressed
for 1d4 rounds as if targeted by dispel magic spell (caster
level 10th). Each creature in the area is affected as if by
a targeted dispel magic, though the user cannot specify
a spell effect to dispel; if a target has no spells affecting
it, the dust instead attempts to suppress the abilities of
one magic item carried by the target, selected at random
following the rules for items surviving a saving throw
(Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook 217). The dust does not
affect other ongoing magical effects.
Dust of disjunction has a curious effect on golems,
which also demonstrate anti-magical properties. A golem
exposed to this dust must succeed at a DC 17 Fortitude
save or be staggered for 1 minute. At the end of its turn, a
staggered golem may attempt a new saving throw to end
the staggered effect.

Dario walks to where the footprints disappear, looking for any signs of a trap or hidden door. "Could be magic, but it could be something more mundane..."

"Disappear how, Kenji? If he's flying, we're not likely to find him easily."
Nevedno de'Morcaine

...
You determine that Kafar’s tracks stop about 15 feet from the buried doorway before disappearing. ...
Do you mean his tracks traveled 15' into this area along the same trail we were following then disappeared? Or is there another door on the far side that the footsteps disappear while approaching?
| GM Fuzzfoot |
The tracks end with 15 feet to go. It's like they just magically disappeared.
There are, of course, cracks in the stone, so maybe they turned into gas or something.
Kenji Haru
|
I do not know if we have any buffs but if not then we should start to take 20 search here!
| GM Fuzzfoot |
There doesn't seem to be any other way to exit. It is just a dead end.
There seem to be 3 options here, which I don't believe would be apparent without me pointing them out.
1. Turn gaseous to follow through the crack.
2. Dig. The cracks in the floor indicate to you there might be a tunnel below you if you coul break trhough.
3. Go back outside to the other side of the mountain and look for another way to follow.
Remember, this is basically a chase. So clearly each of these will have some effect on whether you are catching up or not.
Nevedno de'Morcaine
|
Without a word, Nevedno takes out his Swiss Army Knife (traveler's any tool) flips a few parts around to form a serviceable pickaxe and begins hacking at the crack to force his way through.
strength: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 anyone else want to try or have a better idea? Maybe an adamantine pick or hammer? Summon a creature that can dig?

Kenji agrees that digging makes.
