Well, I think the very first Canadian thanksgiving was actually a pretty innocent event. It was when an English explorer arrived in Newfoundland, and they had dinner to celebrate being alive.
Buuuut.... it got more 'genocidal dinner' later on (at least how I learned about it). Not my favourite holiday, but my family likes the excuse to get together.
Please don't sue me if I got anything wrong ;)

Dm did say it was overtime season. That usually implies just at the end or beginning of the fiscal year, which is right now.
If it lasts longer than a month, I'd be surprised.

Good to see you back in one piece! I have my live game tonight, so I'll try to post something up tomorrow if I can't get to it today.

Whhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, that was a long break.
It's kind of hard to believe we've been doing this since January! Time flies fast on the boards. Just to give you guys a heads up of where I'm at, this is my life at the moment:
When I started this back in January, I had a bit of a different job (IRL that is) than I do know. Also, I don't think my relationship with my current significant other was quite as regular as it is now. Around March/April, I got promoted.
Trying to figure out how to maintain my schedule with these different influences on it, has been difficult. Spring is a busy busy season for me as well, and I think I made it through Spring with only limited absences. Fall is MUCH heavier, and I guess something had to give. I'm sorry that what had to give was my ability to DM this for a while.
I'm still very interested in keeping this going, and I am encouraged that you all sprung back so quickly! Here's to another 10 months, at least!
Now let's get adventurin'

And Galenus, sometimes the best riches are found in the underestimated and overlooked details. It is wise to pull on every thread.
Don't get me wrong; I'm enjoying it. I just feel like I've been hogging the spot light for too long.
I'm doing what I can to get others involved. :)

Galenus, what's your plan here? What are we ultimately doing with Martin?
Honestly my assumption was that we'd kill him, since he's come out an an Agent of Evil. To that end, getting him half an hour out of the city would be a fine idea.
Or we could have a friendly drink and then just leave the city. But leaving him alive almost guarantees that he'll cause mischief. Either turning the city against us, or ambushing us directly. Or maybe hiring some guys of his own and just waiting for us to trudge back in to town low on hp and spells.
So...?

I don't really have one. This entire time, I haven't been sure what to do. I've been trying g to extract I do as I can, but I've been hoping you all would help out. Unfortunately, there's been a lot of "I follow along" or "I try to get away."
I figure were going to have to kill him, but as a player it's not something I like and I'm not sure that's how I want my PC to be. But I don't really see an alternate.
On the killing note, I was thinking we could bring him to the trap and see what happens when he gets too close (the poor sap), but there's not enough time for it.
What I predict will end up happening is we finish up drinks, invite him out to see Shamus, the spell ends, he attacks or runs and we try to kill him. Some impression that'll make on our new dwarf friend. :/
For now, Anders recommended the drinks, so I've been waiting for him to say something or explain what he told the Zhentrim via the stone.

I know, but that was the ruse we pulled on Martin. That's what he is expecting.
Unless you have something better. I'm hoping one of you guys have an idea.

We've got a shapechanger, and a mind-talker, and we need a plan to deceive someone? Done!
Galenus can come up with this idea and then disseminate it. I'm going to assume that he fills Varus in on something about "Zhents are a crime family" or somesuch.
1) Sharla excuses herself and leaves. She goes outside and changes into an orc with one eye and a bad attitude.
2) Varus checks on something, then comes back, feigning panic, saying that he has just seen an evil-doer. "Indeed, 'twas Lord Borak the Despoiler himself. I caught High Father Joakim complaining about him once. Said he was a highly-placed muckity-muck in something called the "Zhentarium." He might have very well followed me here, gents, so be on your guard, and mayhap he shall pass us by."
3) Gal looks to Martin and, on his and Martin's behalf, offers to "handle" Lord Borak for Varus, to Varus' infinite gratitude.
4) Gal leads Martin out of the bar where Sharla, as Lord Borak, confronts the two, and communicates that Martin is wanted badly in *insert some town far away from here*. And he'd best leave now, on pain of death.
How's that? =)
Galenus
Solid plan. We may want to tweak it so the Zhentrim boss she's turning into isn't an orc.
I don't believe orcs run the Zhent. Usually humans.
Edit: thinking along these same lines, we've already told the ruse that Anders talked to Martin's boss via the sending stone. And Martin bekieves Anders is a member of the Zhent.
Why doesn't Anders just say, "hey, your boss wants to you go to *this place* and you'll receive instructions upon arrival.
With either plan, though, he's going to want the sending stone back - which will ruin any plan we make. That's going to have to get damaged.

Ok, Can we assume you put this thought in Anders head, Galenus. Because as a PC, he would not have come up with anything this complex. He would be more than likely to just take his axe to this dude.
Galenus
I'm good with that! Go for it, Anders!
Galenus
Wow, that was a climactic finish! Great job, Anders!
And that is a really cool concept, GM! I love it!
GM Grey
Thanks!
I changed the Campagin Info tab up some, removing GALT from the Town of Wyatt Peak spoiler, and adding it into it's own GALT spoiler below it. Hopefully this should making finding the current GALT statistics easier.
I added a Faction spoiler to keep track of all the faction stuff.
Any formatting requests for the Campaign Info section? I was thinking about breaking The town of Wyatt Peak up into a spoiler per business, but I don't know if that would be overkill. Thoughts?

Oh! I don't think it's me we are waiting on right now. I don't think the approach to the temple has been confirmed even by a rule of 2 yet.
No worries though, enjoy your breaks while you have them, if you have them! Or if you're in food/retail/shipping, YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THIS! THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END!

"Well, we've had good luck going in through the cemetery before, I see no reason to change now.
OK, let's try it. And I want to visit the architect's sacrophogus.
Let's get to choppin'!
I think we're at consensus that we want to do the same route we've been doing, through the cemetery.
The question still undecided is if we want to sneak around still, or just do the stealth rolls again once we get to the alchemist's door.
