Kolo the Swashbuckler |

[OOC}For me its not a lack of clarity, I am just not certain what to do or how Kolo could help. He isnt really made for the clandestine sneaking type stuff. He can bluff well but he's more of the loud boisterous type, then the sneaky james bond type[/OOC]

Daromel |

Once outside and with his pouch once more, Daromel began to think about how best to break the man out. He shared his plan with the group that night.
"Tomorrow, Kolo, you will return to the asylum. I will join you, invisibly. When you enter, I will slip in behind you. You should ask to meet with some of the staff. When everyone is distracted, I will move to the cell, open it with knock, and cast invisibility on the inmate. We will then make good our escape. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes, but try to keep them occupied for as long as you can. What do you think?"

Sleet Storm |

Ok then lets go that way ,do you want to change your spells prepared or are you good?Oh and about the potions, this is a PFS scenario and as far as I understand the PFS rule is that you can buy whatever you want as long as you are in a settlement with least 5000 inhabitants so yeah I would say this stuff is available in Palins cove.

Sleet Storm |

I guess you could hire a messenger to inform them of your vist beforehand. We'll handle it as if you have if you want ,the cost for that kind of service is negligible. So do you want to buy potions? You can if you want but I put up the next post to get things moving forward if you still want to make any preperations please say so.

Sleet Storm |

I assume Daromel has cast invisibilty on himself just before entering so 10 minutes duration from now wich is hard to count in this kind of scenario but I'll try to be fair.
The following day the party enters the asylum again at the reception, the receptionist is not at his desk but Kolo and Jake are greeted by an orderly as they walk in the room. The man has a discerning look on his face as he walks up to them almost as if he is trying to size them up.
You must be Lord Dimitrov, Lord Belodia has informed us that you might visit us today. You wish to speak to the staff?

Kolo the Swashbuckler |

I think I'd like to buy 3 cure moderate potions assuming that is possible, I am not familiar with the pfs guidelines but I have to assume for a 10th level character that should be fine.
Kolo smiles, "Yes if my sister is to seek her treatment here I'd like to get to know you a bit better. After all you will be taking care of my dearest heart, please, show myself and my associate in where we might have such introductions."

Daromel waited for Jake to open the door for Kolo. He swung the door open wide, to accommodate Daromel's unseen entrance. Phase one complete, we're back inside, he thought to himself. Wasting no time, as Kolo and Jake brought attention to themselves, he slipped into the corridor from the previous day. First making sure there was no one else in the aisle, he crept down to the cell from before, he whispered to the unfortunate man with no eyes very quietly, "I'm going to get you out of here. You have to be very quiet. I'll take you by the hand, but remember that you musn't speak."
With that out of the way, Daromel cast Knock on the cell door.
He knew this was the essential part of the plan, everything else up to this point could be explained away with enough persuasion. So, Daromel focused and applied a bit of unconventional wisdom he had never been taught, but simply felt. Knock: 1d20 + 10 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 10 + 2 = 31
Using Arcane Reservoir Point to increase caster level for this spell.

Sleet Storm |

Wait a minute its not that easy:)
"Whatever you wish mylord the staff is having lunch at the moment but I can bring you into the mess hall if you are not bothered by that."
The orderly leads the group through the corridor to the mess hall (G5 on the map) ,as can be openly seen the door to the dorm is wide open. There are 4 orderlies sitting at the tables eating lunch, as the men enter the room they all look up from their plates giving them suspicious looks . The mood in the room is wierd and the tension in the air is almost palpable.
These are all but one of the orderlies on duty today mylord, there is one more but he is serving meals to the patients at the moment, he will be back in a few minutes.
So, now you can act.

Jake the Brawler |

G5 isn't far from G4, but there is one door. We'll need to get that door open twice.
Jake looks around. Is the source of tension us? As in are they nervous about us?
Perception 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
Sense Motive 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26

Jake the Brawler |

Daromel only needs a few minutes to do his work, then we'll make some kind of excuse and get out.
Of course, that one orderly in the dorm will make things awkward. There might be a shriek of "magic!" and some fisticuffs shortly.
Taking a last look at the hostile orderlies, Jake gets up and heads into the dorm. He's figuring the orderlies might create a commotion, which would help Daromel, or he can make it to that orderly and ask "why are all the other orderlies so hostile? I have to watch out for my lord's safety."

Sleet Storm |

Well they aren't openly hostile ,I was just describing the mood.
I don't know what you are talking about sir, we would never dare being hostile to you or your lord.
I think it might be helpful to use the map for this situation so I added a grid on the asylum map, I hope you can read it.
The grided map is here.
Kolo and Jake are in H-13/14 I would say ,Daromel is right behind them and the orderlies are sitting at the tables. There is one orderly walking around handing out food to the patients but you can't see him from there although the door to the dorm is open.

Kolo the Swashbuckler |

Of course not, you all seem like fine and dedicated fellows. And I apologize for interupting your lunch. I would just like to get to know those who would be caring for my dear sister. She is very precious to me despite her ailments, and I liked to establish a relationship with all of you, so we might be more like a family.

Is there something blocking Daromels path to the cells? I am basically going to try to stall until he can get the patient out

Sleet Storm |

The orderly is in B-5 right now scooping soup from a big bowl into a smaller bowl and cleaning soup smatterings from the floor. He doesn't seem to be in a hurry. If you stay longer you will see him walking towards E-5 passing the cell inbetween(wich is empty) and repeating the same procedure. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.

Jake the Brawler |

I'm not sure Jake can keep track of time to that precision without a timepiece, but it seems like it will take a long time. Also Jake doesn't know if Daromel can keep (silently) casting the spell.
Jake gives Kolo a significant look, and looks toward that orderly (and of course, toward the invisible Daromel). Then he inventories the orderlies. Are any of them armed?
Kolo has social skills, so he's better at distracting. Jake could just drag the orderly out of the room, but that's hostile and not exactly subtle...

Kolo the Swashbuckler |

Kolo approaches the orderly Jake motions to, "My Good man, may I introduce myself, I am Lord Avis Dimitrov,". Kolo reaches out and vigorously shakes them mans hand and leads him towards the others "Come now, tell me about yourself and your work here at this fine institution."
I presume since you can make a bluff check to give youself a chance to hide, you can use it to provide a distraction for someone else
