No worries, we all get. The games I am GMing have become crazy slow due to work stresses.

Korvan Vosh |

Given the number of times I've had to be poked to post in the recent past and the fact that my life is not getting any less busy, I will be taking advantage of Korvan's death and removing myself from the game.
This is in no way a reflection on the game itself or GM_DBH, just a personal choice.

Ah man, I hate that. And I really was thinking something cool might happen with you if we let the robot take you and "operate."

Korvan Vosh |

Oh that may very well still happen, and I'll certainly lurk long enough to see how this plays out.

Raktar Garnok |

We'll be sad to lose you Korvan, you've been great to adventure alongside. Hopefully we'll see you again someday when things settle down.

Dilana Hemlock |

Korvan your time with the group was too short but real life comes first. Maybe when the world calms down we will see you again.

Raktar Garnok |

Agreed, a proper martial character would be good. And maybe another divine caster to share the load with buffs.

Raktar Garnok |

Awesome!
My levelling is likely to come early next week - I’m on holiday this week and it’s going to be too hard to do all the paperwork on my phone.
Looking forward to seeing what we get from the applicants.

Olimpia Beta II |

Might take me a day or two as well. I get my first Advanced Talent. Thinking Opportunist maybe, but that does not go well with Spring Attack. Any advise?

GM_DBH |

@Olimpia.
Bleeding or Crippling attack, though the Bleeding it would be limited to non-robots. (Still plenty of those.)
Vital strike to make the spring attack hurt more.
Fast stealth so it's always a sneak attack.
Distracting attack so your sneak attack leaves them flat footed more the others to hammer.

Olimpia Beta II |

OK, leveling up...
Thanks for the talent thoughts DHB. I have had rogues with Bleeding attack in the past. I find that fights don't last long enough to make a difference usually. Besides it's not an advanced talent. Crippling Strike is nice. On the desired list for sure. Not sure I can spring attack and Vital Strike at the same time. Spring Attack is full round. Olimpia can cast Vanish so Fast Stealth is not as desirable as it otherwise might be. And while I agree that Distracting attack is nice, it replaces my sneak attack damage. Not sure that is worth it as no one will be able to capitalize that well on the enemy being flat footed. And its also not an advanced talent. Hmm. Thinking I want to try Opportunist. I can also take a Vigilante talent. So many good options. Sure footed includes Fast Stealth benefits +. Thinking I will go with this. Full speed with Stealth, Acrobatics, and difficult terrain. :)
I always forget how to do HP. Happy to take average but if we roll, here is a roll
HP: 1d8 ⇒ 3
She gains +1 BAB and +1 to Reflex saves
She takes the Sure Footed rogue talent and picks up her second Rogues Edge, taking Escape Artist. This lets her escape things faster or get +10 to the attempt.
She gains a new feat: Spring Heeled Sprint
And she gains 9 skill points.

GM_DBH |

No update tonight. I have to go out and be social.
Recruitment thread is up and running. Have a look and send me your thoughts on who you like. Recruitment

Erigga Ironheart |

Hi guys, thank you for having me. I hope we have lots of fun together.
I believe Erigga is ready to go... so hurry up and save her ass from the cold operating table, please!
@GM-DBH: Is Erigga conscious and on the same room as Elrys? Not sure how you want to introduce us and how long it will take, but perhaps me and Elrys could already start some talk or escape attempt.

Raktar Garnok |

Welcome Erigga, looking forward to adventuring beside you.
I think we're just waiting for our witch to finish her levelling then wel'll come save you!

Elrys Valrassedin |

Hey guys, also a big thanks from me! I'll do my best to make Elrys memorable and to support you all.
I'm posting from the netherlands. Usually my available time is somewhere after 10 in the evening, so they will be a bit late on CET. Im on a vacation for the next 3 days but i can probably sneak a post in on each day.
Elrys is ready to go. I'll use the umd version of her stats with a slight tweak so that her umd is a bit lower than posted but retaining her more cheaper buffed good hope spell.

Olimpia Beta II |

Welcome to both of you. I look forward to meeting the new characters and playing together. Elyrs, where in the Netherlands? I wonder if you know Auke Teeninga?

I live near The Hague. And yes! I know him from a long while back through the d&d scene there, though i haven't seen him since a pathfinder convention in germany a year or so ago. I've been a bit busy with my family and haven't been active in the dutch pathfinder scene for a while.
Are you from the netherlands as well? How do you know Auke?

Olimpia Beta II |

I am from the US in the south and am in the process of moving from North Alabama to Southern Indiana (350 miles north). But I have traveled and vacationed in the Netherlands and worked some in Noordwijk with ESA. And I has a good friend go to work for NATO and visited him while he was working in Den Haag. His house was in Wassenaar. I have lots of fond memories of my visits there and hope to visit again after this pandemic passes. My last trip there was just a long layover in the airport. But long enough to hop on a train and ride into Amsterdam for breakfast and to watch all the bike commuters. :)
Auke and I have been in a couple games together and have become friends. Today is his birthday by the way.

Dilana Hemlock |

Welcome folks.
I will finish my leveling tonight, I got caught up in spell selection.

Ah, thanks for the reminder. I've been slacking on the birthday calenders a bit during this holiday. Nice to know you guys are friends!
ALso, I did some minor final tinkering with Elly and now she's fully ready to go :)
For those of you interested in what I did:
I went through the cleric spell list again, looked up some missing spells between our profiles and studied it so that there's no overlap with Raktar or Dilana. Well, except for absolutely critical spells (haste effects, lesser restoration etc.)
I also tried giving Elly a few more flavorfull spells that might help us in this... spaceship ruin (?). Fun spells like discharge, make whole and greater make whole. Might turn out to be completely useless but I figured a technologist siege engineer like her would logically have them prepapred :)
Finally, I slightly tinkered with her consumables and prepared spells to free up 1500 g (I.E. no life bubble scroll, instead prepared it) and bought a wand of hightened awareness and wand of moment of greatness instead. Elly is very squishy and would benefit from slightly higher initiative if in predictably dangerous territory, and I like having the moment of greatness wand for additional buffing options in battle.
By the way, should I remove a random number of charges from the wands? It's a bit weird of me to have never used any of them before, especially in this sutation.

HP: 1d6 ⇒ 1 WOOHOO
Spells:
Greater Heroism
Cone of Cold
Feat:
Extra Hex - healing
Skill:
Knowladges and Spellcraft

GM_DBH |

Dilana, I take it you're taking the average for hitpoints?
I'm playing it that Figgy is hit hard by Korvans death and leaves the party. Adventuring isn't fun for him at the moment. It does mean he can return if he does start posting.
I'm hoping it's just being too busy to post for his player and not something more serious.

Elrys Valrassedin |

Erigga & Elrys, you are both up in the game thread.
Great! I'll write up her introduction somewhere this evening. If I may, two quick questions beforehand: are there any effects from waking up for a pod other than being drowsy at the start? As in, is it like a cryogenic stasis thing or just deep slumber? I tried to lookup similar technology from starfinder but couldn't find anything on short notice.
Secondly, are there any notable features in the room other than the pods and the party members? Is it a level of technology clearly beyond anything that can be encountered in less dangerous area's of Numeria?

GM_DBH |

As far as you can remember you were injured and then injected with something by the Reclamation robot. Everything went black until you feel yourself awakening. You feel fully healed and are only confused by going from unconscious to wake almost instantly.
The walls of this impressive chamber are covered with gray metal plates and decorated with flashing lights, pulsating glass panels, and strange mechanical devices. White glowing strips fill the chamber with harsh lighting, and the floor is etched with complex swirling patterns composed of thousands of tiny symbols. Banks of machinery and technolog ical workstations fill the areas to the north and south, while a large metal panel in the southern wall breaks the pattern of smaller plates adorning the wall.
The numerous machines and worktables in this chamber can be recognized with a successful DC 25 Knowledge (engineering) check as a functional combined production and military lab usable for the production of technological items that require either of these resources. Note that a military lab requires 100 charges to function and a production lab 50,
so unless the generator itself powers down the complex's traps and lighting, there's not enough available yield to run both labs simultaneously-currently, only the military lab portion is powered.

Elrys Valrassedin |

I'll skip my post today; while I could respond to Erigga, I'm guessing the other players are busy and that they'd like a bit more time. Also, I would like some recap as to what the party has achieved so far and what brought them here before these questions from the recent posts become buried and go unanswered :) Have a nice rest of the weekend, everyone!
