Le Quatrième Voile |

Welcome your personal Preparation Page!
For the next two or so weeks, you'll be playing a solo game with your GM. You'll be able to pursue your own goals during this time, as well try and get information or other help for the upcoming rescue.
Please keep to your own thread! Obviously this rule is going to come down to the honor system. Both the discussion and gameplay thread will be between you and the GMs. Everyone should feel free to discuss and explore their own secrets without the fear of other players learning them. You will have one GM running your game, but the other will dot in to keep up with everyone's story and to cover in case your regular GM is unavailable. We will use the same councilor profiles, but treat them as GM posts.
For OOC group questions, use the Alive in the Red Revolution Discussion, but avoid the Gameplay thread there while these threads are open. If your PC wishes to discuss anything with another PC, you must seek them out and roleplay the interaction.
Pacing The Chronometer at the top is going to track how close each player is to the next event. If you are able to post a lot, be prepared to post more detail, and move the hours more slowly. If you're posting less often, that's perfectly fine, but be prepared to move things along a little quicker.
Goals In addition to your participation with the Cerulean Council and their schemes, each PC has both personal goals to achieve. In addition to these goals, you all have everyday obligations to fulfill. The goal of our game is to play ALL these aspects; the full immersion of your PC's life. Keep all these things in mind, as well as the mundane needs of your PC. (food, sleep etc.)
Info bar We definitely want to see a block of info for each character, HP, AC, Saves, Init and Perception Modifiers. Please include anything specifically relevant.

Super, thanks!
If I want to interact with another PC, do I do so in my own thread, or pop into theirs?
(Not planning on it currently, just wondering how it works.)

Le Quatrième Voile |

You can seek them out, but Thisbe probably only knows how to find Emilien and Wyssal. Sending them a message would be very easy, if you're going to meet them for a chat, we'll have to run that case-by-case. I think we intend to avoid that as much as possible since with the exception of Emilien, not many of you have a public reason to talk with the others.
Passing messages through Emilien's business might be the best option for communicating discreetly, since that's what he does anyways. You can also leave messages at the Cerulean Sanctum, where everything is permanently protected from scrying.

I wasn't sure if the Plunging Blade would have Vice protection or not, though it seems like it might. However, it was a good watering hole to meetup at in that district. Let me know if you don't think it's a good fit.

Le Quatrième Voile |

Yes absolutely, in fact I imagine Thisbe is on good terms with the Blade's madame. In addition to the professional treatment Thisbe and her team recieve there, Madame Roulier is likely a good source of information
Similar to La Lumiere Rouge as a whole, the protection payments from the Blade isn't handled by foot teams like Thisbe's, but they do provide the protection like every other business. Unlike other businesses, it is very uncommon for a house of favors to fail to make their protection payments. Even if they should, they often have other assets that can be leveraged.
Vice members are welcome in almost every establishment north of the Kantele, but the attitude in brothels is much friendlier than other places. Thisbe herself (and other team leaders) are often served a complimentary drink or two.
It's also worth noting that nearly every brothel serves men and women, and has male and female courtesans.

Thisbe Cormorant |

Perfection! Thisbe would certainly make uses of the brothel's services in order to wine & dine someone, but she herself is principled to a fault, so wouldn't be seen participating in any of those activities. She doesn't have any ill feelings towards the workers, or those who partake, however, so I imagine she's on a friendly basis with any folks that she's come in contact with.
If there are any particular businesses north of the Kantele that Thisbe knows is not friendly, or at minimum accepting, of the Vice - let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably assume that she's virtually welcome in game.

Here is the updated info on the goons:
Thisbe works heavily with the toughs she was assigned by the Vice. They seem to trust Thisbe, or possibly fear her; as long as they do as their told, Thisbe doesn’t particularly have a preference.
Fat Man - Fat Man came to the Vice by way of pit fights. Thisbe knows little about his time before he was put on her team, yet she suspects that he's got a debt to pay. Fat Man speaks little, but is an intimidating 300 pound strong-arm that Thisbe relies on from time to time. He doesn’t say much and takes orders well: the perfect man.
Little Boy - Little Boy, a grown man who is a few inches shorter than he would like, is the fast-talking swindler who gets their targets talking. Thisbe often uses him as her go-between, allowing her presence to hold more gravitas. Sure, he might take the opportunity to swipe a few coins off the top of their collections, but Thisbe doesn’t blame him for that. His most notable feature is his unnecessary vocabulary, of which, he constantly employs. “A partisan who lacks in fecundity and grace is of no consequential caliber!”

Thisbe Cormorant |

Quick questions: who's Thisbe's boss? Does she report to them regularly, or only when called? Where do they station?

Thisbe Cormorant |

Also, I assume at times she'd get specific tasks from her boss when so & so doesn't pay, or when a business requests Vice presence for some reason or other. Wondering if she may need to go somewhere, or check-in with someone for those tasks, or if someone finds her.

Le Quatrième Voile |

What was the servant's house of the mansion that became the Promise of Coin: The Honey Pot is a completely renovated tavern. The Honey Pot specializes in expertly distilled spirits and vinted wines and succulent meads. Each, of course, comes at a premium for the quality. A common stop for the gamblers who've won big at The Promise of Coin.
Nearly all outside operations of the Vice go through The Honey Pot's back room. Runners are moving in and out the back door all day. Between the runners in and out and the spotters in fixed places, the Vice is able to get communications to their agents out and about very quickly. Likewise, a note left with a spotter can be expected to make its way back within an hour.
Anton Richard, Thisbe's boss, is probably the most publicly known member of the Vice. A 'made man', he's rarely found outside The Honey Pot's back room, where his every desire is meticulously attended to. Protection teams like Thisbe's physically check in once a day, usually around sundown. Anyone outside the Vice that needs to address something with the organization comes here, and submits their request to Richard.

We are nearing a full month since your last post, and we also have not received any acknowledgement about why. We certainly wish to continue with Thisbe, but 4 posts in the last two months is not sustainable to continue in the game. We will extend the rest of the weekend to engage again, but if you wish to continue we must see more engagement than we have recently.
If you simply wish to withdraw, we will understand.
