As Panda bites the raging half-orc, Cody turns and sends him to the ground. Quickly returning it's focus, the animal rips large gashes into the leader's flesh as Zaarah sprints across the room.
Twisting back, she tries to block the dangerous blow...but her attention is elsewhere and it squeezes through; cutting her shoulder. Twirling around the pit, she narrowly escapes another blow from the ground.
With a few quick words, her blade crackles with blue energy as she thrusts it deep into the fallen man. The blade protrudes from his back as the energy discharges with a *KRacK* and blows the man apart!
The guards stand still...stunned by the turn of events. Staring at the man that'd once saved their lives and back at the woman, mouths agape. Dropping their blades, they fall to their knees. "Sorry Master Torch....we....we failed you."
Suddenly Guaril Karela rushes into the room, stopping suddenly in the hallway and vomitting all over himself. "Oh! Oh my! Uh...this is not good....no. Not good at all! What happened?"
Listening intently to your story, his frown grows deeper and deeper. "This betrayal is...you must speak to Ms Heidmarch at once! Come with me....now!"
Mumbling to himself, he leads you through the corridors into another room, where in robes stands before an intricate wall of arcane sigils. "This is bound to attract the wrong kind of attention...Send them to Absalom at once!"
And with a slight nod, the man flicks his right hand in your direction. A wall of green smoke erupts around you and suddenly you are in the office of Sheila Heidmarch. Drandle Dreng and Ambrus Valsin stand nearby....apparently you have interrupted a meeting in progress.
Startled at your appearance, the interrogate you on the what, how, and why you have arrived in such fashion. Fully debriefed, Drendle remarks, "Well...I suspect he's not gone...not completely anyway. I would love to see poor old Karela's face though at the sight of that! Anyway, Torch always alluded to his having a contingency in the result of his death....I suppose we'll see."
"We must dissolve the Shadow Lodge at once!" declares Ambros, with a second from Sheila Heidmarch. "We'll see to it you get compensated, as usual." he growls to you.
"Well...I think it's time for a drink!" declares Drendle, producing a couple bottles from his robes. He quickly escorts you out into another room. "Sadly, I must attend to other things, but your drinks, this time, are on me." leaving the bottles, he flees through a side door.

Zaarah is still totally flabbergasted by what happened.

”I can imagine that this was an unexpected turn of events! All I heard about this Torch was that he is a corrupted and manipulative man! I know that sometimes we employ also such individuals in our ranks but I have to admit that his act of murder was more than endurable! You think he will be resurrected?!?“ she says astounded and then starts laughing again.
She looks at her black blade and smiles. ”Good joke!“
She turns to the venture-captains again.
”He has information which is vital so please try your best to protect our society! And now let’s go drinking!!!!“ she roars.
