Yes.

Jebeddo looks around the room after the awkward silence of the woman's answer, hoping there's someone else to talk to.

Male Elf Wilder 1 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 17, T: 13, FF: 14 | Fort +0, Ref+3, Will +2 | Init +3; Per: +6 | CMB: +1; CMD 14 | Spd: 30 ft | Power Points/Day: 0/3

Fair enough Jebeddo, Akeirin is still waiting a reply from her...

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"I am a necromancer," says the woman. Her long thin blonde hair is straight and not wavy. "And I'm looking for work."

Male Elf Wilder 1 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 17, T: 13, FF: 14 | Fort +0, Ref+3, Will +2 | Init +3; Per: +6 | CMB: +1; CMD 14 | Spd: 30 ft | Power Points/Day: 0/3

"Ah. Well, if I hear of anything I'll let you know!" Akeirin answers, again without a hint of guile. "We are however looking for a more....armored, warrior-type to accompany us - do you know of such?"

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"Well, there is old Cob," she says. "His personality is phlegmatic. He'll go with the group but isn't very forceful."

Bard 1 - HP 11/11, AC 15 (T)13 (FF)13 - Perception +4 - F: +3/ R: +4/ W: +2 - CMB: -1 CMD: 11, Speed: 20, Init. +6

"Do you know where we can find him?"

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"He's standing behind me, drinking an ale," she says.

Bard 1 - HP 11/11, AC 15 (T)13 (FF)13 - Perception +4 - F: +3/ R: +4/ W: +2 - CMB: -1 CMD: 11, Speed: 20, Init. +6

"Thanks. Best of luck to you."

Jebeddo gives a quick nod in Cob's direction and starts heading towards him.

" Ahem. Stone endures still, friend. I am Jebeddo, entertainer extraordinaire, and these are my colleagues. Rumor has it that your looking for work. We have some work to be done. Perhaps we can come to some arrangement?"

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"Oh hi there. You're Jebeddo? That's fine, what sort of arrangement are you talking about?" Cob says.

Male High Elf Evoker - HP 12/12 ,- AC 13/T: 13/FF: 10 - F: +2 R: +3/ W: +1* - CMB: +2 - CMD: 15, Speed: 30, Init. +5, - Perception +2

Therion watches as the Bard begins to talk to the warrior at the bar.
He keeps his eyes on the rest of the room...seeing who might be taking an interest in their little group.

@Party - not sure what share % we want to offer?

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"I'm familiar with the area, although I fight well with a club," says old Cob.

Male Elf Wilder 1 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 17, T: 13, FF: 14 | Fort +0, Ref+3, Will +2 | Init +3; Per: +6 | CMB: +1; CMD 14 | Spd: 30 ft | Power Points/Day: 0/3

Akeirin surveys the man Jebeddo converses with.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 [To ascertain anything unusual beyond his dress or manner]

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 [To ascertain the man's...motives]

[Generally, what does Cob look like?]

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Cob looks like a man that is in his mid-thirties. He has lost some hair, although his hair is a brilliant red. He looks strong enough and carries a club. He wears a kilt which he keeps belted. That ensemble includes a shirt, a shirt of mail, a coif, and leather boots. He looks dressed for the summer.

He has a farmer's hands, which had become strong from milking cows. Everyone calls him old Cob because Cob looks older than his actual age.

Bard 1 - HP 11/11, AC 15 (T)13 (FF)13 - Perception +4 - F: +3/ R: +4/ W: +2 - CMB: -1 CMD: 11, Speed: 20, Init. +6

So in case we need to milk some owlbears, we've got our guy?

M Human - Baklunish/Oeridian Cleric (Ecclesitheurge) 7

The priest stands and makes an announcement. "Hello the room! My companions seem to have it in their heads to do some exploring, and are looking for an able bodied person or two to take with us. They seem to like Old Cob, here. Is anyone else interested?" Then he sits back down. "That should work better than moving slowly around the room."

Male Elf Wilder 1 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 17, T: 13, FF: 14 | Fort +0, Ref+3, Will +2 | Init +3; Per: +6 | CMB: +1; CMD 14 | Spd: 30 ft | Power Points/Day: 0/3

Akeirin smiles wolfishly.

"That should indeed."

Turning his attention to the mentioned man, Akeirin gives him some cnsideration.

"Not so old, this "Old" Cob. Still vital, for a human. I'd say he might prove useful in beating some heads flat..."

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

A few of the patrons stand up. A halfling, the necromancer from before, old Cob, a strong woman dressed in a bronze panoply to which she says, "Third."; another woman with a mace raises her free arm, a mystical man stands up and raises his arm, and a rather young woman who could only be sixteen raises her arm.

M Human - Baklunish/Oeridian Cleric (Ecclesitheurge) 7

"Don't be shy. Come on over and tell us a little about yourselves and how you would contribute. What's 'Third?'"

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

The woman in the bronze panoply points to herself and says, "Third." She is also stronger than she looks and carries around three great spears -- which she can use as thrown weapons.

She starts speaking in her native tongue, which is unknown to those in the Flanness. However, one can try to understand her with a linguistics roll against a DC 27.

Bard 1 - HP 11/11, AC 15 (T)13 (FF)13 - Perception +4 - F: +3/ R: +4/ W: +2 - CMB: -1 CMD: 11, Speed: 20, Init. +6

Jebeddo can't help here, but if no one can make that DC, then I guess he can attempt to use silent image to visually convey what we want. Otherwise I don't suppose her intelligence is low enough to work with Speak With Animals, is it ;)?

M Human - Baklunish/Oeridian Cleric (Ecclesitheurge) 7

Yeah, 27 is out of range at this point. I guess an Int-based character might be able to reach it, but the best I can get is a 25.

Naji shrugs and shakes his head in negation. Then he tries a simple phrase, "Do you understand what I am saying?" in Baklunish, Ancient Baklunish, and finally Celestial.

Male Elf Wilder 1 | HP: 12/12 | AC: 17, T: 13, FF: 14 | Fort +0, Ref+3, Will +2 | Init +3; Per: +6 | CMB: +1; CMD 14 | Spd: 30 ft | Power Points/Day: 0/3

Akeirin is fairly stunned as the available cast of would-be aides frows before his eyes. The amazonian woman piques his interest, and he waits for her to either answer or not.

"Perhaps Elvish, Lady Third?" he asks her simply.

Can you take 20 to listen and learn her language? I have a +7, so a twenty would be enough to understand what she was saying...or I can roll.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"Perhaps so," she responds in elvish. Although heavily accented elvish. "I'm from Cymidicea, an underground city. I was sent to scout out the surface for possible recolonization. I wear a bronze mask all the time, and the people here named me Third in their language."

You can try to take twenty and learn what she is saying in Cymidicean.

Elvish:

Akeirin translates:

"A Cynidicaean, apparently an underground city. She wears the mask at all times, and people here gave her that name, "Third"."

Akeirin lets Therion try to parse her speech before attempting yo converse with Third in Elvish again.

You have some success. Although she still refers to herself as "Third," you can understand a little of Cymidicean. You aren't fluent, but you can understand her native tongue a little.

"That isn't hard, Jebeddo. Allow me." Naji stands up, points at Third, and the chair he just vacated. Then he says her name, "Third," while pointing at the chair again.

Akeirin smiles and nods.

"Lady Third. We would be honored if you would join us, and will be able to pay you a share of our earnings in any successful enterprise..."

Turning to the rest, Akeirin throws out his hands questioningly. "How much of a share are we offering? A full fifth as a full partner?" the elf looks to Naji, Therion and Jebeddo.

Therion helps to translate to the masked woman their intent.

"A full share I should think. She will be taking the same risks as the rest of us."

Suddenly, from the area of the bar, an extremely loud "HAR!" startles the patrons.

You look up to see a burly dwarf in scale mail finishing off a mug of ale. He slams the mug down, spilling a few drops onto the large shield lying on top of the bar and blocking anyone from sitting in the two chairs next to him.

Wiping up the spilled drops off of the glowing boulder painted on the shield with a finger and licking them off, the dwarf then proceeds to loudly suck some foam off of his dirty blonde moustaches. Or maybe they are blonde and dirty, you can't be sure.

"By Moradin's bearded arse! The lot 'o ye are adventurers? Har! A coupla fairies, a world-ender, 'an whatever that masked thing is? At least ye gots a gnome along ta give yerselves some respectability, but yer still sure ta get run out by tha first kobold ye meet."

Grabbing the shield and the huge double axe propped against the two stools on the other side of him, he stands up.

"Well, I'm in tha mood fer a bit 'o amusement. Think I might just follow you lot ta see what comedy ye kin get up ta!"

Walking up to the party, the sweetly sick stench of stale ale wafts off him. You stop wondering why nobody complained about him taking up so much space at the bar.

"Well then. Reidog Blessedstone's tha name. Where 'r' we off ta?"

Having spent the night walking in the rain and camping out under a copse of trees that provided little cover from the rain Fergus makes his way into the inn and grabs a chair by the nearby table. Thankful for both a dry spot and a more comfortable place to sit. He takes his cloak off and shakes it out by the fire and then places it on his chair to dry. At least that is his plan as he looks around at the diverse group of men and women inside the inn. As the innkeeper walks by he asks for an ale and a plate of bread and cheese in keoish.

Fergus takes his seat and scans the room until the man drops off his plate and he hands the coins for and gives him a thankful smile for the food and drink. It is been a while since I have had food that was not on a spit. I appreciate it. He takes down nearly half the ale and puts the mug down and begins to eat as he listens to the banter around him. His last job as a body man was a few months ago but it paid well and he took up as a caravan guard and tended to the men's sore feet and a few broken limbs when needed. Now his travels have taken him here for some reason. Bahamut wills it then I will go. I am not sure why but there must be a reason for his instances... After some time of Fergus pondering why exactly he came here to this place is when the Priest stood up. He made the proclamation to the entire room and for a moment he felt that little nudge that he has often felt when he was unsure of a course of action.

Fergus stands slowly and looks around and then to the priest that spoke. I am Fergus and I hail from Woodsage. If you will have my sword and shield I will travel with you as well. The young man is fairly tall (5'11" maybe 6' feet) with strong Flan blood and a hint of Oeridian blood in the jaw, chin, and deep blue eyes. He has blonde hair that is well trimmed and a shaved face that hasn't seen a lot of growth on it. He a broad-shouldered young man with lightly tanned skin. He gives the priest a quick understanding smile. It would seem this is my next journey...if they will have me.

It was precisely at that time that he entered the door, his pale blond hair hanging damply down, the tips of half elven ears just barely protuding from beneath them. He wasnt the tallest man there by any means, (5'8") but it was clear from his build that the young man was very strong. His armor was painted a very light green hue, as was his shield slung over his back. He blinked at the general excitement in the air from the inn's busy atmosphere and for a moment he was confused. Taverns and inn's always seemed busier in the evenings, not morning times, still it was a welcome relief after all the rain from the night before. He really should have traveled through the night it seems, he got soaked regardless of stopping the night before in that patch of trees.

Still in the doorway he heard a man call about his sword and shield being availible. The general population of the inn appeared to be adventurous folk, so he was clearly in the right place.

"While I have just arrived into this town, I came seeking adventure and coin. Where are you travelling too that needs stout arms and shields so? If there is honour or glory in it I would be inclined to offer my aid as well. I am Talenvere Steelguard, of Greenplane, at your service."

He moved closer towards the group that seemed to be in the center of this hiring spree curious as to their quest.

Fergus listens to the other two speak and realizes that Reidog was also talking to him. He lets the Dwur finish and nods to confirm he is listening to the Dwur's words. Unsure how to take the Dwur's comment he decides on diplomacy as the best course of action. As friends are harder to find than enemies especially in strange places. No offense taken master Dwur. Reidog is rendered speechless by the friendly response. He is fairly certain that he isn't being mocked and feels obligated to honor the toast.

Without really looking, he reaches out to a nearby table and picks up a cup sitting in front of one of the patrons. Raising the cup in toast, he swallows it, then grimaces as the hot tea scalds his tongue.

Attempting to hide his displeasure, he simply closes his mouth and waits to see what else might happen.

Third faintly smiles behind her mask. Apparently the group has grown with warriors such as she. Maybe she will stay behind and not get into trouble, but then she remembers that is not what her kind does. Third takes a quaff of ale as she lifts her mask to do so.

This reveals red lips to any who is attentive.

Fergus grabs his cloak...dyed a sky blue on the outside, his pack, and his shield. On the shield is a sky blue field with a silver dragon's head pointed to the right. He walks over to the Dwur...He sees the innkeep and calls for him to bring him and the Dwur a flagon of ale and an extra mug. When the ale comes he passes him some coin (a few extra coppers as well) and tells the hard working man thank you. Fergus grabs the mug and pours him some ale and hands it off to the dower looking Dwur. Here master Dwur. Let us share a cup and learn about this adventure they have planned.

More importantly, let me learn what kind of people are in this group so that I can best serve them. He takes back what looks like a deep drink of the mug but it is only small sip. Better to keep my senses and my wit as we discuss this venture.

To your health Reidog! He lifts his mug once more and smiles and then takes another drink. He then turns his attention to the group in the middle, the newcomer that came in the door just now and Reidog.

Peering at the mug skeptically, and at Fergus, Reidog waits until Fergus takes his sip.

"Aye! Mighten' be ye gots a little rock dust in ye." Tilting his head back and quickly swallowing half of the mug, Reidog lets out a loud belch.

Looking back and forth, Reidog finds it difficult to maintain any pique, though he knows the other shoe will drop soon enough. Turning back to Naji, he waits for more information.

"So, then, ye mentioned some tunnels. P'rhaps yer needin' more than one good blade?"

M Human - Baklunish/Oeridian Cleric (Ecclesitheurge) 7

The Baklunish priest shrugs. "We have no idea what we'll need. Sensible people hope to never need any warriors. Reasonable people try to make sure they have some, anyway." He leans back a bit. "I know not why our threads have crossed in this place and at this time, but it seems The Web is revealing a portion of itself this evening. I'm curious to see what the rope we could be forming here might do as it crosses other threads and encounters other ropes. Our perspective keeps us watching the story unfold instead of knowing what is to come. This could be quite a tale. Or not."

Looking at the others already at the table, including Third, he asks the obvious question. "So, what say you, then? Do we accept this offered help? What can you tell them about our idea for the morrow?"

Third only nods and says, "Maruda!"
