Dilana Hemlock
Were a few grand short each of being able to make +6 headbands Figgy :) ALmost tempted to save my pennies, almost.
Figgy Greasefitter
Head band of Int +2 (+2 heal skill)- 4k
EMP pistol Figgy crafts if the right stuff is there - 4k
I Still have 10k left
Edit: What language should I pick, do you wnat to limit it to things in this area?
Dilana Hemlock
I am correct in think we need to travel to sell this stuff and by materials and equipment?
GM_DBH
You can't craft tech items without the matching tech laboratory. Which are very rare and under Technic league control.
You will be finding your own labs throughout the adventure though.
Yes, you will need to travel to sell everything. Which is why I mentioned Hajoth Hakdos.
Dilana Hemlock
I am unclear if we need to deal with traveling first. I kind of put the decision on the back burner assuming we needed to travel and what not.
GM_DBH
You're between books, so you've arrived in Hajoth Hakados without any problems. Sold all your loot and now you can spend your money.
Hajoth Hakados is a trade city built on people coming from around Golarion to buy any tech being sold, so no problems selling your goods.
Figgy Greasefitter
is there a shop here we can make stuff or is that further into the 3rd book? Figgy is going to buy a head band of intellect with +2 to the heal skill on it.
I would like to make a pistol for him but if we don't have the required work shop that can wait.
Dilana Hemlock
Below is contingent on having enough time to craft the items. I do not think a roll is needed to craft any of the items below. Figgy I can make you your headband to save money.
I would like to sell my Headband of Vast Intellect +2 (2000gp sale) and get the materials to craft a Headband of Vast Intellect +4 (8,000gp).
Also crafting a Handy Haversack (1000gp) would be useful.
Not sure if I want to save the rest towards later projects or get some other toys. Frankly this will take a few days as it stands so need to know about time as well.
Raktar Garnok
I'll have to take a little time to work out what I want to buy or craft - got a lot of cash to sort out.
Just a reminder that I have Craft Magic Arms & Armour, so at CL 7 I can sort people out with weapons or armour up to +2, so long as people provide the masterwork item to be enhanced alongside the cost of the materials.
Figgy Greasefitter
Dilana I have the potions to help with the spells since I bought them and use them to make potions from. I also still have the actual potions since I have a kit that allows me to take a drop of the required potion and scribe it into my book.
Jeremiah Johnston
Had such a busy weekend that I have yet to decide what to spend fat stacks on. I will hit da books after a good nights sleep and reflecting on the Solo movie.
Jeremiah Johnston
Let's see... I'll buy myself some Eyes of the Eagle (2500 gp). Otherwise, I'mma ask Raktar to upgrade my +1 Inferno Pistol to a +2 Inferno Pistol (3000 gp in Crafting Mats/6 days crafting if I did my math right), upgrade my +1 Mithril Chain shirt to a +2 Mithril Chain shirt (1500 gp/3 days crafting), upgrade my +1 Buckler to a +2 Buckler (1500gp/3 day crafting). From there, I'll save my money so Dilana can build me a belt or headband down the line.
Upgrading Rules come from the D20PFSRD: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/
Also, Solo was good. I recommend the movie to anyone who's interested.
Raktar Garnok
To sell:
+1 earthbreaker - 1170gp
Gives me 18346gp to spend
To make for myself:
Upgrade +1 smart armour to +2 smart armour - 1500gp, 2 days
Upgrade +1 chainsaw to +2 chainsaw - 3000gp, 6 days
Including JJ's stuff that's 18 days crafting so far.
To ask Dilana to make for me:
Upgrade cloak of resistance +1 to cloak of resistance +2 - 1500gp, 2 days
Make headband of alluring charisma +4 - 8000gp, 8 days
14000 gp spent leaves me with 4346gp so far.

Choices, choices, choices...
First, Olimpia does want that Skillslot installed. Then she will need to buy at least one skillchip. A Mark II that grants +4 to a skill is 3600. Lets go with Perception. Could such a chip be crafted?
Gear wise Olimpia needs eyes of the Eagle too, for 2500.00, or crafted for half that.
A cloak upgrade makes sense from +1 to + for 3000 gold, or crafted for 1500.
I am thinking she should by, or have crafted an adamantine Wakizashi and have it enchanted to +1. That would let her sell her regualr +1 Wakizashi.
It also makes sense to ungrade her armor to +3 for 3000, or have that crafted for 1500.
And its a good idea to work on her AC, so she will pick up a +1 ring of Protection and a +1 Necklace of Natural Armor. Each are 2000 gold, or half that if crafted.
She has a total of 16062 to work with.
3600 Skill chip
2500 Eyes
3000 - Cloak upgrade
3867 (5035 - 1167.5) - +1 Adamantine Wakizashi upgrade
3000 - Armor upgrade
2000 - +1 Ring
2000 - +1 Necklace
________
19967 - total if no crafting.
Dilana Hemlock
I think I figured my costs wrong. Upgrading my headband is cheaper then selling and buying a new one is it not? It would save me 2000gp?
Crafting is pretty new to me, I tend to trust my players when GMing, so I want to make sure I get this right.
Jeremiah Johnston

Upgrading takes less money, but more downtime. Good for when your not on a timer, but inconvenient when the world ends in 5 days or less. All you need to do is make up the price difference from the lesser version to the upgraded version. Buying an upgrade uses full price, crafting is half price.
Example:
Headband of Vast Int +2 - 4000 gp total
Headband of Vast Int +4 - 16000 gp total
Market Price difference: 12000 gp
Upgrading cost: 6000 gp and 12 days of crafting.
Why 12 days? Crafting rules use the market price for crafting time, not crafting price.

Yes, but impossible until level 10. We'd need Craft Technological Item, at least 10 ranks in skill to be encoded, and a cybernetics lab. We currently lack all of those. Still, you buy one now, we can upgrade it later potentially. I might take the feat as my next one since I rely more on batteries now.
Also GM, how much Downtime will you give us for this first round of crafting?
Raktar Garnok

So it does. Good spot JJ. My crafting time estimates are off for a few items.
Also, I think we picked up a power cable along the way somewhere. Are we keeping that as a party item to be able to recharge all out stuff quickly?
GM_DBH
Some interesting stuff I've been reading. Olimpia to have the Skill slot installed will take a Heal DC30!
Each piece of Cyberware has an implantation value. The value of all the cyberware you have installed can't surpass your Con total.
A Skill slot has an implantation value of 1, but as it connects directly to the brain is a very invasive piece of cyberware, which is reflected by the high skill needed to install it.
It doesn't say you can't take 20 on installing it though. Sooo.. Raktar do you feel like rumaging around insde Olimpias head?
Raktar Garnok
Sadly I can't take 20 on the Heal check because there's a penalty for failure.
When you have plenty of time, you are faced with no threats or distractions, and the skill being attempted carries no penalties for failure, you can take 20...
Since taking 20 assumes that your character will fail many times before succeeding, your character would automatically incur any penalties for failure before he or she could complete the task (hence why it is generally not allowed with skills that carry such penalties).
On a failed check, the target still takes the Constitution damage but the installation fails; a new attempt to install the cybertech can be made, although it's wise to wait for the Constitution damage to heal before trying again.
Even with Aid Another, without the use of spells, I'd need an 18 to not do damage. Sorry Olimpia, it's a bit beyond me at this stage.
Olimpia Beta II
On top of all that there is no direct benefit to having it installed. It still needs a skillchip to be worth anything.
Lets compare. 2000 gp for the slot (1000 in this case as that is its sell value), 200 to install, and 3600 for a +4 to a skill. So 5800 for +4. But Eyes of the Eagles are 2500 for a +5. Hmm... Its no wonder that few players use Cyberware. Of course they stack so that is nice.
And its just thematic for an android I think. Plus, imagine having a small case of skillchips - one for any need. :) Takes 10 or 15 minutes for the skill to settle in though.
Figgy Greasefitter
They are a "slotless" bonus right that isn't one of the "Major six" items. Seeing as they stack which is super nice as well.
Figgy would do it and his heal check once he gets his head band is +9, less than Raktar's but there are other things we can get/do to increase our rolls. I can aid without failing as well.
Olimpia Beta II
And there is guidance and healing kits and surgeons tools (seems quite relevant here). But still, it would be nice to get into the take 10 range and I think we are levels away from that total of a +20.
So how are these things intended to be of use?
Dilana Hemlock
Final shopping / crafting list for Dilana provided there is enough time.
Crafting upgrade of cloak of resistance to +3 (4000gp)
Crafting Handy Haversack (1000g0)
Crafting Upgrade to Headband of Vast Intellect to +4 (6000gp)
In torch I am going to give some gold to her drunken father hoping he will be proud of her.
Remaining gold: 3877 which I am saving for a Corset of Dire Witchcraf unless one of my teammates needs some extra scratch.
If all this is good, along with the other crafting, I am ready to move on.
Olimpia Beta II
So how much, if any, crafting can Olimpia count on from the group?
Here was her wish list. Crafting would be half the price.
2500 Eyes of the Eagle
3000 - Cloak upgrade to +2
3867 (5035 - 1167.5) - +1 Adamantine Wakizashi upgrade
3000 - Armor upgrade to +2
2000 - +1 Ring
2000 - +1 Necklace
Dilana Hemlock
If its a 'wondrous item' Dilana can do it as long as there is time. Not looking it up but I would think I can do the Eyes of the Eagle and I know I can do the cloak.
Raktar Garnok
I can do the armour and weapon upgrades no problem.
Olimpia, my character sheet says that you owe me 550gp, I think from the maths balls-up I made last time we did crafting. Are you happy to pay that back now, or do you want to wait?
Olimpia Beta II
Ratkar. My sheet says it is paid back, so please add it into your total.
If we have unlimited crafting time that is great. Otherwise we have to prioritize somehow.
Raktar Garnok

Thanks, will do.
GM_DBH
chance: 1d100 ⇒ 24
Olimpia there is a Perception +4 chip available.
As for the benefit, as has been said cyberware can be used with Magic items, so it's a bonus. Some of the later Cyberware is very tempting.
With the Skill slot the benefit is having skill chips for various skills and using them as the situation requires.
There is a healer in Hajoth Hakados who can install it, he even has his own Skill slot with a Heal chip . :)
Jeremiah Johnston
Also, I think we picked up a power cable along the way somewhere. Are we keeping that as a party item to be able to recharge all out stuff quickly?
Don't see why we'd throw it away since a majority of us use tech. Anyway, since the GM hasn't said no to anything, I'm going to assume my crafting things are approved and start modding my profile as appropriate.

I was checking we didn't all want one each or anything. Not sure how our power requirements will develop over the next few levels.
I'll get adding my new items as well. Better look up what the chainsaw does!

I'll get adding my new items as well. Better look up what the chainsaw does!
Whatever it does I am betting it does not do bludgeoning. Are you sure you want to see that nice hammer?
Raktar Garnok
I could keep it as a back up I suppose. lead blades affects all the melee weapons on me when it's cast, so it wouldn't drop my damage output too much.
Thanks Olimpia, good call.
Dilana Hemlock
Having just finished Ash Vs The Evil Dead I can say that a chainsaw is the ultimate weapons and all others pale, except a boom stick.
God I am board at work.
Olimpia Beta II
OK. I have added all my gear and paid for everything, paying full price for the skill chip and 200 gp for the procedure to install the skillslot.
Due to excellent crafting support I have some gold left, and I find that I am carrying more weight than I need to be to maintain light encumbrance. So I need to either buy (2000 gp) or have crafted (1000 gp) a handy haversack.
Olimpia Beta II
Also considering buying a few wands of useful spells and wondering if partially charged wands might be available.
Potential wands are:
Blend
Expeditious Retreat
Infernal Healing
Obscuring Mist
Shield
True Strike
Wanted to get Comprehend Languages as my first choice but its not on the Magus spell list.
Figgy Greasefitter
So Far Figgy has bought Has 18,624
Head Band of Int +2 (+2 heal) 4000
Cloak Resistance +1 --> +2 if there is time 3000
Can I buy this? This will be fun 3000
what about this? Awesome jacket
Figgy also has +26 to craft Alchemy so if you need a potion ask him
Olimpia Beta II
If Olimpia buys a fully charged wand of Shield and 10 charges of each of the others that is 1500 gp. And that will give her some additional options in and out of combat.
GM_DBH
Olimpia You can get the Wand of Shield and one other.
The city is running low on magic to sell with the shopping the party has down.
If I haven't said no to your spending you have the items. So I'll have the start of Book 3 up for everyone to act on in 24 hours.
Iron Gods 3 - The Choking tower.

Just a heads-up that I'm going away for four days after work this evening so my posting might be a bit spotty. I'll try to keep up with things while I'm away but normal posting will resume on Monday.
