Talon Darkslayer
"Whats worng with a clown?" Gabbi says looking a little confused but follows the others out. Running not being her thing but carrying almost nothing helps meaning she'll arrive just after the first few arrive.
"Whats worng with a clown?" Talon grunts, struggling to keep up with the rest, "It's a creepy clown lass! There's nothin' worse than a creepy clown!"
dm night-shade
So in order of arrival correct me if i'm wrong I guess:)
Gur
Gilderoy
Antoni
Talon
Rasgraton
Gabi
Followed by a few good intentioned townsfolk.
You now face a dark house. Home of Mr. and Mrs. Bailey and their two 4 year old twin girls. There are no lights. 3 creaky step lead up to a covered front deck upon which are a few rocking chairs and a creepy old wind chime. The plank front door is closed. The windows are dark and you can see nothing inside from here. You are about 40 ft away. Thunderheads have rolled in and the dark night sky is now periodically illuminated by approaching lightening. But the air is fiarly still, just enough breeze to bong the chime now and again. The calm before the storm. What do you do?
Gur
Gur rushes the door at full speed, not even slowing to assess the situation in this case. The monstrous man's booted heel finds itself firmly planted against the middle of the door before it is burst open..... barring any you know barrings on the other side. The orc bellows in a voice that could wake the dead from their eternal slumber."IF YOU HAVE HARMED EITHER THE YOUNG LADY OR THE CHILDREN I WILL SEE YOU SUFFER! HAND THEM OVER UNHARMED AND I WILL ALLOW YOU TO SURRENDER PEACEFULLY."
Gilderoy Targedew
Gilderoy waves his hands in front of his body, sheathing it in a glimmering coat of arcana, after a series of quick intonation before following in, keeping his eyes open. Mage Armor. So will update AC.
"Come out peacefully, whoever you are! We already know your intentions are not pure!"
Talon Darkslayer
Remember Talon's movement is only 20' (full move 80'/round), I imagine everyone else's is probably 30' (full move 120'/round). He's probably fallen a bit behind... "
When Talon arrives puffing he'll charge in the door, "All... right... you... miscreants... now... you're... in... for... it!
Gabriela Szabo
I was assuming Gabbi would arrive sometime after most people with 30ft move and before the 20ft movement people. But also happy with her arriving last because she is likely only to provide atmosphere to this encounter.
Gabbi will pause out of breath for a moment but once the door has been bashed in she'll run and start looking for kids, clowns and anything else.
Rasgraton
Ras has a move of 20 as well. Maybe even slower I will have to check. When I get there I will detect magic.
Well this discussion by necessity must happen later.
Edit: So Ras has a move of 15, assume he is always last in line. Oread have a 20 base move.
dm night-shade
Gur and Talon bust through the door as described. They both have dark vision so this is what they see:
All of you hear a hollow voice from inside the house:
A clown's gotta eat what a clown's gotta eat
and now this clown's got a tasty treat!
I'll take some back to the Harrowstone beat
and show the Warden this scrumptious meat!
Then there is laughter...

DC20 Knowledge local or history
DC15 Dungeoneering
Now what?
Gilderoy Targedew
Yay! The young man sees nothing and knows nothing! Yay!
The young man looks around frantically, not able to see a blasted thing. Taking a piece of the busted door that's nearby, the young man passes a hand over it, the piece lighting up as he tosses it into the darkness. Cast Light on the piece to bring light to the room
Rasgraton
History: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Assuming I made it there I will draw my weapon. Does detect magic tell me anything? How about History?
Gilderoy Targedew
Gilderoy chuckles and waves his finger. "How about you just shut up now?"
And with that, he blows into his open hand, a multi-colored miasma of wind blasting the area around the creature. Color Spray, DC 15 Will save, and if it happens to be undead (humanoid) then my bloodline power lets me still affect it. Yay!
dm night-shade
The clown creature laughs at Gilderoy. Then it reaches into it's clown shirt and pulls out a second meat cleaver. With un-natural speed it closes the distance to Gilderoy...
attack right hand butcher knife: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
The being laughs again as poor Gilderoy slumps to the floor...
ouch. Sorry Gilderoy!
dm night-shade
Seeing his victim fall the clown immediatly turns to Gur and swings with the other other knife...
left hand butcher knife: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Hits.
Clown sings in a metallic voice: All around the mulberry bush the clown chased the orc! Hahaha!. This guy truly is a sick bastard.
Rasgraton
Cure light wounds on Gil
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
You do get the +1 at first level right
Gur
Second action now that I know where the clown is.
Gur takes the blade against his chest allowing it to slide mostly off his armor. Whipping his blade up and through into the clown.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
2d4 + 9 ⇒ (3, 1) + 9 = 13
Rasgraton
Ras probally going last will use his second action swinging his hammer at the clown.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Miss!
Rasgraton bends over his fallen comrad and channles some of Torag's strength into the young man.
This construct must be stopped! he swings his hammer in a wide arc and crushes a lamp.
Talon Darkslayer
Talon will circle around behind (avoiding AoO) to get flanking on the evil freak.
Ranger focus (+2 to hit and damage)
greatsword: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 12
"Hold still freak, daddy's got a present for ya!"
greatsword: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 + 2 = 26
damage: 2d6 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 + 2 = 11
"Happy deathday freak!"
dm night-shade
The clown pauses momentarily when struck by Talon's mighty sword. It's toothy grin fades slightly. It reaches into it's own wound and gathers some of it's own blood on it's fingers...then licks them.
Yummy! it says widening it's grin again! With lightening speed it moves toe to toe with Talon. It giggles horribly as a jet of black gas is emitted from a small flower on the clown's lapel. Within moments the entire room is shrouded in...
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft. level)
Effect fog spreads in 20-ft. radius
Duration 10 min./level
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
A bank of fog billows out from the point you designate. The fog obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can't use sight to locate the target).
A moderate wind (11+ mph) disperses the fog in 4 rounds; a strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the fog in 1 round.
The spell does not function underwater.

Dazed means unable to act, but no reduction in AC for one round. As far as Color Spray, it depends on how many hit dice. Simply put:
2 or less: unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4, blinded and stunned for 1d4, and then stunned for 1 round.
3 or 4: blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, stunned for 1 round.
5 or more: stunned for 1 round.
Gabriela Szabo
The scream only intencifies as Gabbi is surrounded by darkness. Focusing her own fear back on where the creature was she casts 'cause fear'. Now trapped inside the house by this thing and having lost her dirrection in dark she runs encountering the stairs she. scrabbles up them.
Sorry but how many chances will I have to run away up the stairs? Dc for cause fear is 16 but only effects creatures upto 4hd.
dm night-shade
Gabbi knows exactly what this thing is. Perhapse she will reveal the story to everyone...if any of you survive!
No one could catch THE SPLATTER MAN so the Varisian Militia was called upon. The Minutemen finally captured him in the Forest of Vendonia. He was tried and sentenced to Harrowstone Prison, pending an appeal case that would allow the Varisian court to execute him...by disembowelment. But THE SPLATTER MAN was killed in the great fire that burned the prison down over 70 years ago before his death sentence could be carried out...

Antoni Kettler
Knowledge(Dungeoneering): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Toni feels disoriented with the fog and the annoying laughter of the clown. She irately draws her sword and uses the others as an indicator of the monster's position.
Slash!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Toni's sword whirls around her head, causing the fog to swirl a little in response.
Hack!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
It appears that Toni is doing an elegant sword dance, with no practical application. Wait, did she just hit the couch? She hopes so.
Talon Darkslayer
"Simple words, please! How do we kill it? And what're we looking at as weaknesses wise?"
"Damned if I know, that's all I remember. My rule of thumb is, if in doubt hit it really hard!"
Antoni Kettler
Toni swings again, uttering a string of incomprehensible curses in Hallit.
Attack!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Her sword carves up some of the fine flooring. An area rug goes flying, utterly defeated by the imposing fighter.
Well, I'm not being paid for this, so it's not like I have to be immaculate...Yeah, we can just blame it on the clown.
Well, what was that about the Dice Gods?
dm night-shade
The clown creature hidden in the fog is dazed and stunned by Gilderoy's pyro-magical-technics...It pauses momentarily, rubbing it's eyes and shaking it's head.
6 seconds, my beauties...just give this old clown 6 seconds to catch my breath...
The monster skips it's second action this round due to Gilderoys spells. It will skip 1 action next round also, and that will respect the spells effects. Antoni gets one more action. then, end round 1.
START ROUND 2.

1 action? No time like the present1
Talon manouvered to get flanking so someone else must have it as well, right?
Talon racks his brain for anything else he might remember about Dark Stalkers, knowledge nature (dark stalker): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
