Lisbarr Gorrowsel |

Lisbarr has been looking on in disbelief.
"Well I wasn't expecting that!". He moves towards the newly infused sword.
"Well, er, Akemi. I hope you are happy in there. Er... glad for your help and all that."
Lisbarr scoops up the residuum and the scrolls, which he looks at with interest. He gestures to the rest of the loot. So... what about all this?
(Lisbarr is looking covetously at the cloak).

Rev DM |

Re who wants to use Ruinblade - that's up to you are players. Norrin can use it now, but if Lyan wants to make the necessary adjustments as part of his levelling process he can.
Re the rest of the loot, I'm guessing you're taking it, but do you have a means of transporting the stuff? There's quite a bit and it's not that light.
Lisbarr bids farewell to the Avenger in his own way, while Norrin seems more affected than he'd previously revealed.

Rev DM |

Ruinblade settles into Lyan's hands, changing its grip slightly to accommodate the hobgoblin's fingers.
Amid the clutter at the back of Moghadam's store cupboard, Norrin spots something of interest. An unstrung bow lurks, clearly an important weapon, but one which the wraith seems to have overlooked.

Rev DM |

It is a great rarity, even though Moghadam seems to have disdained it.
Even before your first attack with this weapon hits its mark, you follow it up with another one.

AnriTheWanderer |

+1 for Extended Rest. Doesn't matter where, just somewhere safe.
Anri looks at Ruinblade hopefully, "...you know? Maybe we can bring her back some day? I've seen mighty servants of deities do it with less to work with than a magic sword."
She sounds more like she's trying to convince herself than anyone else. She absently picks up the new staff, and starts spinning it, running through an old combat form with an oddly blank expression.

AnriTheWanderer |

We're all awfully quiet these days. :( Well, the trick with the gargoyle is that if we know where it is, we might be able to just run like the dickens to get past it...assuming we can make the acrobatics checks. Anri can. Who in the party would need someone to carry them to pull it off?

Rothel Nelis |

Do we have like a tongues or comprehend languages ritual? We could just use it on our most intimidating, and they can point out that we will win, we just were in a hurry last time. We will beat him down in his stoneform, it will just take a while longer than we would like.

Lisbarr Gorrowsel |

Apologies for being so remiss at posting. I've been in a different universe, but I'm back now.
Rev also asked me to say she is having computer problems so posting may be erratic for the next few days.
Lisbarr has picked up the cloak, but tentatively offers it to Anri.
"Er... if you think you will use it better than I will, then I'll try not to be jealous if you take it. But, if you don't really want it, then I don't mind keeping it."
Lisbarr doesn't really have any appropriate rituals that I can think of. He really needs to visit the ritual shop the first chance he gets. Maybe it will remember us and just not want to fight any more. Or we do what we did last time. keep it still while we all get out.

Norrin Axebeard |

Norrin scours through Moghadam's personnel records for stuff to use against the gargoyle for the inevitable notice of termination of employment interview. He hauls along the portrait of Moghadam as a living being under his arm as evidence.

Lyan Hurzin |

"Let's do what we did last time, but without all the messing around first. I'll try to keep it pinned while you tumble to the exit. Just someone stay close enough for me to get to you."
I.e., shadow step - lets me teleport 4 from adjacent to one creature (Rocky) to adjacent to another.

Rev DM |

Lyan gets his flail out and prepares to hold Rocky in place while the rest of the party make their way cautiously over the gravity-stricken room to the opposite door.
It will take you 5 turns to get across if you all go slowly. Lyan needs to hit Rocky 5 times to hold him and keep the Shadow Step Tango going. Roll away Lyan. If you miss, Rocky will act, but will have to come out of stone form first.

Lyan Hurzin |

I only have Shadow Step as an encounter. I more meant one person (with good Acrobatics) staying strung out so I can get to that person. Here are a few rolls vs Will anyway. Also, I mark Rocky TEOE first. He can also attack me freely, but I'm built for that . . . Finally, Ruinblade, not a flail :)
1d20 + 23 ⇒ (12) + 23 = 351d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 251d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 401d20 + 23 ⇒ (11) + 23 = 341d20 + 23 ⇒ (16) + 23 = 39

Rev DM |

Lyan furthers his acquaintance with Ruinblade as Lisbarr eases gradually across the floor (followed, he hopes, by his companions). Rocky gets only one shot at the hobgoblin as the blade swings past him and muffs it, the brutality of the attacks swiftly reminding the creature of the unwisdom of attacking this particular party.
He rolled a 1. I've made two attack rolls since my belated return. A 2 and a 1. At least I can't roll any worse at this point.
Extricating yourselves from the remainder of the tomb proves simple enough, leaving only the question of where you plan to go. The Skullbreakers offered you a welcome should any of you survive.

Norrin Axebeard |

Having found that a good night's sleep has improved his acrobatic and linguistic faculties, Norrin deploys the Flying Hook and makes his own way along the rope.
Norrin informs Rocky, in Primordial, that Moghadam won't be paying him any more and that he should take what he can before the creditors turn up. This is while suspended on a rope, taking a potshot at the gargoyle with his hand crossbow… 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (17) + 23 = 40
one person (with good Acrobatics) staying strung out so I can get to that person.
…and staying close enough to act as a teleportation beacon for the hobgoblin.
"Yeah, let's visit the Skullbreakers. They'll be happy and surprised to see us again… well, definitely surprised."
As a precaution, Norrin will stealthily reconnoitre the immediate area to ensure nothing will see the party use the molar secret entrance.
Stealth 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (12) + 19 = 31
Perception 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (5) + 21 = 26

Rev DM |

Some teething troubles with new computer. We're learning to love each other.
Norrin's parting shot puts a dent in Rocky, but his information about Moghadam really makes the Gargoyle consider a change of occupation.
Apart from some light skirmishing among the inhabitants of Skull City, there is nothing to prevent the group from making their way toward the correct molar. The skirmishers are entirely occupied by their own affairs and are, in any case, some little distance away.
