The zombie seems to move faster than Clara would expect, and attacks George as he gets close to the woman!

It's not a creature, per se, but Vayu can target the fleshy umbilical cords connecting the woman to the archway. However, before you do, her readied action goes off...
Vayu steps forward and is about to shoot his pistol when the woman gives an unnerving smile and takes a step forward, as a prismatic spectrum of light leaps forth from her wand! George ignores its effect, but the gunslinger needs to make a DC 11 Will save or taste the rainbow!

He lifts his halberd and charges the zombie-killing zombie. On his journey he can't help but wonder if George felt betrayed by his undead brother.

As he charges, a feeling of eminent failure rushes over Lore, but it passes and he strikes true. Weird. The death of George must have shaken him. He will not cry.

He flails his arms about trying to fend off the scary woman's advances but fails. Her hand merely brushes his right shoulder but brings intense pain quickly replaced by freezing cold. He adjust his grip and stance to apply more strength to his swings with his left side.

Clara moves around the woman, giving her a large berth, while looking for any way to close a portal, or anything else out of the ordinary.

Is there anything Lore can notice about the arch without a perception check from this distance? Does the arch look cracked/destructible? How high up the cylinder is? How it's attached to the arch?

Lore: the cylinder is at the very apex of the arch, which is 15 feet high and made of a strange, glowing, blue-green stone. You can't really see how it's attached without getting closer.
Lore charges (and provokes)! But the half-elf does not connect!

I'm going to use Knowledge Arcana on that Cylinder if I can

If I think it will help, the Celestial Eagle appears in next to the glowing, blue-green Cylinder and full attack.

The magic doesn't appear to come from the cylinder so much as from within it. Clara hears a masculine, albeit thin and reedy, voice within her mind as she focuses on the cylinder. The voice is in Ancient Osiriani and seems to be telling the woman what to do!
Lore still has an action (besides losing points of Strength, I mean)!

Payj sends the eagle in against the arch! It strikes the arch with each attack but seems to have no visible effect! Meanwhile, the dog tries but fails to trip her, then vanishes with its celestial Milk-Bone dog biscuit!
Azimuth shrugs off the effects of the color spray and his attacks hit the cylinder twice, but neither can seem to penetrate its hardness!

The woman shakes off half the Strength damage, but is clearly affected by Clara's spell!
Lore, like Azimuth, is unaffected by the color spray. He withdraws, drawing his shortspear along the way.
