"Why you're a poet, it's a lovely story. I'll drink the last of my wine with you, I don't drink more then a glass a day. My thirst for liquid might get hard to control if I get to much to drink so I avoid it. And I also had to avoid letting my old masters smell I took some of the wine so I am only accustomed to one glass at a time." She says toasting the halfling and taking a sip of the wine.

The door to The Silver Chalice suddenly opens, and a large muscular man with keleshite features quickly enters the tavern, shutting the bar door behind him, and pushing his back against the door. Moments later, the sound of heavy pursuit can be heard running past the door outside and fading away. The handsome scimitar-wielding warrior opens the door a crack to see where the pursuit has gone. Breathing a small sigh of relief, the newcomer with a shiny armband composes himself and saunters into the room as if nothing happened. Noticing the motley crew of fellow graduates at the large common table, the newcomer walks over.
"Greetings fellow Silver Shield members, might I join you fine folk in your libations?"
Without asking, the stranger sits down in a chair facing the door and introduces himself.
"My name is Amed Alsaakhib-Alraed, master of spell and steel, at your service", spoke the man with a practiced grin.

A little later than expected (compared to everyone else it would seem) enters a brash young human boy. a brown dog by his side.
He is dressed in what appears to be pieced together leather armor and a worn shortsword at he side. a well used small battered buckler attached to his left forearm. and sporting his newly acquired armband, that all here see, to also have) on his right arm.
Hey Duke! he begins, apparently addressing his dog, we finally made it. It just a matter of time before everyone will remember the names Liam and Duke. the greatest warriors the world has ever seen
before Liam takes another step, Duke rushes of into the crowd sniffing around like he is on to a scent.
Duke! what is it boy? he asks as he rushes after him. trying make his way through the crowd.
Duke suddenly stops at a goblin, growling and barking.
he sniffed out tindertwig, duke was almost eaten by goblins and does not initially trust them. sorry about that lets see how this plays out.
Also I am not sure any of us know each other during the course of the trials or training.

Tush answers several questions before Liam enters the tavern. "I'm from Varisia. Yes that's where I got my tattoos. My kind of magic?" She looks pleased with herself. "I'm a sorcerer. I have djinni blood in my veins, but my real interest lies in necromancy. You see I'm not a bright happy gnome. I'm what they call a dread gnome. I specialize in rays." She taps her bracelet.
"Uncle Istis' lucky bracelet helps me hit better with my rays when there are people right next to an enemy. Well it helps some of the time."
She glares at the dwarf when he asks about cooking. I don't cook. Well I do but I might poison the food just to see what happens."
Tush watches in amazement as Liam and Duke enter the room. "How old is he? He looks like a young human. She looks on in fascination as the goblin, and the dog have their altercation. "Why are you betting on the frog?" she asks Grimlak. "It's just a little thing compared to the really big dog."

"We all need to earn our place, and even a goblin can be part of the shields if the leaders deem it worthy."
"If the frog is a familiar I expect your bet will be won." Nicenzia says with a grin towards Grimlak
Setteling back down she drinks from her wine and turns her attention back to Tush. "Sounds like a really useful bracelet, the varisien who made my umbrella put some magic in it so that bright light doesn't hurt my eyes anymore. Oh where is my manners I'm a sorcerer with the power of undeath flowing through my veins. Maybe we can compare our knowledge of necromancy sometimes."

Gonna skip over all the posts so far because Hanz wasn't there for them.
The floor rumbles as something very large approaches the door. It opens to reveal a massive man taking up the entire frame. And tall enough you can't see his face. He pauses for a moment, then ducks to entire, taking almost a comical amount of care to enter without breaking anything. Once fully in he still comes close to smacking his head on a ceiling beam. He is not pretty with his slightly thicker forehead, bushy eyebrows and off kilter jaw. It is also apparent he is not that bright as it takes him several moments to find Alinna (she is forced to wave him over). "Hello Ali," he says a little louder than necessary. His voice is a deep base that you can almost feel in your bones and his smile is full of square, blokish teeth. Surprisingly straight though. At least he's friendly.
He makes his way over with the same comical care he took to get in. He manages to make his way over without too many mishaps and finds an open seat. He pulls it back and flops down. It holds for about a second before there is a loud snap and Hanz ends up on the floor. He hurridly gets up and surveys the damage. "Oh no. Hanz did bad," he mumbles as he tries to put the broken pieces back together. He almost gets something resembling a chair before it falls apart again. He looks sadly at the pieces. Giving up, he scoots into the spot the chair was and sets on the floor. He looks over at Ali, embarrassed, "Sorry, I's broke ano'der."

The door to the Silver Chalice creaks open, and a tall, lithe, otherworldly young woman slips in, seemingly out of the darkness of the night itself. She stops short, taking in the crowded room, the colorful cast, and all the commotion, then moves to the most unoccupied, most dimly lit corner of the tavern she can find. There she sits, not bothering to remove the hood of her cloak, and fiddles with her new uncomfortable silver armband. When Alinna finds her and offers a drink, she glances around the room, her eyes landing on the other likewise pale darkhaired woman.
Whatever she's having, she mumbles and gestures at Nicenzia with a dismissive wave of a gloved hand.

She leans forward and introduces herself, The name's Swen, then leans back in her chair and looks about the motley crew once again. Quite a cast this Colewin has gathered for himself, she observes, I wonder how well we'll come together in the field.
When Alinna returns with her wine, Swen raises her glass to the assembly in general. To new beginnings, she toasts with a marked lack of enthusiasm.

A plethora of strange (and disgusting) items make their way haphazardly from their tomb (the back pack) to the table.
Amongst the dirty debris and dung encrusted tools, the happily whistling goblin screetches,

Shrugging its shoulders, the toad goes back to licking one of Tindertwig's big ears.

Zardu entered the Silver Challice at a slow ambling pace. His dark skin tone, platinum blonde hair and violet eyes making him clearly a person of Varisian descent even without seeing the tattoos on his well muscled frame. A scimitar sat at his right hip with a dagger on the other. His buckler was stashed in the high quality back pack slung over one shoulder, the strap digging into the chain links of his chain shirt on his right shoulder.
The small iron chain of a necklace could be seen about his neck but isn't currently visible. Aside him his tattoos there was no visible identification marks on him or his gear, with lots of feather and angelic iconography. An orange sash hung about his waist but his garments were a wide variety of colours and styles from all around the Lake Encarthan area.

After seeing one strange creature after another enter the tavern the dwarf has become numb and is unfazed by the entrance of the half-giant. Halfheartedly he responded, ”Yes bad giant. If ya gonna be a Silver Shield you better learn to be rampaging like a proper giant.”
Briefly Inil considers the idea of clobbering the dwarf over the head with something thick and hard in order to try and knock some common sense into it, but quickly disregards the idea for even if he managed to get past the thick skull their would be no chance of bypassing the dwarfs ego.
Instead he turns to Amed."Nothing wrong with having a drink outside, infact the fresh air might do some of us good!."

Nicenzia hides a smile "I think the frog likes you Grimlak, perhaps you ought to carry around some treats for it, just to keep it on your good side." she says turning away before she starts smiling at the dwarf.
She turns to study the newcomer who like her is rather pale and darkhaired. "Well I wouldn't recommend drinking it if you don't have a yearning for it. You seem a bit like me, but I can sense a more otherworldly feeling about you. At least if I compare you to the humans around here. But as you say we are beginning to be quite the menagerie of different races here, so it wouldn't be strange to also have a few otherworlders amoung us by now."
"Well Inil the fresh air is certainly good for everyone, but unless the sun has settled by now I'm going to have to decline and stay in here untill dusk comes around." Nicenzia says finishing her glass of wine.
