The gnolls all growl at Fergus as they keep a hand on their possessions. One of them has a bleeding scratch on his shoulder. Another has a cut on his foot.

Akeirin nods to his elven cousin's words of caution. Holding his hands high, the valley elf calls to the gnolls and flinds.

"Kandakh kach koré thee. Va kach fokar tapskan. Sim taklan dö veera, lap tuska til. Trata bùk fir kralkan."

Gnoll:

"As you see us we see you. We move away as you are here. This land needs no blood, and is thirsty only for rain. Travel well mighty warriors."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

That didn't work out so well. The gnolls are still growling. One of them then says "We were put out of our ancestral cave. We do not want a fight, but we will give you one if you remain in our way."

Male Human (Keoland - Fo)| HP 66/66| w/ shield: AC: 24, T: 14, FF: 23// w/o shield AC: 21, T: 14, FF: 20 | Spd: 30ft/ 20ft w/armor | Paladin (Divine Defender) 7 | Init +5, Normal vision; Percept: +9, Sense Motive: +11 | +2 Keen Greyflame Longsword 1d8+4 17-20/x2 S| Saves: F: +10, R: +7, W: +11 | CMB +2 / CMD 13

Fergus stops walking after seeing several of the gnolls are wounded. He doesn't really understand what the gnoll is saying. He turns to Akeirin..."I get the sense they are not happy. I don't like the idea of leaving them at our rear as we travel to these caves. It might benefit us if we assist their wounded. Bahamut speaks of opening the door to those wishing to change their ways... Tell them I would be happy to tend to their wounded if they let us pass in peace." He looks back at the gnolls. "It looks like they got into it with something and I have a knack for healing and it will only take up our time and nothing more. It might go a long way in ensuring we get back safely if we get out of these caves in one piece...might even find out what is in the surrounding area."

Reidog looks around in confusion, unsure exactly what is going on. The gnolls weren't attacking yet. That was certainly a good thing.

Their injuries did provide a tactical advantage if it came to that, but it seemed the the oelf was making some headway with negotiations.

Hearing Fergus call back from his slightly forward position, then Naji's statements, Reidog feels the need to chime in. "I'm all fer goin' round, if thar's an option fer that, but Fergus has a point. A little sugar goes a long way ta makin' sure they don't have a change 'o heart soon as our backs're turned.

If yer can get them ta let Fergus heal up tha leader there, might be he'll be grateful, like."

Akeirin listens to his companions, then shakes his head.

"I understand Fergus, but they say they will only fight us if we do not move on. And getting closer only brings us nearer danger as Naji contends." The valley elf sighs. "They have been pushed out of their ancestral cavern, though by what I do not know."

Akeirin looks up at the warband and thinks.

"I will make the offer of healing and see what they say. I like not having them at our backs, but if we make allies of them it will serve us well. I will offer that we might help restore them to their cavern also..."

Again Akeirin calls to the gnolls.

"Vach tur kech-tha kach tûp zhek vasht thak. Ki kolikal tur sūdh kir kutch tur vam plaar veera kee. Vach tur kech-tha howe kim kar thuk kach bik kach om raa kur!"

Gnoll:
"We taste your pain and are hungered to feast on your enemies. Our godsman can heal your cuts and bring proud scars where blood now flows. We will taste the fear of those who cast you out and allow you entry to where you belong!"

"A missed opportunity I'm afraid, they would they we just leave."

He turns to the warband.
