Just so you know I'll be uploading a slide for every crew member sometime this week, there are 4-5 ones with special stat blocks and 14 without. And there's also the officers.
You exceed the DC by 5, skyrocketing your score up to Helpful. He can get you Gormak's goods, and if you want to discuss it with the group one other item. You get that ship action back and can use it for something else. He was not sober enough to do it, so it's you. You also get 100 xp
She is on slide 10, though she does just use the standard stat block. You get 100 Xp, and your relationship increases to friendly with her.
On the dot, you bring your relationship from indifferent to helpful, she loves a fellow musician. You gain 100 XP.
Gormak Thunderblood
Well, regardless of his sobriety, I beat the DC 10 check needed, so dinner will not be poison.
Gormak listened to Kroop's advice, telling him about the dangers of the Wormwood. This shanghai looks worse all the time. Now I find out the captain and his minions may kill us if we look at them funny. Still, Kroop's likeable enough. Maybe there are others on the ship we can count on.
While getting supplies for cooking dinner for the crew, Gormak tried to estimate how long they had supplies for before they would need to replenish - replenishment might provide opportunities for escape.
Since I got my Daytime Action back, I'll use it to take a Sneak action and use Profession (sailor) try to evaluate the Wormwood's supply levels.
Profession (sailor): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Rath StormSurge
At Rosies response Rath's smile widens even more and he answers with obvious excitement, "Hah, a fellow musician eh? I've been playing for a few years now. Picked it up on my first time at sea, needed a way to pass the time and it goes well with sea shanties and the like. What about yourself, fiddle ain't an easy thing to learn?" He pauses a moment before chuckling, "Ah where my manners, the name's Rath StormSurge, Shackles native and gentleman corsair, at your service."

Kelar Formtaker
Alright, now that I know who Scrimshaw is, I think my previous posts still apply.
Kelar asks around until he figures out who Scrimshaw is, then sets to his assigned task. As he does, he tries to chat with Scrimshaw, asking how long he's been aboard, how the ship's been faring lately, and so forth.
(Successful Strength check to swab the deck)
Missed the part about a daytime action.
While he works, Kelar steals what glances he can into the hold, keeps an eye on the ship's bearing and speed, and tries to figure out their location and possible destinations.
(Failed Sneak check)
Rath StormSurge
Rath accepts Rosies hand and gives her a bright smile, "A pleasure miss Cusswell, and I do hope we get the chance to play together soon." That's pretty much all Rath is going to do during the day besides his job, should we post night activities?
DM Greaek
There is an event this afternoon before the night actions, I will post that tommorow night.
Kelar Formtaker
Kelar whirls around, and offers a toothy smile. "I needed another holystone, and couldn't find Scrimshaw. Any idea where I'd find one? "
Bluff: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
This should end well.
DM Greaek
Yes there is Darvan, here's what should have been there
At dusk, everyone goes to the deck, and the sailors part as a man is being brought up by Master Scourge and Mr. Plugg. The two lead him to the bow of the ship, then Mr. Plugg smiles wickedly and said "Calm down everyone, soon we'll have a meal cooked by our new chef's mate. But before we get to the meal we have a Keelhauling to do. Lil' Jack Magpie here was caught stealing from the quartermaster's store, and we wouldn't want him to steal your food, would we? and he pauses as pirates yell in agreement Now since we can't take food thieves on our ship we need to lay down the law, show him what's what. Jack Magpie, may your body provide food for the sharks, lest it lies idle in Besmera's britches. another dull roar from the pirates. 'Any last words." Jack says "F*ck you all, I hope this ship sinks and you burn in the afterlife" and he jumps into the water
Gormak Thunderblood
Gormak watches Scourge and Plugg escort Jack Magpie to the bow of the ship with a blank look on his face. He wasn't particularly concerned about the fate of Jack - after all, he didn't know him, and it wasn't too wise to put one's neck at risk for someone you didn't know. Still, he wondered if old Jack had actually been trying to steal the food, or if he was taking the fall for someone else. He had to step carefully - and warn his siblings to do the same. Otherwise they would meet the same fate.
Still, he can't help but allow a small smile to cross his face as Jack jumps into the water instead of allowing himself to be thrown in. Face death with your head held high and without flinching. Well done, Jack Magpie.
Kelar Formtaker
During the day
Kelar lowers his head slightly. "Because I haven't actually done anything - just wanted to see how well supplied my new home was. Because the deck's already so clean it shines. And... because i somehow doubt you're any more excited to be here than I am."
No Bluff check, since that's all true. Diplomacy behind the spoiler, if needed.
DM Greaek
Kelar as soon as you and Rath post in the present we can move on.
Kelar She puts her arm at your throat "Actually I am happy to be here, as I have a job here and as long as I cooperate I get as much alcohol and money as I want. Also here I get respect, and if you do your job you might gain respect, but if you creep around it's a good way to end up like Magpie."
Rath StormSurge
Rath watches the keelhauling silently, being sure not to allow any emotion to make it to his face. ”If this is the kind of ship where you get keelhauled for stealing we’re all going to have to watch our backs.”
Kelar Formtaker
I did a present post right before yours went up.
During the day
Kelar raises his arms, hands open. "Gotcha. I'll keep my tusks clean." After a moment, he adds, "Sorry we got off on the wrong foot here. I'm Kelar."
DM Greaek
After a bit, they pull the body up, and it is cut up and bleeding, unmoving and everyone roll a heal and perception check
Rath StormSurge
perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
heal: 1d20 ⇒ 20
i have no idea how I made that heal check
Rath quickly walks up to to the mess of a man and makes a show of checking his pulse before shouting to the crew, ” Somebody get a healer here now! This man’s not dead, he’s been blessed by lady Besmara herself!” this could end badly but after a roll like that I’m willing to take a chance.
Kelar Formtaker
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Kelar takes advantage of Rath's distraction and, with a few gestures and a brief incantation, casts a spell to keep Jack's wounds from worsening. Stabilize.
He checks a few hidden pockets where he's stashed a few herbs and makes his way forward, preparing to offer more mundane assistance if no other healer is on board.
Per the trait, I've got a healer's kit that was left with me or escaped notice when I was brought on.
Gormak Thunderblood
Heal: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
Perception: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (19) + 0 = 19
Gormak doesn't think he's alive, but he doesn't know much about that kind of thing - it was always Kelar's specialty. Still, the fact Jack Magpie survived a keelhauling was quite impressive.
Rath StormSurge
diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
well in for a pound in for them all Rath walks over and stands in front of scourge, looking him in the eye.
”Mr. Scourge, that man was caught stealing and sentenced to be keelhauled, which he was, his punishment is now concluded. On top of that, if you press ganging us was any indication, than this ship is currently under manned correct? If that’s the case than we need all the hands we can get, do we not?”
DM Greaek
Scourge scowls at you "I'd stay out of this if I were you, lest you'd like to end up sharkfood. As for the punishment and undermanning....... GAH" and he drops Jack, and Picks Rath up and holds him over the edge 'I'm the 1st mate here, and when the captain isn't present I call the shots, do you understand. I AM THE BOSS, YOU HEED MY WORD DO YOU UNDERSTAND!"
Gormak Thunderblood
Gormak remains frozen, looking at the tableau before him. He'd never learned to hide his spellcasting, otherwise he'd attempt to deafen Scourge to help the gillman out. He looked over at Darvan as he spoke, not wanting his brother to get thrown overboard, either.
DM Greaek
He dropped Magpie back on the deck.
Mr. Scourge looks at Darvan and shoves Rath into him "You little smart-asses better watch your mouth from now on, else you find yourselves being keelhauled. You can take responsibility for Mr. Magpie here, since you seem so keen on preventing his death. Now you can go get your rum rations, make sure Magpie doesn't have anything nasty happen to him/" and he picks up Jack and tosses him at Rath's feet.
Gormak Thunderblood
Gormak breathes a soft sigh of relief as Scourge doesn't attempt to punish Darvan for his intervention. He moves to dispense food and rum to the crew, leaving Darvan, Kelar, and Rath to deal with Jack.
Rath StormSurge
Rath steadies himself before releasing a held breath at Scourge's retreat. "Appreciate the save my friend." Looking around at the assembled pirates he gives a small chuckle. " If I ever get it in my head to do something this stupid again someone please just punch me. Now, does anyone here have the ability to heal the poor sod currently bleeding out at my feet?"
Kelar Formtaker
Kelar steps forward. "I can try a few things. Darvan, lend a hand?" He pulls out a few types of herbs, tears a few improvised bandages from his clothes, and sets to work.
Heal: Treat Deadly Wounds: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Success! Magpie regains one HP per HD. Two successful Aid checks would bump that to HD+2 HP.
An hour later, Magpie regains consciousness.
DM Greaek
As you get your rum rations and sit by Magpie awaiting his awakening, you are aproached by the same woman who none of you saw earlier "Curious thing earlier, you all standing up for Jack like that. Who are you, and why would you put your neck on the chopping block like that for a complete stranger, one who had stoked the anger of the captain for that matter."
Kelar Formtaker
Kelar greets the woman with a nod. "Way I see it, the man survived a keelhauling. Only way that happens is if the ocean wants him alive for some reason." He grins. "Or at least wants him dead somewhere else. Either way, I never heard of a ship that fared well by ignoring the ocean." He stands, and offers the newcomer his seat. "Name's Kelar. What's yours?"
Gormak Thunderblood
Gormak looks at the human woman and says, "He faced his death well, and then survived a keelhauling. It's just like surviving the storm. I am Gormak."
Rath StormSurge
Rath smiles as the woman approaches and nods along with the others. "Kelar is quite right, however there is also a practical reason, I wasn't lying about the lack of hands on board more help is always appreciated. And more friends are always welcome. My name is Rath my lady, may I ask yours?"
