I do apologize that some of you aren't able to get the most out of your characters yet- it's a consequence of being recruited basically at the end of the first act where a lot of the legwork has been done. I can tell you that your research and interpersonal skills will be useful later, but as it stands... all roads lead to Trammel.
Those zoot suited Mexicans might be another piece of the puzzle as to what Trammel is up to, if you decide to tail one of them....
Whether you steal in like thieves in the night, burn the mansion down and bury the horrible thing in the basement under tons of rubble, assassinate Trammel and Walker, try to get in touch with the famously completely not corrupt LAPD, try to find Ayers in Ethiopia or tell Janet that you're throwing in the towel is up to you. And of course other plans may work, but you need to come up with one to get movement happening. Even if you don't have a ton of points in firearms or scuffling, any points help and you can always hope to get lucky- and a good plan can get you farther than wishing that circumstances were different.
Believe you can succeed and maybe you will. Believe you can't and nothing will happen.

I understand, and it's all right.
I do hope our slowness to come up with a plan of action isn't too frustrating. Part of it might be us having missed out on some of the weirder stuff, and being unconvinced of certain things in-character. Before long, I'm sure that we'll all be a bit crazy, so that won't be a problem any longer.

Yeah, I feel like Ralph would have been very useful in the early stages and I'm still trying to get him into book reading mode. I guess the best course of action is for him to grab the big giant crucifix in his office and hoof it to the house...

I will pick back up the pace when I get caught up. Being without power for 4-days, and internet (Except for expensive mobile data), threw me behind, and I'm in PR on a business trip till Friday.

If anyone wants the Trail rules and supplements for a nice price, Bundle of Holding has TWO ToC bundles available- one including Eternal Lies.
It's here!

Anatoly finds that skills he never thought he would need are in demand. He spends more time working on hiding his identity as he has made several enemies now (Disguise +1). He also, is beginning to care for his partners in this ordeal, and is learning to be more supportive and understanding. (Reassurance +1).

If I can offer some advice- getting an investigative skill over 4 isn't going to be that useful. Spends are mostly a method of getting supplemental information/looking cool or setting up an advantageous position for later and you'll rarely need to spend from it more than twice between refreshes, especially if other investigators have the skill. Languages may be the exception to that, since it's handy to be able to communicate in a globe-trotting campaign like this.
Now, if you have Athletics 8 your hit threshold rises from 3 to 4 in combat which could keep you alive a little longer. Outdoorsman might be helpful for a jet-setting playboy like Mr. Westmore or perhaps he's learned the value of Stealth?
As always, it's up to you, but Investigative abilities can benefit from spreading out a little since you aren't spending them on rolls like General abilities.

It just occured to me, since we went the route that Freddy originally suggested, should he gain stability points back?
Also, apologies again for the prolonged absence. It took me a while to bounce back from being sick. Feeling back to 100% now, so I should be good.

Any word on this? I have a feeling Freddy's stability is going to crop up when we enter the room across the hall pretty soon.
Haita the Shepherd
Oh, sorry. I'm going to say your stability remains as-is since the refresh was for appealing directly to another player's Drive to get them to go to the locale with role playing. It seems like the decision was made mostly with logic, which is cool of course, but I wanted to push the Drive mechanic a bit more.

Hey Joseph- I can't see your post right now for some reason, only through the preview blurb in the messageboards. Anatoly hasn't been able to go to the meeting yet since Freddy, Amadeus and Evelyn are doing the hospital excursion on the same night as the warehouse stakeout. Once we resolve this, we'll cut to the meeting. Sorry if it's dragging a little.
Anatoly Dudko
Hi Guys. Work is insane right now, so though I'll keep up and post as needed, I won't be able to expand upon my actions for a couple of weeks.
I think Anatoly is back at the hotel anyway keeping an eye on things. He'll rejoin when the telegraph is anwsered... or not.

I apologize, I'm not sure that there are other leads to follow up on at the moment- you've found out that Donovan's son is in the hospital and another boy is being used as a guinea pig for his treatment and you know his house and warehouse locations. Anything else at this point would involve breaking and entering or coercing Donovan to let you into those places to try and put an end to the cult operations. I will give the guys a little time to pose questions or anything to Donovan and decide what to do but I would recommend giving them some ideas for where to go since it's possible that they are busy/at a loss for how to proceed.

How's everybody doing? Posting has slowed down, so I want to check in with everyone. I apologize that the pacing seems to have slackened, maybe I'm not pushing things forward enough or not providing enough direction? I don't want to step on your toes too much, but I don't want you feeling like you're floundering either. Of course, I understand if everyone is just busy.
Anatoly Dudko
I think we need to work on teamwork a little more. We've kind of drifted into doing out own thing, and waiting for the others to finish before moving on. Let's communicate more about our plans and intentions (especially Anatoly), and try to work together more.

Hey all, I had a family member pass away over this past weekend, so my next few days will be full of family and funeral stuff. This coming weekend is also commencement at the university I work for, which generally takes up a chunk of my time. My posting will be a bit spotty this week as a result. I’ll still check in and post as I can though!
