As Kieran touches the door it dissolves into thousands of tiny bits, having been rotted by its time underwater.

Just on the other side of the door lurks a giant aquatic reptile with a long neck and large jaws filled with rows of nasty teeth, it bites into Kieran.

The party finds it is difficult to fight underwater, the water resists the movement of your weapons slowing their movement and blunting their impact. Kieran's first two missiles strike but do substantially less damage than normal. Tirnel's missiles appear to behave normally.

I've been saving my martial expertise for a worthy weapon...


The room contains simple wooden furniture designed for beings about twice the size of humans. Tirnel does not detect any magic (except on the warhammer, and all your other gear), however he does find some shards of pottery under one of the tables and one of the shards clearly depicts a pair of cyclops sparring with one another.

Kentaur is certain the warhammer is of dwarven manufacture.

During his exchange of words with Kieran, Kentaur also notices that Kieran is still leaking blood from the bite wounds he received in the underwater scuffle.

*Assuming the group is trying to move along smartly, not being reckless but also not doing extensive searching/studying given the 22 minute duration of the communal stoneskin spell.

No magic or evil detected. Kieran notices that the floor is damp and there are two spots with small puddles about 2’ across. Both puddles are located by the foot of statues, fourth statue to the right, sixth statue to the left. Statues are life sized cyclops and appear to be stone, maybe the weight has caused the floor to sink slightly in those spots?

Kentaur shares that you are at the same level underground as the other room that was underwater, perhaps water is seeping in from below the floor?
