Sādhanā recalls the briefest mention of a late Second Age demigod by the name of Oxoros, a purveyor of death and sorcery. Oxoros had no organized religion, simply filling gaps in the existing pantheon. Oxoros' actual nature was suspect, some believed he was a daemon or demon. The cyan eye was associated with his connection to arcane power. When Norgorber ascended to godhood, the demigod's shrines and followers mysteriously vanished. Scholars believe that Oxoros was struck down by the newborn god but the reasoning remains unknown.

Celia sees that the lamia has been cut several times. The cuts are shallow, indicating that the wounds are ritualistic.

The man faces Sādhanā, his cold grey eyes appraising the Anizari. Whatever geniality that was on his face is gone now. "Those 'excavators' are no more than grave robbers. This area is sacred land and they should not be here. We have given them adequate warning, but they have failed to heed our words."

With a push of will, she summons up Aroden's protection, a shimmering aura flaring to life over each member of the party in an instant. "Aroden be with us."

Meanwhile:
Back at the camp, the silence is broken by a scream and one of the tents, Garf's, catches fire. Sefirous steps out of the flames, the half-orc's head in his hand. He wears five ivory medallions shaped like hands around his neck. "Surprise."


"I am certainly not dead," the man says as his feet lift off the ground. His arms and legs become tentacles and his face transforms into a toothless maw. "Though I cannot say the same for you."

The eight guards that were escorting those carrying the cage become large shaggy beasts with long sharp horns.

Thunder sounds as Tesia puts down her book and stands up, "Oh lovely, just what we need. A drama Daemon. Just what the hells do you want this time?"

Deciding to deal with the easier problem first, she whispers some words in druidic, as water falls on the tent and surrounding twenty foot area, putting out the fire.

Cast Quench to put out the fire on the tent before it spreads. It's a 20 ft radius, so if that jerkface is standing near the tent, he gets drenched as well. It might not do any harm to him, but it's still funny. I just wasn't sure where he was standing.


Meanwhile:
Sefirous tosses Garf's head to the ground. "I don't have business with you. I was hired to take out the trash."

He then heads towards the halflings' tent.
