I'm leaving for vacation before the crack of dawn tomorrow, so we're starting the RP now. This is to give you a chance to learn about each other more and actually roleplay. You have until the 29th of July to converse with each other. After that, I'm bringing us back into combat.
Back at the Rusty Dragon you find yourselves seated around a large table with one another. A single lutist plays a calm elven tune while you sit near the hearth with a crackling fire. Despite the recent horrors and dour weather, the inn is in high spirits. Customers drink merely and play dice or cards with each other. A real feeling of peace, if just for these brief moments, wash over you.
Non-exclusive list. Feel free to talk about anything.

Cleo Gingerberry
Furnok, you could make an appearance as his estranged father or third cousin on his second mother's side! One or the other, not both, that would be weird.

I'm gonna do my action anyway, to end our round
Can I 5' step through the door?
If so, that what I do, If not i'll cast defensively.
I'll cast shocking grasp on this tiefling, throwing a card if I moved or touching if I didn't
concentration check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
touch shocking grasp: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
throw card: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 4) = 14
My move action is to move the sphere to the green zombie
flaming sphere: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1) = 12
Cleo Gingerberry
I think the door is open so you should be able to.
Cleo Gingerberry
Cleo is sitting in an oversized chair near the fire, with a warm sweet liquor concoction cupped in her hands. "So you're from Thistlebrook?" she said in a deep fake voice, mimicking the merchant she met on the road on the way to Sandpoint that first day. "I was a little creeped out, cause I didn't know how he could know that, other than me being a halfling of course, but when I asked, he looked over at me, and said 'The smell'" Cleo's cheeks were bright red as she told this.
"I, We!," she adds pointing to Wabbit "... grew up there, so we never knew tanning and leather working was so... fragrant." her town was known for it and the like "I just thought all the biguns who visited were just rude for never staying more than for business.
"I bathed in the creek for a solid hour before the festival and still got winces here and there. The goblins are all that saved me from dying of embarrassment."
She shuffled her shoulders back and forth, "There. I told one. Now someone else has to go! And if any of you'ns back out, so help me-"
Helgarr
By the end of Cleo's recount, Helgarr is laughing hard, almost unable to keep the ale down. Eventually she manages to wipe the tears away and steady herself.
"So that was what I was smelling..." - she sniffs at her halfling friend with a nod - "It all makes sense now..." - then breaks into laughter again.
Once she is steady again, the barbarian girl takes a long drink and clears her throat - "In my Quah, I am not yet considered an adult, and my brothers call me sapling, with the argument I am the weakest and less resilient of us" - she states flat out.
Cleo Gingerberry
"Sa-Sapling?!?" Cleo sputters mid drink, "What- How-" the shock takes a couple of seconds to clear, then...
"Brothers are like that. And do I have... a lot of them, so I understand." She pauses before adding "I truly don't mean to be rude, Helgarr. But if they think that, they are blind... and a little dumb. Brothers seem to have that in common." she gives a empathic smile to her friend.
Helgarr
"No offense taken Cleo - life in the Quah can be... Focused on a certain number of tasks and achievements... Making it hard to see outside of it" - she smiles back at Cleo - "As strong as my brothers may be, and strong they are, they have no real reasons to belittle my own capability - it is just a 'thing' they do" - and takes another drink from her mug, and finishes in a more somber tone - "Until one day they will do it no more"
The barbarian girl then turns to Cleo again - "You have many brothers?"
Cleo Gingerberry
Being so straight forward about her answers makes it hard for Cleo to shoot back at Helgarr's brothers, so she instead answers "Yes, two older and eight younger. The other mothers always called my folks bunnies, which I thought was adorable since what little girl didn't love bunnies. Until I found out what they meant by the nickname." the ginger woman shook her head in mock horror but her playful smile ruined it.
"How many are you blessed with?"
Cleo Gingerberry
Sensing this might be a delicate subject she turns to Brelin "How about your family, Brelin? Your mother lives in town doesn't she?"
Wabbit the Paladin of Chaldira
Until I found out what they meant by the nickname.[/b]" the ginger woman shook her head in mock horror but her playful smile ruined it.
nothing wrong with Wabbits.... They are a proud and noble creature, frequently underestimated. :) I'm glad your family was so.... prolific. Meant there were more hands for the tannery something I had no interest in. But that huge family sure kept you busy Cleo. Don't know how you did it .. You're a Saint in my eyes
Cleo Gingerberry
Cleo as always blushes at praise, never thinking she's deserving of it. "You would think so about the nickname, Wabbit, yours being..." the blush turns crimson when she connect his name to that one meaning.
Sputtering she changes the subject "What about you? You left, SAW the world..." that part said with wonder and a bit of yearning. "... and became a Paladin! Staying home and helping with the young'ns has nothing compared to all that. Tell us a story about your travels, Wabbit." she keeps her cheeks under control "It is your turn I believe."
Helgarr
Being so straight forward about her answers makes it hard for Cleo to shoot back at Helgarr's brothers, so she instead answers "Yes, two older and eight younger. The other mothers always called my folks bunnies, which I thought was adorable since what little girl didn't love bunnies. "How many are you blessed with?"
"Three" - Helgarr nods, then pauses for a moment - "I must admit I miss them, despite their ox like mentality" - and smiles back at Cleo - "Though.... I cannot imagine how I would have survived with TEN brothers and sisters"
Cleo Gingerberry
"Oh no! No sisters. Just brothers, lots and lots of brothers." Cleo exclaims then takes a long sip of intoxication. After which, she narrows her eyes over at Wabbit "And a cousin or twenty. One of which who is NOT sharing."
Helgarr
"You are cousins?" - Helgarr turns to Wabbit and Cleo - "Thought you were... Nevermind" - she chuckles.
Wabbit the Paladin of Chaldira
Cleo's side of the family is so big...I'm surprised she can remember all of her siblings' names. But yes I am one of her wayward cousins and I'm sure that had a vote been taken ten years ago I would have been the recipient of the "Least Likely to become a Paladin" award, and deservedly so.
Wabbit takes a long sip of ale
I left home at an early age and have only survived to live this long by the grace of Chaldira. I was born with more than my fair share of wanderlust and somehow I seem to get myself into some tricky spots Wabbit grins widely
Honestly....I didn't intend to end up leading a band of our kin out of Chelax. It kinda just happens. A tear begins welling as the painful memory begins to resurface... He quickly shoves it back to the jail of his memory where it belongs. Takes another sip of ale and gives his patented grin that all the girls love...but a little forced this time Nasty place Chelax by the way. Looking pointedly at Cleo. not a great vacation spot. Particularly for our folk
It was there that I truly found Chaldira. Sometimes the light shines brightest in darkest places
DM TreasureFox
That light emanating from the crackling fire quickly snuffs out. Pitch-black swirls of smoke fill your vision until you notice Wabbit's hovering ioun stone shining like a beacon. You are in the Sanitorium with Wabbit's light holding back the darkness. Webs envelope the southern half of the room where Caizarlu the Gnomish Necromancer concentrates. The zombies and tiefling brawlers have broken the line, and have been pummeling Cleo, Brelin, and Orik near senseless. Dr. Habe has not only freed himself from the webs, but he's healed his wounds with some sort of regeneration ability.
Brelin sidesteps the tiefling while flicking a harrow card that quivers with static electricity. It hits him square in the chest and though the tiefling can naturally resist some of the energy, it's by far not enough. He recoils from the zap, which leaves a singe mark upon his leather armour. Meanwhile, the flaming sphere begins to roll again, this time towards the zombie. Unlike the tieflings, zombies do not have any resistance to the elements, and its rotten flesh goes alight like a torch. It squeals like a pig for just a moment before collapsing on the ground like a broken, hideous doll. Orik takes this moment to capitalise on the surrounded Tiefling and slices along the side of his ribcage. The Tiefling doesn't look like he's about to quit, but the universal look of fear in his eyes betrays his willpower.
Dr. Habe drinks a potion which immediately covers his skin in thick, scarred tan hide. However, as he tries to weave around the webs he gets himself ensnared once again. He curses Brelin's frustrating magic.
Cleo, Helgarr, and Wabbit's turn.

I've decided to move Habe to the other enemies. This will help streamline combat.

don't forget that everyone is blessed. And Helgarr has bull's strength on, and Wabbit and Helgarr has protection from evil
in the past
Cleo reaches over and pats Wabbit's shoulder, giving him a 'I'm proud of you' smile, then calls it a night... since her drink is empty and she's feeling WAAYYY to warm all over.
back in the present
Being surrounded is horrible the little halfling thinks to herself, yelling for Aggah to try and get the tiefling off her back, as well a directing her bow to do the same.

attack by goblin with a crossbow: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 - 4 = 14

sigh...
As much as the bleeding claw marks are botheirng her to no end, Cleo is afraid of casting while so hurt and harried. She'd love to step back but between tieflings and barbarians, there is no where to go.
So she'll whisper to her magic, making sharp thorns pull from her hand and...

Though Cleo's ranged attacks aren't working out, she quickly turns her little halfling hands into pokey fists. The tiefling brawler would never have imagined the halfling cleric to fist hand-to-hand, but Cleo decks him right in the stomach. This buys Helgarr just enough time to switch weapons and perform an overhead strike right into the tiefling's head. Blood spurts out of his wound and he collapses to the ground dead as can be.
Wabbit's turn.

DM TreasureFox
Wabbit flurries with his wave blade to harry the zombie directly in front of Cleo. Though not enough to kill it, Wabbit does manage to wound it quite a bit.
The two remaining tieflings yell at Helgarr and swear vengeance before barging through the nearby doors. Orik manages to get a really good slash into one of their arms as they run past. The shattering of glass can be heard in the room 2 doors down, but Orik can see that the tiefling he hit was no able to break through the glass like his brother likely did.
Habe and Caizarlu continue to struggle against the webs in vain, while the two remaining zombies slam against Cleo and Wabbit's armour with no effect.

Easier to hit at AC23? Well, I guess in that case maybe I should consider retiring Helgarr, before she is put to shame by that Flurry+Smite+Piranha Strike+Agile enchant :P

I'm not sure that we should burn the webs yet, they seem to be holding the two casters. Maybe it's an easy conc roll but at least there's a chance they'll fail
Brelin enters the room again concentrating on the caster but still directing his ball of fire to do some damage
Clear a path to the caster and I'll do it
5' into the room. Evil eye on Caizarlu, concentrating on his saves. Then move the sphere to the blue zombie (round 3 of the sphere)
DM TreasureFox
Cleo unfortunately isn't making any progress with the ranged weapons, but at least she's fairly safe now that she's stepped back. Both Brelin and Helgarr make very short work of the two zombies there, putting an end to all the undeath in the fight. Now all that remains are the Necromancer and the Bad Doctor, as well as the fleeing tieflings.
Orik and Wabbit's turn.
Brelin I'm pretty sure you've already used evil eye (saves) on Caizarlu before. Do you have a feature that allows you to do that multiple times against the same target?

Take the turn. Not feeling good.
DM TreasureFox
From what I understand, you have to cackle every round in order to keep it going. You can use evil eye on him again, but you'd have to pick something other than saving throws. He doesn't get a saving throw to resist the effect. It's automatic.
Alright DJ, hope you feel better soon. I'll bot Wabbit as well since he's still vacationing.
Brelin weaves her strange magic around Caizarlu, putting the gnome to sleep. Orik charges after the tiefling and deals a terrible wound to it, nearly killing it. The tiefling tries to bash through the window again, but fails. His brother, who is outside, sees the blood splatters and the failed attempt to bash through, so he charges to the other side of the window and punches a large hole in it. Habe pulls himself through one part of the webbing, only to get stuck 5 feet further.
Wabbit gets closer to the webbing, waiting for the flaming sphere to cut him a path.

"If he is running away, LET HIM!" Cleo yells at their deputy.
Aggah loads her crossbow again and shouts something really unpleasant about the gnome wizard's mother and...

Cleo herself will pull out her wand and tap herself with it.

WHAT? No sorry, I missed that somehow. Cleo would not do that. Aggah... maybe, but to the doctor instead please. And thank you.
Brelin
Ok, just to be sure: after an evil eye effect ends, I can't use the same effect again on the same foe? From my reading, that isn't so, I just can't stack the same effect
Anyway, lets move on
Brelin seems to relax a bit as her foes start to fall or flee and turns to the remaing one.
You're alone, yield
She puts power on her words with her magic
Dismiss the sphere and cast slumber on Habe
Helgarr
Fox, if I move to the square SW of Wabbit, will I be caught by the web?
DM TreasureFox
I was wrong, Brelin. Upon rereading the rules today I see where you're coming from. I had assumed that the Evil Eye hex had the "cannot use on the same target for 24 hours" clause that many of the other hexes do. Evil eye does not.
Yes you would, Helgarr. You'd need to either make a cmb check or an escape artist check against DC... 16? Otherwise you get grappled by the web.
Aggah has become infuriated due to missing at least 3 times in a row. She aims at Dr. Habe and fires a deadeye bolt right through his magical protections and into his chest. Habe appears to be about to surrender in fear as his eyelids drop, and he begins to snore while trapped in the webbing.
All enemies have been pacified. Orik can choose to make another attack on the tiefling if he chooses or to let them go. Brelin is well aware of the time limit of the slumber hex.

Ok, thanks for clarifying Fox ;)
Apologies for another question, but can't the web be dispelled?
Guys, we are going to capture these and interrogate them, right?
Helgarr
Nono, I meant Brelin. Can't he dispel the web?
Cleo Gingerberry
"Once they are awake we should offer them a chance to surrender. All their allies are gone and we are still here. They might listen to reason after you gave them a chance to cool down."
She'll also take the time to touch Brelin with the wand.

DC17 is hard Brelin, and we all risk getting tied up in the web. How long until the Slumber wears off? I may have to risk it...
Helgarr
I'll try... :P
Pondering their options for a second, Helgarr simply tries to push through the webbing.
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
And immediately gets stuck.
So, I assume this consumes my movement action - do I get to move anything? 5'? Also, I still have a standard, right? If yes:
