solving a minor problem for us. One of the two high level spell will definitely do it, but the break enchantment might failed. We will see for ourselves tomorrow night. she winks at him
turning back to richard
Can you give us the price tag of each item in advance? she smiles

Esther will explain it to you on the way back after leaving the merchant
Because some of the creatures one can call with a lesser planar ally can plane shift at will. Making it possible for us to transport everyone from here to over there via the planes in under 10 min. she smiles

This night passes peacefully.
The morning sun burns away a clinging mist and, before long is poised to scorch the skin of the unwary: the day promises to be hot.
Everywhere people mill about on errands of business and pleasure. Fisherman, ferryman, pleasure boaters, and more teem around the dock and harbor with more than an occasional glance cast at the unknown ship in the wrecked dock.
It is mid morning (10am-ish), no problems yet. What do you do to pass the day.
Mortimer Talinth
Mortimer rises from his sleep, spending a few minutes in the warm sun before finding the others. "I intend to go into town for a hot meal and some bookkeeping. I'm going to see what kind of magic is available in a town like this, perhaps our contact has what I seek."
Going to use some of Mortimer's share to go copy down some spells, depending on what's available. After having a hot breakfast somewhere, he's sick of preserved food.
Mortimer Talinth
Mortimer turns to the ladies. "You two should stay here, we should go out in pairs to the city."
On the way Mortimer fills Erasmus in. "We had a brilliant stroke of luck, it started with a halfling, go figure, and he led us..." Mortimer tells the rest of the story as they go into town.
I assume you were following along Erasmus?
Also, a note, now that we are out of combat Mortimer might seem rude. And he is, but I just wanted to catch this early and remind you of player/character separation. Mortimer is blunt and rude unless he is talking to a superior.
Esther Pennycoat
Well erasmus it all depends on what our contact can get the high end option is the Wish / greater planar Ally. The low end option is the Heal+Break enchantment. And i will be reading these scrolls. I will be staying on the ship with our charges, for the day.
Mortimer Talinth
That is correct GM. We are going to find breakfast, then I am going to a magic shop to see if I can pay for permission to copy spells. It is of my opinion that we do not buy fresh food for the slaves since it will raise suspicious why we are buying so much food with only four people on our boat. And they already have enough preserved food to eat off of anyways, especially since we are only going to be here a little bit longer (hopefully).
Erianna
Erianna frowns - "Esther... You know I hate those things..." - she stares back at the man for a while - "I cannot simply go over there and capture anyone without even knowing if we are facing friend or foe. You know that" - her sister knew her, Erianna was not one to announce her moral principles to the four winds, but they were there, firmly planted in the young woman's soul.
"I have nothing against striking a conversation with him, or her. But that is it Esther" - she reinforces.

Erianna is going to cast a message spell so that she and i can communicate. She is going to use her stealth skill to slip out of the ship unseen and hide near the person watching on us. Once in position she will signal it to Esther via message spell. Esther will then casually disembark from the ship and then head over to the person spying on them. Should he flee Esther will "let" him get away so that he feels confident about having escaped pursuit. Erianna will shadow him to see what happens and will message Esther so that she can keep up from afar.

That's a LOT of rolls - so some are bound to fail ;)

Well done Erianna! You are in the most advantageous position possible.
The cloaked figure, now that you are closer, is in fact a dark haired woman. Shock registers for the briefest second on her face at Esther approach and her eyes flick to the ship then back to Esther.
"I do not have time for meal alas. I have been staring, as you say, because I am wondering where you have come from, and perhaps where you are going. I can see you have no worthy seamen aboard, so I am thinking you need a crew, yes?"
Erasmus Randall
I suppose that's part of it. I also just like fighting and hate, well, enemies of the state that much. I guess you could say I'm a true patriot.
Bluff to pass secret message: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
He just hates slavers that much
